Update - 3.50 downgrade NOW AVAILABLE. Requires the EU or US version of Lumines.

Unless you really want to run homebrew, don't downgrade.
But also don't upgrade beyond 3.50. I'd just wait until castlevania comes out, and then see what firmware version, if any, it requires to play.

The upcoming psp redesign is only going to confuse these issues even more and if castlevania is your priority, there is no need to risk that.
Sweet, thanks for the link. Just wanted to let people know that the Japanese version of Lumines works now for downgrade. If anyone needs Lumines for downgrading, I would be willing to pass my copy around as long as you sent it back.:)
PM sent, i really need to downgrade and cant find a copy =X

PRIMETIME I went to 3.50 a couple days ago, sitting here with lumines in my hand.
Besides the MB Frmware issue/ I just don't have a very good internet connection for DLing either so I can't really take advantage of any of the larger HOMEBREW apps etc.. or are they even large Downloads?
But there is always that side of me that wants to do something just to see if I can do it.
Thanks for the input guys either way you go the PSP rocks IMO a terrific portable gaming device to say the least.

Well, most are around 20 mb or less from what I can tell. IRshell takes up around 50 mb but I think that's one of the more high end anomalies.

I'm sure someone else can input too ;)

What I do is download on my computer at work (or library, etc.), use a flash drive to carry the files home and use USB from a computer to transfer to the PSP. But, that may not be what you are asking, anyway....

well I took the plunge and downgraded now I need a good reliable DL site for the 3.40 OE (suggestions)
with the redesigned system on the horizon I figured I would free this one up for HB etc...
sounds like the DL sizes aren't too bad and I am just too curious

I d/l everything I can from pspupdates after I got winrar. Haven't had any problems so far.

After not playing with my PSP in like .. months. I decided I probably want to get a custom firmware so I can play homebrew games. Sadly, I am an EXTREME UBER N00B TO THIS! :(

My current firmware is the very latest..3.52
Will the Lumines downgrade work?

I hope someone can help. I've been very iffy about all this..I dont want to brick my PSP :(

Only Pandora's battery will work for you if you know someone with custom firmware.

Yeah, you need someone with homebrew to make the battery/memory stick for you.
3.51, 3.52 and beyond can only be downgraded via pandora.
On the plus side, pandora can restore a bricked psp, so there is no chance of rendering your psp unusable.
You could go on to the qj.net forum and see if any users are in your area. They could set your psp up very easily.

Hmmm. I'm really in no rush..and I'm sure there will be a downgrade for what I have now. I just won't upgrade from now on lol
