Vizio and their BS guarantee
Try HDMI and tell me what you get. It seems like, however, the lines are flaw with the Vizio TV because I also had them on the Wii with component cables. From a distance however they become barely noticeable, and if they bother you a ton you can just go VGA... or HDMI?

Let me know what your going to do with the warranty or PM me. I am really interested because It's hard to find someone, especially on CAG, that has interest in the same TV. I can say the clarity/colors and the motion blur from LCD makes plasma the real keeper.

At Wal-Mart we also sell Vizio 3.5-4:1 over other brands. If Sony's were the same price they wouldn't have any competition but you get what you pay for.
Hey man, I couldn't find the HDMI cable that came with my 360 so I bought one for $19.99 by GE just now. Picture is PERFECT. No lines like with component.

I actually was VGA with my PC's LCD screen until yesterday. It was good, but HDMI is definitely the way to go. One cable for video and sound = win.

I've had a 360 since launch hence no HDMI. Either I'm going to have to suck it up or pay out for one of those expensive ass HDMI adaptors for the 360. Thanks for letting me know regardless cause I know HDMI doesnt give out the issues that component does which is what I need to know.

I just gota give their warranty department a call and buy the extended warranty for the plasma at $120 because I'm sure that would be in house service.
Samsung has manufactured all Sony's LCD panels for the past 2 years. All of them. Samsung = Sony
Here is the funny thing though. Sony and Samsung side by side comparison. Picture Quality = Sony > Samsung.

Some people say that, but usually they see perceived higher contrast on the Sony as Sony usually has a black bezel while the Samsungs typically use grey.

This it for the Sony > Samsung people.
What about Emerson though, since I was looking at a 19-25" range tv and I've had nothing but good luck with Emerson products in the past. .
I should have replied to this sooner but I'm gonna reply now.

Emerson is a pretty damn good brand considering their price. I've had a Emerson tube TV for over 5 years and no problems. Also DVD players, VCRs no real issues. I know other people with Emerson's and have never had any issues either. LCD/Plasma TVs I have no idea, but I'm sure you could get 5+ years out of it but probably even more.

I went with Vizio due to lack of complaints (well there are some complaints in regards to total picture quality in the long run, and not enough menu options) compared to some of the big brands. Everyone has bad luck and it seems like the OP got shafted with a bad TV atleast with Pixels. Hopefully in the long run it doesn't get worst. $500 was my limit on a 32' TV and I'm hoping it lasts me atleast five years, and that's where the Vizio came in. I'm sure in five years there will be some sort of new way of making TVs and higher outputs by then I'll probably want another TV.

I was happy with the PQ of my Vizio LCD while it worked, but the backlight went out in a little over one year. I hope you guys have better luck with them than I did.

I was actually looking at an Emerson flat screen SDtv for a while, which was/is only about $150 or so @ WalMart, but as of now I don't really NEED a TV. I'm just kind of doing some prelim pricing of them, but if I can find a good enough deal I'll buy it.

About Vizio funny I was at Walmart the other month I saw 2 returns for a 32 inch in one day literally. They had 3 rows of HDTV's while other SDTV's while barely noticeably in the back. The bottom row was filled with display units, returns that had the HDTV's only with a 20% tag off some of these don't even come with the remote. But that's walmart people either don't like the quality or something wrong happened.

Dead pixels are one of the few reasons why I don't like LCD TVs (slow response time - motion blur and low contrast ratio are the other reasons). I am pretty set on buying a plasma TV now that Vizio has introduced a smaller 32" plasma TV.

I am not saying I will buy this model unless I see some favorable reviews on CNET or from Consumer's Reports (anybody see any quality reviews for the VP322 32" Vizio plasma TV yet?).

Hopefully other manufactures will start making smaller size plasmas!
