Urban Dead - The Official Cheap Ass Survivor Thread
I killed a zed with 1 hp with a flare, it was grrrrreat!:D
I like to fight 'em with whatever I got handy, 'nuff said.

Option: It appears I should thank you for the mizzap so thanks!
anti-sense for the win.

I say we just punch zeds to death.

edit: there's a bunch of zeds south 1 block of us. It's a cemetery but not a designated revive point (no one is running it). I say screw the "Sacred Ground Policy".

I tried a few characters and I keep dying because I leave a building, stomp zombies until I've got a few points left, head back and find the idiots inside overbarricaded the building and I lose my remaining points trying to find a building that will let you fucking go inside.

That's what UDBrain is for. Shows barricade status for all buildings around you. Use UDBrainMap, and you can see for the entire map's barricades.

The problem is it can't be completely trusted. It requires other users to be using UDBrain so that is can upload the data to the database. If a person running UDBrain hasn't been in a building for a long time, the cade status can be completely wrong. UDBrain led me to lose around 10 AP tonight after trusting that the building I was trying to enter was really VSB. It was actually EHB.

As long as a lot of us are running it, most of the data in this area of the 'burb will be up-to-date. Until then, use caution when outside buildings.

But it tells you when the last update was, so you still have something on which to base your judgment.

And in general, just stick to the south or maybe the NE corner.
I didn't get the PM. Maybe because I'm not on the CASWiki but honestly I'm too stupid to add myself.
I didn't get one, and I am on the Wiki. And my PM box isn't full. :whistle2:k

I like the challenge of playing sans extras. Never gets as tense as when you're in an unfamiliar area running low on ap trying to find an entry point!
I like the challenge of playing sans extras. Never gets as tense as when you're in an unfamiliar area running low on ap trying to find an entry point!
It gets old after the third or fourth time.

This entire game is repetitious and gets old, the social aspect keeps 'ya in it.

I've been enjoying my undead alt. though, he's scored a kill the last 5 times I played.
It is getting much easier with him though, almost too easy to be honest actually.

BTW, just checked in and scouted around, nothing new to report.

I just thought of something. Considering how well the zombies seem to be doing, it may be easier to start a zombie character, build up a lot of EXP, get a revive to human and spend the exp on human skills.

Finally killed my first zombie and gained a level. Now that I have free running I should be able to meet up with everyone if someone could PM me the current HQ.

Shit, I made a mistake. I got to the museum, however there was zombie next door, so I chopped him up some. However I forgot that to automatically enter buildings, you had to previously be in a building. Well I ran out of AP,so I am currently sitting in the Open Church next door. There are zombies everywhere, can some please get over here and barricade this church or at least protect me some?

Looks like you made it into our HQ ok.

HotShot, I healed you up twice for 20 HP and cured your infection. 1 HP?! Wow.

The church next door is breached. There are 7 zombies inside as of now.

I took a few potshots at 1 but didn't kill him and managed to barricade the doors a little.

There were also 3 survivors in there as well, at least for now.

Zombies on our doorstep, xp nearby, take 'em out!

Last night, a couple of humans started to attack the 100+ zed mob around Mavern Mall.

They bragged up front, "Time to whittle your ranks down."

2 minutes later, they were running away.

Moral of the story: Let your gun do the talking.

Yeah, thats why I'm not bothering the zeds in the church. I'm not biting off more than i can chew, need the ammo if they attack later anyway.

hey! i justgot the pm, about the museum..im in the bagnall building, ive go about 3 syringes made, cause of my crazy schedule i cant be around to raid much :( at least not yet

Well, seems like the zeds are creeping up from the southwest. The church seems gone already.

I'm going to look for an alternative place if we can't qualm the zeds. Most likely somewhere Southeast.

edit: Make that South. At this rate, we're going to be pinched off from the east-Malton based survivors.

edit 2: You know what? I think we should just hold this place, there are only 6 zeds inside that church. All the other places south/southeast of us are near pker territory.

It won't be long before we run out of places to hide. I've already noticed how buildings around here are almost all full of people. Everyone is trying to put as much distance between themselves and the hordes as hey can.

We could try buttonville, it has a mall too.

I was thinking buttonville, but because of the mall, the mobs are going to rain down on it like hot fire. Plus the pkers would most likely be farming there for easy kills. I say we clear out the church SE of us (free run to it). I got 1 down, but ran out of ap. There are 5 left in there and 2 survivors idle. 3 dead bodies as well. Don't worry about the cemetery south of us, that's just a revive point as designated by the Sacred Ground Policy.

Would be good if we can all attack it together tonight. I have a decent amount of AP, but not much ammo left. All the PDs are on the other side of the town, i don't usually have as much success searching them either.

just east of us is a huge hospital / police complex full of people.

it'd be a good place to fall back to if need be - i've been going there for supplies.

Anyone here use Mortal's/GM script? It's pretty awesome. Made me drop udtoolbar for it. The graphical enhancement was just lagging the load times. Plus, the script makes Urban Dead all blacked out. Pretty tizight if you ask me.

Just checked in and took a trip into the adjacent church.
Killed 1 zombie and dumped his body, leaving 4 inside.
Church 'cades at loose, few more idle survivors in there too.

As for moving, I'm not sure we have to just yet.
I think we have a decent spot here that we can hold for now.
I'm not big on the malls, more trouble then they're worth right now.

Wow, I like the look of the game using that script. It's called Urban Dead Things. Very cool.

Not sure about the load time improvement since I turned the graphics off on UDToolBar anyway. I found them distracting.

It gives lots of cool info too, like nearest buildings, ap timers, links related to the burb, etc. I think load time is same, if not better than udtoolbar. As for the udtoolbar links (actual toolbar part) i just made my own bookmarks instead.

I wasn't getting half of the stuff that it does until I uninstalled UDToolBar. Pretty cool features. Works with UDBrain as well.
