Sent your stuff out 3-31 ok. If he sent media mail it can take 2-9 days it hasn't been that long even. Sometimes media mail is even slower, and can take a week or two. I figured you guys sent your stuff out months ago. I'm not saying he did't scam people or taking up for him,but it really needs more time than that.

If you give up then the scammers have won.

Although I have been a CAG member for 18 months I just started trading in March and this has been one of the greatest communities to buy, sell and trade video games, guides and any other special things us gamers might be interested in. Negative Zero gave me a shot with my first trade of game guides and because of that I was able to sell a bunch of my old games and purchase a X360...this place is made up of almost all good, fair and honest people and I feel real shitty for you guys that got scammed....but don't give in to the bastards!

Yeah, I know. I would have still expected to receive it sometime later if I had never seen this thread. I just am really not getting my hopes up after seeing 19 other people reporting scams.
 
well he told me he was shipping my ps3 ups ground after he recieved and he should of recieved no later than tuesday. how long does ground usually take?

ohh and i asked him why he was selling the ps3 and this is the response i got

dont have time for it already have a 360 and had a wii and never have time to play them

Yeah it is still really questionable. I'm pretty sure he in fact scammed people since it is so many people.
 
As a word of caution, I normally don't look solely at the iTrader. The guy has 16+, but he barely has any posts at all. He has like 100 posts spread over like 3 years. I've only joined since September and have 1000+. I don't think banning this guy will do much good, he's barely active. Moreover, I know I don't know much about the trades, but I don'tt see how you would send a big bundle FIRST. My rule of thumb is, if it's more expensive than a game, then you work out a partial trade, payment first, or no deal, regardless of iTrader unless person is like 100+.

Although I sympathize for those in this situation, as I look over the list, most could easily be avoided. For example, Halo 3 with GBA, etc.. for CoD4 and $75. I don't see why this person would send everything first. This person could have lost less if they did partial trade first.
 
sent my part of trade out on 3/25, he claimed he shipped on the 30th...so...today is my ninth day, and no package....

Most at CAG with perfect feedback want to keep it perfect, that's why we didn't expect anything like this (like for me).

Well, I will not deny I backed out of a few trades where I'd have to ship first and it costing over $75 not using Paypal (too big of a risk). I try doing small trades as often as possible.

It can take extremely long. Media mail isn't worth useing. I had a game take 2 weeks to get to me. I've heard sometimes it was almost a month.

If someone post about it be a really long time. I could say what I just though of for sure. Maybe he remembered everything he was going to get waited on it to come, and then moved, and did't notify the post office or anything. Then everything he stole could have been in the moving van. This just came to my mind after mana said the people that sent there stuff to him might be on the van.

According to the USPS, a first class letter should have ONLY taken 3 days, and it is 8 days.
 
with 20 trades would you be able to keep up with the dc numbers? I wouldn't not with packing too. They all may have been packed up???

Heres whats bugging me.

From what I have gathered he gave me his current address. his right name. said he sent out media. Sent it media becuase he put the oblivion guide in with it. The weights he said would be around right. Media can take a month. I was hoping to find some one that had started a trade over a month ago. That would help to determine IF he is being truthfull in that area. He hasn't logged on maybe cause of the move. Still unpacking setting up. Has anyones trade been over a month. Im only about two/three weeks.
 
I am assuming his address is in Arizona, correct? If he indeed gave you his real address, just look up the street and place, and see if any of his neighbors come up. Then, call them and see if they know him, then ask for his number because of (make up bullshit)
 
This probably means absolutely nothing but there is a George Lane in Sierra Vista. There was mention of a Rebecca Lane before in this thread. This guy is about 13 minutes (according to google maps) away from 218 Stardust. Just throwing stuff out there.
 
it would be werid. With all of these packages showing up around the same time. It seems most of our trades are around 3-25. The postal workers would have thought something was up going to the same addy everyday.

He told me they couldn't give him a tracking number when sending to Canada. Can someone confirm BS on that?

Really I doubt it. Im not in denial. I understand that we are probably will not get anything back.
Im not out that much so I can walk away and have no regrets. Others though have a lot invested in this trade.

I just don't want to lead this guy to the hanging noose and then people start getting packages in the mail.




