TRU Green Tag going to 90% starting 3-16

Hello everyone, and I guess this is my first post on here. I have fell in love with this site, and now it is time to contribute myself. I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but everything at TRU that is green tagged will be 90% off starting tomorrow (3-16). My store only has accesories, but some other stores may have some games, but I doubt it.

If this has already been, posted, go ahead and delete it.

TRU took a bunch of items to clearance out and put green price stickers on them. Any item with a green price sticker was a certain % off, first 30%, then 50%, then 70%, now 90%. It only applies to stores that are not closing (I think)

You're right Yoshi, as the games that they had at the TRU in Springfield, PA that closed were between $30-50 on average. And even at 50% off, that was $15-25, which was still better than full retail. But, by the next to last week open, there wasn't much of note left. And the clearanced games were all back up to full retail for the closing.

Speaking of which, if my friend n I go to AC anytime soon, I have to try n hit the Sam Goody in Springfield, see what their % off is at now, as well as the Gamestop near there, since its a little rinky dink one. They may have some prior penny guides left that I could grab.

Anyway, best of luck to all on finding a store with the green tag games @90% off, as the stores by me took all those games OFF green tag and have them ORANGE tagged for months now.

My store also has some docking stations for the GBA ($1.50?), some messengers for GBA ($3), a multitap for the original Playstation ($3?), and it also said we had some PS2 2D sound systems, but I couldn't find any.

GL in finding some stuff. I am pretty sure that there are no games on the green tag list, but I may be wrong.

Well that sounds really great...too bad I was ing BANNED FROM MY TRU FOR NO REASON AT ALL. They never even told me why they kicked me out of the store while I was gathering my games to purchase (I suspect it was for being a "devil customer" the past couple years).

If you're in the market for a bike (not videogames-related, I know)... keep your eyes peeled for a 26" Mens Mongoose Plan X ($13.50 after GT), or (can't think of the company) Vibe, in 26 or 24 ($7 after GT).

Oh man that was great, and it ran along the trade in any two games recieve 10 dollars bonus credit at EB, no exclusions. Too bad TRU actually made an effort to pile up and mark the GT games, so mine has nothing left.

Yes, all games were $9.99. There must be another list somewhere, because I remember buying games at that huge $9.99 sale that I don't see on the most recent list (February 2006) that I just posted. Most notably were Geist, Sid Meier's Pirates, Doom 3 and Ninja Gaiden.

Those games were marked 9.99 but the green tags were removed. So i guess they aren't green tagged anymore therefore wouldn't be at 90%. Can someone confirm this/deny from past experiences ?

Games should not be 90% off. The only exception (not sure of TRUs policy) is maybe if the employees were too lazy to ever take off the green tags, maybe you could get them to honor the 90% off.

I wouldn't mind getting a decent bike hella cheap, though I have absolutely no place to put it. My old mountain bike is still in my parents garage and the tires have probably rotted through.

Unless you have an a'hole for a cashier/manager, which is not uncommon, then you should be able to get GT games at 90% off.

Last year I got the Soul Calibur II DELUXE strategy guide for like $2.50; it was awesome because you get the hardcover guide AND the soundtrack. They had a table right in front of the R-Zone that featured a lot of green tagged merchandise.

just got back from my local tru, i picked up the portable dvd player (they had 2 of them left) for $3.30 after 90% off. it's made by 'teen tech' and is geared towards kids, comes with a case that lets you mount it in the backseat of your car and also comes with a cigarette lighter power adapter. the screen is really small, it doesn't list the dimensions on the package, but i'd guess 4" or 5".

i also picked up a soft carrying case for gamecube for $.98, not on greentag, just clearanced, as well as viewtiful joe 2 for $9.98, not greentagged either.

4) Rf adapter for gc

game were all 2 dollars and the rf adapter was 1.70

Mine in Melbourne, FL only had the PS1 starter kit, some PS1 mem cards, and a GBA/SP docking station/charger. That was it as far as game stuff. Also, they had them at the front of the store by the merch pickup counter.
