Isn't Hot Tub Time Machine supposed to be a lightning deal later in the week?

I grabbed a bunch of blu-rays tonight:

Dog Soldiers - $9
Fargo - $8.50
the Wolfman - $10
the Wrestler - $8
Law Abiding Citizen - $8
Predator (Ultimate Edition) - $8
Planet Hulk - $8

There is a lot of discounted Criterion Blu's on sale, I don't know what they normally go for but they seem to be discounted pretty good.
:dvd: The Big Bang Theory season 1 $12.99

Hopefully, Amazon will drop the price of season 3 to $12.99 to PM Target's BF sale.
Whoops, just checked its the DVD version that will be a lightning deal.

Dollhouse S1 Blu for $13.99...don't know if the lightning deal next Monday is going to be any better but eff it, I'm in. Always wanted to check this show out.

Don't get Predator Ultimate Ed (2010).

Instead get the original Predator (2008) version since Fox screwed up and made the video quality of the newer version worse!

I just went nuts. Got these....

All for $138. Have Amazon Prime :D

Harry Potter 1-6
LOTR 1-3
The Departed
Slum Dog Millionaire
Hangover
Zack and Miri Make a Porno
Fight Club

Gah, had to bite on these Blu-rays:

Appleseed Ex Machina (anyone know anything about Vexille?)
Ghost in the Shell 2.0 (15 bucks not bad/have it on DVD but I'm a GitS fan)
Hellboy II: The Golden Army
I Am Legend
Role Models
The Hangover
Ronin (been wanting this at a good price for a long time)

Wanted so much more but I'm saving, gotta be better deals coming up.

I MIGHT be all over the Smallville seasons depending on price. I know there's going to be a complete series set eventually and hopefully in blu...

Nothing for me tomorrow it seems.

Bought Prison Break: Final Break (BR), Predator Ultimate Edition (BR) and Prison Break Season 3 (DVD). Cannot bring myself to buy the LotR movies since they are not the extended editions.

Just in case, all seasons of Prison Break (DVD) are at $11.99.

Looks like Amazon put all of the Futurama DVD's on sale:

Volumes 1, 3, and 4 - $8.99 each

Volume 2 - $9.49

Plus all 4 Futurama movies are $5.99 each. These are the DVD versions.

Am I better off buying the TV sets or waiting to see if a good video deal shows up later this week?

For what it's worth, Amazon.fr has the (never released in America) season 2 and 4 sets of Prison Break for a reasonable price regularly ($30 and $40 respectively) if you don't want to be stuck with DVDs for those.

Anyway, does anybody know if the Futurama sets are censored? For example, the "sweet zombie Jesus!" line. (edit: Apparently they are not. Ordered!)

Well that is frustrating. Claimed a dvd version on accident and cancled it immediately, and now it won't let me order the blu-ray version of Men who stare at goats >_

Man, I'm going to need a sale on shelving, I'm already out of room and these sales aren't helping.

Wow, Monday and my bluray BF shopping is almost done. I just need to wait till Friday for Superbad and i will be done. keeping my eye on Back to the Future blus. Any guesses how much that will be? Thx op, everyone, and amazon.

Fight club 10
The hangover 10
The Boondock Saints: All Saints Day - $10.99 (yeah I know a dollar more then bf)

Ended up picking up all three LOTR's, Princess Bride, and Waltz With Bashir. Bashir is a great flick if you enjoy war documentaries and the visuals are absolutely amazing. Think A Scanner Darkly, but war themed. It's never dropped below $20 in nearly two years, so now is the time to buy if you enjoyed the film.
Help!!! Up blu-ray is 19.99... should I bite at that price or wait?!
Honestly, $19.99 is nothing special, even if it's a Disney/Pixar movie. I would definitely wait.

Yesterday I got in on that TMNT boxset from Barnes and Noble... plus the ALIEN Anthology + LAST OF THE MOHICANS for $65 on Amazon...

Now I bit on THE SIMPSONS MOVIE (Xmas for my Dad), TIME BANDITS, FANBOYS and all 3 LORD OF THE RINGS.

Its going to be an expensive week for me! Thanks everyone!

leave feedback at the bottom on the tell us about a lower price, this could work, hopefully they will reduce the price on District 9, Karate Kid, 28 weeks later and Oldboy.
hmm is this the cheapest that "i am legend" will get? i thought it was going to be $5 at walmart.
Last year the huge collector's edition was $7.99 from Best Buy... if you had Silver, that was the way to go.

WOW, that HP set on blu is a steal. That comes out to what...$5 per movie? Sick deal. Would jump on it if I didn't already own them.

BTW, is their website swamped right now? I can go onto their website.

Doh! The reason i skipped on the first blu-ray release of 'Predator' was because I heard it was missing extras and didn't look much better than the DVD in the transfer. Now I find out this newer release has a lot of extras but it is the victim of DNR. Meh, I might just return it after I get it. Normally I am better about doing my homework on blu-rays and skipped some bad transfers like 'Gladiator' but I got caught up in the mark down frenzy late last night.

At only $8 it's not really a bad deal, especially if you wanted all the extras :)

Plus, the visuals aren't going to be glaringly bad in all scenes. Only in some will you see the actors look like they're toy figures and such. I've seen worse personally.
hmm is this the cheapest that "i am legend" will get? i thought it was going to be $5 at walmart.

also on the calendar, if i am not mistaken, it said harry potter 1-6 will be $39.

:
Harry Potter: Years 1-6 - $39.99 Blu-ray, $23.99 DVD (
Is this 100%? -_- I ran and bought it today for $10 each on Blu Ray. Sigh i'd then have to buy the $40 I guess and return the rest. It may not even be worth it.

Guys I've never watched the FIRST Harry Potter movie...the new one looked pretty good though. At $40 that's tempting, are they worth watching? Never really looked appealing but I'd be willing to give them a shot. I doubt I'll read the books.

I didn't watch the first one until like 2005, and by then I believe they had come out with the 3rd or 4th one. Good movies, and it's kinda cool to watch the three main characters grow up.

At $5 per movie, in HD, it's a steal.

BTW, I can't get on Amazon right now. I'm guessing it was the Twilight movie that got the site to crash. Sign of things to come?

I just started watching the first one after 10 years and I loved it.

I love the early ones much more than the later ones. The world seems more like the book and it just feels great. The first two are directed by Chris Columbus, and they give me that same warm feeling that Home Alone 1 and 2 gave me (same director). Def. worth getting.

wow, $5 for Die Hard... I don't know if I can say no to that... And I'm totally in for PoP.

As far as future deals, I'm interested to see how low the Lost complete series goes for. I don't have too much interest in seeing that show, so the price would have to be pretty low for me to bite.

I'll pretty much be watching all the blu-ray deals. I'm sure there will be more good Die-Hard-esque deals and I will be there to grab them!

Nice. Well, my grandmother was asking what I wanted for Christmas this year and I didn't really know. I figure I'll order this HP set and maybe NCAA 11 or some other 34.99 game and finish off with some money.

Btw, I have the coolest grandma of any CAG  She still goes to the movies once a week and she and I split those blu-ray/DVD combo packs all the time, she'll ask me if I'm getting a certain movie and if it comes with a DVD she wants in, lol.
