it might look like he actually topped drunkenpollock. i am seeing about 10+ ppl getting scammed and more comming. mostly the new ppl with low or no trade ratings.
 
why some1 (a scammer) would use the same user name in all the forums is beyond me. I wonder if he also scammed ppl in the other threads as well.
 
He contacted me regarding something I had for trade last month.. I deleted the PMs but it could have been one of the SMT games. I'm not sure what happened, but I think I moved on after not hearing from him for a few days. But he never mentioned his location which is important considering the majority of users here are in the U.S.

I'm sad to see this happen again in such a small timeframe, but I hope this doesn't ruin trading for everyone on here because it's a great community and I've worked with some excellent people over the past two months.
 
Wow, another scammer within a short time frame from the last scammer. Seems like CAG is victim of it's own success. These scammers have low feedback too. :bomb:

Yea I know how she feels. I was sitting there the whole time it was going on, trying in every way I could think of to get off of the phone. I finally did and the guy hung up but the situation was still going on from what I could tell. I honestly took an hour lunch that day just to clear my head. Not fun, not fun at all.

Maybe we can correct this and make things better just by talking to him. He was my first trade and its a shame that there is no trust anymore. Freaking Gay.

Upon request I will find his number. This is not fair that he cheats others who bought there games with there hard earned money.

I talked to Cheapfitz's brother and he gave me Cheapfitz's cell number. I checked it out and the voice mailbox says Evan which is Mr. Fitzpatrick's first name (supposedly). His email contains both his first and last name.

Now I see why you like to get all of that information in a trade. I don't know if I've spoken to anyone quite so organized when it comes to trading.

Good luck with the call. To be honest, the more I've thought about it the more I think that the guy is more unorganized than trying to scam. It'll be good to give him a voice reminder.

Yeah dude but I am not that organized but I do keep a list of messages of which I can refer to if anything goes bad. I only delete if Iam fully done with the trade. Again, this is not fair and he must be notified. I think it is due to the actual shipping itself b/c

USA Customs and Canada Customs b/c I called USPS and they said that the customs are being a bitch

But then again its been more then 2 months so I wonder.


Anyway he needs to know that this will not be tolerated (at least by me).

okay, listen. I am sick of this bullshit. I have sent out multiple packages, without receiving my ends. I have people messaging me all the time, asking if i have received. And no, i have not. I sent out 200 bucks to 1 guy, to resolve a trade issue. I have lost more fucking shit on this fucking site. I am getting banned now, and people threatining me? i don't fucking think so. Jack-Hunter got my fucking 107 bucks, the MO was cashed. Once i found that out, i threw out the fucking receipt. XUGRAD's moveis were sent out, a cpl weeks ago. i owed him Enemy of the State and Enchanted blu ray. Lauming's CoD4 was sent out the middle of last week, even tho i didn't get DMC4. I was sick of ppl questining me, so i send before i received in good fait. Now i have NOTHING at all. And i am getting people say they don't fucking receive. This is bullshit. I plan on moving forward with this. I know i sent out my ends. Is cheapfitz serious? lol. Yeah, get lawyers on people? He has multiple people complaining and him and his imaginary lawyers can't do crap. He's scared right now and probably thinking of something to do. After a few phone calls, a crap load of pms, and cops on his front door I'm pretty sure he's gonna crack under the pressure and face the consequences.

If you were on top of your trades, you should be able to put that together quickly. If not, then that's telling right there.

Although the best part is that he's actually trying to defend himself. The best way would have been to pull a DP and vanish - these PMs are likely going to piss him off to the point where he makes a major blunder.

I just called Cheapfitz and I did talk to him. He says he has my games, and I sincerely believe him. I think it is all just an unorganized mess. I blame the US and Canadian Customs. Anyway it is all sorted out, and he did ship my games. I will patiently wait until I recieve them, and if I don't he will be contacted and questioned. As far as I know, he seems to have the most issues. We should give him some time, and people who already shipped, I highly suggest you contact him, and talk or IM to him personally instead of sending PMs.

It will all be sorted, and he even says he is being scammed himself. Just be patient, and you'll probably get them soon.

Ohh as a side note, all of this will change in the next month or two if I don't get my games. I will then get serious, but for now I am content.

No offense, friend, but you sound a little naive. I mean, all of these people on here are having issues with him. Then, in his PMs to shrike, basically every other word is fuck. Sounds to me like a child who thought he could pull off a wholesale scam and screwed up. It will all be sorted out? He's being scammed? Sounds like the kind of nonsense that a scammer would say to get people off his back.
 
sometimes sending thru canada takes forever. i once bought a bulk amount of shoelaces from a seller on ebay, and it took over a month to arrive. it IS possible that everything could just be taking longer than everyone expected...

Have you ever though about the fact that maybe this seller shipped very late? I understand how you guys are trying to find some sort of reason but for someone who is "innocent" he sure as heck is hostile and has absolutely no evidence of the games being shipped

Oh yea, its definatly possible, no doubt. But think of this. How probable is it that multiple peoples trades are taking this long? And consider that this is happening on both ends. Seems a little far out there to me. But of course, I never really suspected anything was wrong until I saw this thread. To me, he seemed like a genuine guy. But then again... it is the internet...
 
I'm curious. He said he sent out a money order (and never got his games in return), and also said he had looked it up and shown it as cashed. Can that person speak up? Just looked up, the name is Jack-Hunter
 
Haha man he wanted to work something out with me about a month ago, PMed back and forth, once I found out he was in Canada, I backed out. He threatened to report me, etc etc and I told him to go for it. Good thing I did, I would've been out of a Folklore for a "sealed" Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

it was sent out a few days after the auction ended, i had checked the label. i had the same issue when i bought an atari on ebay prior to that.
i suggest having the mod PM fitz's phone number to everyone claiming to be scammed and clear the air over the phone, leaving nothing to speculation.
 
stewie75 speaks the truth. Customs can keep slow things substantially. I've had packages take 6 weeks to arrive. I have found that things typically get from Canada to the US faster than vice-versa, though.

I'm going to fall back on the unorganized explanation for now.

word- i'm not saying he did or didn't scam anyone, i'd certainly be screaming to high hell if i was waiting a month on my games. Especially after the DP fiasco.

You have to figure it would work both ways since the two packages take the same route, just going in opposite directions, TO and FROM. While it is fishy, it's not impossible that the mail is just outrageously slow.
 
perhaps try contacting the people he traded with previously, and see how quickly everything of theirs came in. if they got theirs in a week, and he claims to have sent both your package and theirs in the same form of delivery, i'd be more inclined to believe a scam was present.

Trade started in Febuary and I just recently got paid.

To tell you all the truth I was going to stop trading all together because two of my trades early on looked like it was going south.

Seriously tho, why would ppl not keep a receipt of items they send out is beyond me.

I believe it is good idea to set up a list of what has been lost (like the one in Drunkenpollock thread). Then we'll see what exactly is going on. It seems to me that he tried to obtain multiple copies of certain game and tried to trade w/o having anything.

As for his explanation, he might just be trying to buy more time (maybe to ship things out), so if some of you start getting the items, check out the ship date on it. I would not be surprised if it was shipped these few days.

Alright man I talked to him, and he says the money order he sent out was cashed but the guy who got is saying it isn't, and yes US customs are stupid right now, and it takes forever for a small package to reach its destination. I mean I don't think he would do all this because he SOUNDED genuine, but I will wait until I get my games to confirm anything.
