if you wanted to get someone into anime who has no prior experience, do you think it would be better to start them off with an english dub, one that is well done? to kind of ease them into it?
and if so, what are some easy to swallow for beginner series that have good english dubbing?
Good english dubs are hard to come by, but a couple dubs I personally find awesome are Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Inuyasha. Of those, Inuyasha is hard to just start someone into unless they're starting at the beginning. There's a lot of characters and even I get confused by all of them. FMA is easy to get into, especially if you have them watch the DVDs. But of those, if you can start them on Cowboy Bebop on [as] before they show episode 5 "Ballad of the Fallen Angels", they should easily get into it. 5 is the first episode (I think it's the first) that deals with what you could call the main story in Bebop, dealing with Spike, Vicious, and "Girl whose name is esacping me"...
