TRU Green Tag going to 90% starting 3-16

Hello everyone, and I guess this is my first post on here. I have fell in love with this site, and now it is time to contribute myself. I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but everything at TRU that is green tagged will be 90% off starting tomorrow (3-16). My store only has accesories, but some other stores may have some games, but I doubt it.

If this has already been, posted, go ahead and delete it.

Is the 90% off at only the closing tru's or all of them? I had them scan final fantasy for (gc) and doom (xbox) and they both were still 9.99 each.

Games are no longer green tagged. All games that were green tagged at $10.

Picked up an Intec Wireless Racing Wheel for 6 bucks. Congrats to the CAGer who got games from this sale.

Is that for xbox?

I got an Intec Leather PSP case for $.48. It was normal clearance though. They had a bunch. Didn't see much else. I was suprised that there were still a lot of $9.99 games. Nothing to interesting but still.
Picked up a ps1 starter kit, not much else there. Guy swore it would be 70%. I love when that happens.
Yes! Happened to me today. I went to TRU in Livingston, NJ and picked up 4 Xbox bundle cases w/ all the goodies.(Pro Gamers Kit) They had about 10 left. I bought one about two months ago for $18.00. I asked him to scan it. He said " Oh, its' $18." I scanned it myself....$6. You should have seen his face. I commenced to semi-haording. I only bought 4.
I thought games were no longer green tagged and were fixed at 9.99?
They are I'm guessing that this guy probably found some games that still had a green price tags on them and got them to adjust it to being what the price was on the tag minus - 90% and just forgot to mention it.
The LCD screen already went Green Tag at my local one. Is it the one that fits on top of the old style PS2 ?
Looks like it . Rang up at 99.99

Nothing at the Golf Mill TRU besides 8mb memory expansion thingys for the PS2.

They do have a ton of copies of FFI+II: Dawn of Souls for 9.99 though.
If you're in the market for a bike (not videogames-related, I know)... keep your eyes peeled for a 26" Mens Mongoose Plan X ($13.50 after GT), or (can't think of the company) Vibe, in 26 or 24 ($7 after GT).

Other than that, my store is more or less wiped clean...
Thanks sp00ge, I scored the last Mongoose at my TRU. The $7+ bike is the MURRAY Vortex for anyone looking to score. Along with the bike I was able to score the following:

PS2 2D Sound System $2.99 x 2 (One for my wife's friends daughter as a B-Day present... phew I hate it when you have to list associations that long:) )

PS2 Multiplayer Adapter- Intec $2.99
PS2 8MB Memory Expansion $.80 x 2
Astro Boy Action Figure $.80
Leap Frog Mind Bender Game $1.90 x 2 (For my wife's 5th graders)

Total w/ bike = $31.xx

Picked up a PSone starter kit (included extension cord...Im using it for guitar hero, controller, etc) 2 bucks
Network adaptor for PS2 3 bucks
and a GCN Enter the Matrix cheat disc for 1 buck

nowhere near the haul I got last year but a couple good buys... Id have picked up one or those GCN starter kits, if I hadnt already had 2 or 3 extra unopened controllers from the last sale... but it does have a memory card in it so I might snag a silver one eventually

PS1 extentions work with ps2? That rocks - mine TRU had a buttload if anyone is looking for ps1 stuff (multitaps, memory cards, starter kits) all about $2 or so.

I don't know how much of these posted lists apply to this sale. My TRU(which isn't closing) seemed to have several items including the EA Sports Controllers, the aluminum cases, and the racing wheels, but everything scanned full price. The woman there, who I assume was part of management, had the list right in front of her and said they were out of everything that was 90% off, at least in the video game section.

Someone earlier also mentioned the GB Player. Those weren't discounted either.

Yep. For that matter, PS1 controllers with with the PS2 as well. The only real difference between them is that the PS2 version of the dual shock has analog rather than digital buttons (which makes no difference whatsoever for most games).
Picked up 2 PS2 lcd screens for $13 apiece. I'm going back later tonight for more. Thanks for the heads up!!
SKU/Brand? I did see some Intec LCD's w/ the PSTwo on the box.

Also does TRU price adjust and if so what is the time frame? I bought 4 of those 8mb Memory Expansions @ $2.40, but now they're $.80.

picked up a ps2 pro gamer case for 6 bux. Gamecube starter kit for 3 bux.

Been to 3 IL TRU
glendaleheight/lombard/donwers grove
Nothing worth mentioning... (and I took the last brand new looking "wrapped" pro gamer case)

Schaumburg TRU had 2 5" PS2 LCD i believe came down to 15 bux after 90% off. I saw those LCD there yesterday, but not sure if it's gone today. Good luck if anyone wanna go check it out.