Hey mods. I know this would suck for people with higher feedback. But with trades maybe we should do ship at the same time rule. You have to use a dc number and both parties agreeing to do a trade would have to prove dc number same or next day of trade. That way if you do have a scammer they are only going to get one or two before it would start showing up. you don't get the dc number maybe you can email a mod and they can look into and put the trade caution under the others name. Maybe three strike rule. You don't give the dc number next day strike one. Three strikes your out. Maybe have a special forum just for trades. You get three strikes you will not be able to enter the trade forum.

Tracking requires Priority Mail International at about $20 to ship to Canada. You can get the customs form number and sometimes track the package with that.

Media mail will NOT take a month. I have received at least 10 packages via media mail in the last month. It has not taken longer than 10 days to get a package. I've shipped two packages via media to a CAG in Florida and he had them in four days (I'm in Utah). The fact is, media will not take a month unless you're shipping to Alaska.

He told me his shipped out using first-class(didn't give me D/C). Should take 3 days but now its been 9 business days. Yes he's a scammer.

I pm'd him after it was 5 days and he answered!! I kept asking questions and then he said I was getting annoying. Then he said, "Go fuck yourself."

So yeah what a B****

Completely agree, one or two people not getting the promised stuff by now okay that could slide, 20 and counting? Bah even shipping media mail someone out of the bunch would have the stuff by now considering it is going all over the country. Factor in the huge trade amounts and this seems like a pretty clear scam . I wish everyone luck
 
Why does everyone still have hope? I hate to say it, but you were scammed. You most likely won't get anything in return. Does anyone honestly believe this guy has 4 copies of Bully and so much cash to burn in the middle of a move?

I was traded him my battlefield bad company beta code for a 1600 Microsoft point code. Gave him mine, but he kept delaying it saying he was moving and such. I never got the ms points. :(

You can get dc,but it is that where you have to sign for it which is 2 something. Mail like that should't have took long at all. What did he say when someone asked about the dc of a item?

the customs number on a FC package will bare minimum provide proof of mailing, if you enter the number on the USPS site it will show "Mailed at such and such PO". If the package is big enough (a couple games in a box) first class mail will be trackable one it enters Canada as it gets converted into a "Expedited Parcel". It is trackable via the customs number. Priority mail and up is always trackable once it makes it into Canada as it is converted to Xpresspost, it can be tracked with the customs number on the CP website.

I'm with naes on this. if you're still holding out hope that he's just a bit busy, I think you're either naive or delusional. It's not just one person that has a late shipment, it's almost 20 people. not to mention that he's already claimed that many packages were mailed. 15-20 packages dont' just get lost in the mail or severly delayed all coming from the same sender.
You guys really need to stop hoping he's gonna come through and focus on calling the proper authorities and annoying them until they guarantee they are on the case and they won't rest until this asshole is taken care of.
I feel for all of you, I've been scammed out of items and money before. I still have a claim in paypal from like 5 years ago that hasn't been resolved yet from getting scammed. It sucks to know that you're stuff is probably gone, but you gotta stop giving this dude the benefit of the doubt and kick this son of a bitch's door down.
Plus who was it that talked to the girl, was that Drag? What was it she said to you when you threatened legal action? Something like 'Go ahead, I dont' care?' or something along those lines?
Those two people worked together in this... who knows, maybe they're a couple or something. But chances are they are in on it together and dont' give a damn and think they'll get away with no problems... But dont' let them.
Keep calling the police, call the post offices, go higher up the chain if you have to. This is big time theft and mail fraud and if you go high enough up the chain of command somebody is gonna see how bad this shit is and go after them hardcore. Do what you gotta do, fight the fight and dont' let this bastard win.

And Mana Knight, I totally want to buy the PS2 games you sent him if and when you get them back. Seriously... i call dibbs when you retrieve them.

Unless he shows up on another site and starts scamming again, there's really not much else you guys can do (assuming you filled out all the paperwork).

I'd recommend what somebody earlier mentioned: use his old address (or addresses) and contact a neighbor or two. At the least, they won't know anything about the person. But they may have moving information, or at least a real name and number.

My DC didn't work. First he said that it normally takes a couple days, blah, blah, BS. Then he finally says he must of typed it wrong and that his girlfriend must of threw away the DC slip by an accident cleaning the house. Then he says that I better not try and screw him? fucker
