I won but it wasn't pretty. Part of it was being rusty but another was Moojuice's style...he was able to catch a bunch of my strikes and controlled the clinch game well.I got dominated the first round and rocked. I felt I was losing the second as well but I managed to rock him at the end of the round...third I would say even until I got a takedown and finished it with ground and pound.

Yeah, the stoppages in this game are wacky. Hopefully, EA fixes that.
 
Also I haven't heard back from my other opponents. I don't think they've been on Xbox since they haven't accepted my friend requests.

Just had a great fight with Ultimate Matt X. I almost won in the first round, but he got up and whooped my ass to get the stoppage. I just can't win with Tabasco.

Thanks again, and the feeling is mutual. It was a great battle. I was lucky enough to survive being rocked twice, as well as a kimura that almost made me tap.

Random idea: Instead of weekly cards, how about monthly? Everyone is fixated on new games it seems but once a month should be easy.

To many two opponents. I'll be on tonight 11:30PM EST and any time tomorrow or Saturday. I'm pretty easy to get a hold of since I'm on Netflix quite a bit.

I hear you, but like I said, most of us have been doing this since February. I'm also trying to anticipate how busy I'm going to get with the Madden and NHL leagues I'll be running. If everyone is ok with scaling back though, I could definitely put together a card once a month. I just can't imagine how bad I'll be at the game at that point since that'll probably be the only time I really play it, haha.

As for our fight this week, I'll be available tomorrow night any time after 9 PM EST, or Saturday evening from 6 PM EST on. Let me know what works for you.

Tentatively I'm in for monthly cards, but like N8 said, we've been doing this for awhile now. I'd rather just spar randomly if people are interested. We'll see though.

We had bad lag in this one, especially in the first. Im sure it messed us both up. With that said I was pretty dominant in this match. His guy was the most resilient fighter ever.. I rocked him something like 4 times and he was able to recover every time. Finally got the KO with a knee.

Its too bad I didn't have my recorder out as this was an outstanding match. Alot of give and take but I think I took more then gave...at least the first couple rounds. We both played real similar, using feints, throwing combos, mixing up takedowns, getting reversals etc. I got rocked in the second but survived...third round I got a takedown, took the back and did some good damage..I got thrown off at the end of the round...decided to try to get a last punch in and was met with a spinning heel kick to the head for my trouble...it rocked and dropped me. The bell rang immediately afterwards though, I think I would've been finished had he got to follow up. Fourth round I think he was expecting a takedown and I hit him with a spinning back fist that rocked him..then some ground and pound for the tko...great match.

I should be available the rest of the weekend. How about 8 pm EST tomorrow? I'd say tonight, but I don't want to post last minute and then try rescheduling due to the late asking.

I know it's past the deadline, but we have been trying. Communicated by PM and all, but both our schedules have been opposite. No fault on either of us really.

Well, technically, it's actually not past the deadline yet. ;) Even though it's not going to be enforced too strictly, you'd have through today anyway. But I haven't done my fight with Calipso yet either. I got caught up playing NHL 12 with the CAG hockey team last night, and we went on a pretty good run.

Having said that, Calipso, if you're around tonight, I'm available to do the fight anytime before the Strikeforce card starts (really looking forward to seeing Ronda Rousey kick some ass!) Let me know if you have time to get our fight in.

Really good fight with Calipso. We traded a lot of big shots, and were both trying to get each other's timing down. He rocked me with a big kick, and somehow, I was able to stay standing and push him away. Near the end of the round, I landed a big kick of my own and rocked & dropped him. He fell pretty hard, giving me a backmount position, so I decided to go for broke and try to end it. Relentless hooks to the head finally got Mario Yamasaki to step in with one second left in the round. If Jordan had escaped, I probably would have been gassed all to hell in the next round, lol. So, I'm grateful for that stoppage. Good fight Calipso!

EDIT - Just noticed Jordan's head damage was only at 86% after the fight....so again, probably another odd stoppage. If it were real life, it might fall under the "not intelligently defending himself" criteria, but in a video game, all you can do is cover up. It'll be interesting to see if when EA takes over they'll add new options like rolling to your back to avoid just eating shots like that. Just giving the fighter more control would be good in those situations.

I'd like to think I had n8rockerasu pretty much at a distance the whole fight. Had him good once with a spinning headkick. We almost lost connection.

My blocks (was holding head block) weren't doing squat and he kept sneaking in with punches and countering. Got hit with one good kick upside the head, went down and couldn't defend.

Good fight. Sucks to end on a low note. :)

Yeah, we also seemed to have the same idea several times as we threw pretty much the same strike at the same time. I really wish I had my recorder on for this one. There was one where we both threw nearly simultaneous spinning back fists, and somehow, they both landed...like two quick slaps to the face. It was like a 3 Stooges routine, lol.

I'm trying to see what video I can gather from the fight replays, etc. I'll try to get something posted soon.

Oh, also, this won't be the last card. I think we can do at least one more.

I was at that Strikeforce show. Got $150 area tickets comped! Will post a link to pics if anyone is interested.

Scorch messaged me Saturday morning on XBL saying he forgot about the fight and asked to do it that day, but I didn't see his message til today since I was in San Diego for Strikeforce and then LA for WWE SummerSlam. I'll ask him about getting that in today.

Oh Nate, yu know I don't drink. Haha... actually, it was through a guy I had dealt with before regarding WWE tickets, and he had a whole row of something like 12-14 seats in the 2nd row of the loge section, so he offered 2 of them up to me and my friend Jed.

I'll post a link to the pics once I upload them. Some are kind of blurry, but I did get a few nice shots. I tried to take at least a couple pictures during each fight, but I couldn't really photograph fighters' entrances well due to the lighting setup.

Saturday I was playing with the wife, and didn't see the game invites. Sunday I was on from 8 PM - 10 PM EST and didn't see you on.

I need a bit more notice if I'm going to be on. How about 10 PM EST tonight? 11:30 PM EST is cutting it pretty late for me since I'm working OT early in the mornings.

I was on last night from 11:30-1:30am.

I work Sunday-Thursday from 3PM-11PM EST.

I was online last night from 11:15PM EST to 3AM EST. I was on netflix watching Breaking Bad. figured you may pop on during that time.