I didn't get anything video game related... all my store had left were some 2d speker systems for PS2, PS2 starter kits w/ optical cable, remote, controller, etension, etc($5), GC Starter Kits ($3) and some random PSone garbage.

I did pick up the two bikes I planned on getting (13.50 & 7.00), a Phantom Soccer Ball ($1.50), a Pooh Growth Chart for my daughter (.44) and some random giftwrap stuff ($.14-.28)... after associate discount and tax I ended up at just under $23....

"You saved $215.85" :D

Are you sure it doesn't come with a battery? If it's the same car I picked up at KB for $10, 2 years ago, it came with a battery and charger.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The only think I picked up at TRU was Syphon Filter Omega Strain for $2.99 (Green Tag $29.99). As expected it rang up for $9.98 but they did an over-ride. That was the only green tag game I saw (I did see others but none had green tags on them anymore)

The TRU in Montgomery didn't have anything! I did get Beyond Good and Evil for the gamecube for $19.99. Not a deal but I've been looking for it forever.

how are the Go.net ethernet online adapters for PS2? they are on green tag for 3 or 4 bucks. I need a online adapter for my PS2, wondering if anyone has heard any good things about this one, as opposed to getting a Sony one.

From everything I've heard, they're a total joke.

There's nothing at the Rockford, IL TRU... besides a GC started pack, GBA screen protectors, and a DS stand (which just... displays your DS for all to see:whistle2:?).

I was hoping I'd find some useful accessories but nothing... I decided to pick up a pack of screen protectors and use them with my DS. Hope they work and if they don't, oh well, they're only $.50.:)

The extensions worked fine with me... basically bought it to have a little more freedom on Guitar Hero

I remember hitting up that TRU in December, one of the worst organized TRU's Id ever seen.. bought nothing
about the portable dvd player, it's by teen tech and it's geared towards kids, the screen is 3.5". my local tru didn't have the player but it had the accessory kit with a carrying case that can mount in your car's back seat + cigarette lighter power adapter + headphones for $3.30 after 90% off.
My TRU had about 10 of these behind the glass, but the guy working there said they were being recalled and wouldn't sell me one. Is this true?

If you need it for PC or a Tivo, then go for it -- if you want something for a PS2, you really should get the official one. I'm actually using one on my laptop right now to make this post. (USB network adapter = one less cable to plug in when I take my laptop home)

nothing great in TRU at fulton mall, only bunch of 3rd party memory card and junk.i guess i will swing by the other TRU in metropolitian and time square later this week.

Yep, product quality recall.... at least 2/3rd of all that we sold were brought back within a week due to them "breaking."

Thanks, glad the guy didn't budge and sell me one then.

mine had a bunch of spider man controllers for the PS2 i picked them up at the 70% off.. got about 4.. (2 for ps2, 2 for my ps1) for about 4 dollars each.. and a darth vader cookie jar for like 2 bucks.. but i thought it was pretty much cleaned out when i went then and that was a few months ago.

Wow Too bad on my luck with the bike I found the 24" Mongoose Plan X but no thte 26 inch..

What size was the Vortex by Murray?

i bought the intec wireless racing wheel for $5.99. it doesnt seem to work. it comes with batteries but i might be thinking the batteries are dead or low in energy. it comes with shitty batteries. im gonna buy fresh duracells later to test it out. if that doesnt work then i have to return it. its a hassle to return big items.

anyone bought one of those to see if its the battery problem?

I checked out mine and the 2d and 3d surrond systems were $29.98 and $39.98 respectively.....

I did get the Wireless AV selector and a PS2 and GC bundle pack all for $11.37 so not too shabby.

If anyone is able to get me a 2d or 3d surround system at the 90% off price lemme know. I'll pay cost + shipping + extra.

Does anyone have the pictures of the bikes? The TRU near me has them hung up high. Also, do they keep them in the bike section or are they out with the clearance stuff?

never buy anything made by intec, no matter how cheap it is.
picked up 2 5.4 intec lcd screen ps2 for $15 each. not bad
What color is the packaging?

Just went to the Langley Park, MD TRU and wasn't much there. PS One multitaps, memory card enhancers, NGC speakers. They had a bin full of games under $10 (Strike Force Bowling, Dr3ver (Xbox), NHL 2K5 (Xbox), Trival Pursuit (Xbox), Geist (NGC)).

Found Conker guide for .01, but they would only sell it to me for $1.
