Urban Dead - The Official Cheap Ass Survivor Thread

I finished leveling as a Human, woot! I'm in Freeman Towers now after going to the Taylor PD. 2 Zeds in Taylor, got one down to 9HP from 60HP. Hasn't been ruined yet, doors are wide open though. Survivors are still alive in there.

Like I said earlier, I think the location's going to get out no matter what we do. If Plume let it slip that it's Shearbank, what's the big deal? Sooner or later, someone's going to do something dumb (like I did earlier ) and it'll hit the thread.

For now on I'm waiting til i have at least 20 AP before moving. I fell outside a building and all the surrounding ones are to barricaded for my to get into. Something tells me I'm not gonna make it to the new place alive.

I got killed twice in the past 2 days, so I finally make it somewhere safe to try to save up some AP and some asshole kills me for no apparent reason. I think I'm finished with this game now.

PKing is part of the game, suck it up and get revenge.

be careful when you all go into the lower parts of east and west becktown. a number of those buildings are ruined and wide open and some of those buildings have zombies in them. doesnt seem to be too many though and theyre spread out a bit. of the the nt buildings there is ruined though so if you make the trek there have plenty of ap.

kinda sucks though seems theres more benefit to being a zombie over a human at this rate. they could at least level it out some somehow.

Modium: PKers are about a billion times more common than they were when I started playing. I've got nothing in particular against PKers when it's done right (IE, death cult attacks during a siege), but the rate and manner in which it's been done lately is really getting annoying fast.

Lokizz: Thing is, us humans outnumber the zombies by a rather large amount. Kevan has tried to fix this by repeatedly buffing zombies to ridiculous levels. Kevan, however, isn't that bright, as he hasn't realized that the reason nobody plays as a zombie is because they start off so fucking slow, not because they don't end up really strong. The balance could easily be fixed by giving some new skills to humans and letting new zombies start with Shambling Gait, but of course, that would be too fucking simple.

I hope pulin square in west becktown is a managed RP, the wiki says yes but i'm not so sure. There are 33 other zombies waiting here.

yeah human skills are limited i like how hand to hand skills can be beefed up but other than that and the few medical skills it seems like there could be more added. realistically the whole ciager mall thing should have played out longer with as many survivors of differing levels as were there but due to the amount of powered up zombies like you mentioned when they level up and get all the skills one powereful zombie can do serious damage.

add 3 or 5 to that and you can tear down buildings pretty quickly. maybe they could add explosives to the mix or give the scientists more skills. id been wondering if they couldnt bring in scientists who could turn people into zombies ( like a herbet west kinda thing) even though i know itd only make zombies even stronger itd be a cool adition.

or allow humans to gain ap a bit faster. maybe instead of 2 per hour 3 per hour.

the attwell building in south becktown is a nt building but it is down i can tell you that much and theres 1 maybe 2 zombies in it. ill try and build it up sometime tomorrow since i need to build up ap. im not sure what level the zombies are at in it so it may take longer. and i still need to find a generator and fuel.

Anything that does damage to multiple enemies is officially a Bad Thing in the eyes of most UD players.
or allow humans to gain ap a bit faster. maybe instead of 2 per hour 3 per hour.
That wouldn't help that much. It would get newbies off the ground faster, but in fights between experienced humans and experienced zombies, the balance of power would still lean towards the zombies. Besides that, making it easier to start as a human would only exacerbate the numbers difference between the two groups.

EDIT: Crap, I mixed up AP with EXP. The problem with that idea is that it wouldn't be an even thing. One zombie Vs one human would mean the human gets 72 AP and the zombie gets 48. Turn that into 50 zombies versus 50 humans, and it's 3600 Vs 2400 - a 1200 AP difference every day.

I'm holed up in a police department now, towards the middle of the city. If anyone wants to join me, feel free to. :)

I also picked up a radio, which raises the question of whether or not we want to try and set up a radio channel eventually. All we'd need is a frequency and we'd be set.

The centre of the city is Ridleybank, ancestral homeland of the Zombie. It's one of the least-safe places to be. Greater Ridleybank - the suburbs surrounding the main suburb itself - are also not the greatest places to sleep.

Having a radio is very handy, but I prefer to set it to the frequency of the biggest group in the area.

On my shambling trip to our new location, I managed to find an RP and used the Rev Request tool and was revivified within a couple hours. Once I gain enough AP, I'll stand up and start the trek as a human.
Use the revive request tool.

And stop saying where you are!
I'm dead, what does it matter. Besides, we have to discuss stuff somewhere, 15 minutes a night isn't enough.
I signed up, making my way towards the mall...but according to the WiKi, it seems the mall has fallen?
yeah ciager fell on firday i think. sucks too because for the weeks id been in that one area i had no idea it was so close. just like i just found out i could have been getting 4xp for every zombie i scan with that extraction dealy. heres to hopin ill be able to successfuly get that nt branch up and running.waiting for ap to build up is the worst part of it all.

Oops - forgot what "city" means in this context. I meant suburb - I made it to our new headquarters, where things look pretty calm right now. Admittedly, I didn't have much AP to scout around by the time I got there, but I think we're safe for now. :)

Whew. Made it inside with one AP to spare.

Mak, I think there were a couple of buildings a bit to the NW that were only VS. I think one was a bank.

No worries. I retreated to a different suburb. I'm not far away from you guys though.

If anyone can revive, I'm stuck at Downton square and will be for another 12 hours, at least. It would be much appreciated.

ZKing is not a new thing. It generally happens for one of three reasons:

1. A hostile zombie wants to fuck up a revive queue during an attack.
2. A bored feral is getting pissed off at the lack of humans outside and attacks another zombie for EXP
3. A recently killed human gets revenge on his killer/desperately attempts to fend off a siege.

Hey guys: north 3, west 3 of the nw corner of the new hq is a congregation of zombies. Nothing major but in a few block radius there are probably 10 over all. I'm currently at the ATM ;)
