Trying to write a college algebra exam that your average "I don't give a flying fuck" freshman or sophomore could pass is a pain.

And by "average," I mean "didn't care about math in high school, and probably hasn't seen a variable or function for 3 years" kind of average.

You guys must have the lamest 4th of July ever.
I cant imagine we're missing much. The sanctioned firework shows arent that great to begin with. I can only imagine what it would be like with every redneck and their mom setting off roman candles and shit.

I'm taking fucking AP Calculus BC right now though, so I obviously know my shit. Logic apparently makes to sense to the school district though.
Since when?!
Well, not illegal illegal, but most are by permit only. And those arent easy to come by I'd imagine.

By the way, I'm watching Torchwood episode 3. Sometimes Gwen is down right gorgeous and other times she's tough to look at (big gap in those teeth). Crazy.

Ah, yes, the good ol' days of high school math "standards"... which often times send the students to college woefully unprepared for the tortures of learning a chapter in 2 weeks rather than a month and a half, and doesn't involve hours of petty, repetitive in class practice in lieu of 2-3 hours of independent homework a week. :bomb:

The AP calc tests aren't too bad, although I took the AB (and got a 5!) back in high school, so I can't comment on the BC.
I said something about her nose?
I coulda sworn it was you who said they hated it...
I know someone in the OTT did. :whistle2:k

That can't be right. It was only 5 years ago when me and my friends would cross the border and buy fireworks at walmart.

I don't think it was me...

Although, I've often found myself say things that I later not only forget, but don't agree with.

I'd nail her.

My BC class is pretty intense. We do 1 (sometimes 2) lessons a day, 1 (again, sometimes 2) homework assignment that night, and move on. We also have multiple quizzes a week and long, 2 part tests.

I'm beginning to think my (awesome) teacher is a bit of a sadist.
Last week, we had 3 quizzes and part one of a test, with part two coming up on Monday, along with another few quizzes and another test later in the week.

Those are the signs of a good calc teacher, and one who is preparing you for intensive work in your future.

Try that. Soon.
Wow, 5.6%. Thats strong for your average beer.

EDIT: I just noticed thats made by Lions Brewery in Wilkes Barre, who also makes Lionshead Beer .. which is pure shite. And I know this cause it was the staple of my drinking diet when I went to school in Bloomsburg. I certainly hope this brewery puts more care and attention into the beer you're suggesting.

If you're going into a math field :)

I went from taking Calc in HS to taking Algebra 1 in college. Single easiest class I ever took here.

Or physics, or chemistry, or engineering, or perhaps even computer science. I know that the physics program here requires 3 semesters of calc and 1 of differential equations; not sure about the other fields.

And seriously, you took calc AND THEN algebra? Why didn't you just take the AP test for college credit and skip the math requirements all together?

God damnit, fell asleep again. :(
This kid I know sent me this on Myspace, is he gay?
Body: Looking for answers? Well so am I. I'm in a stage in my walk with Christ, were I feel an overwhelming call to discipleship/partnership with more individuals. So right now I'm looking for someone who's serious about getting to know Jesus, and really wants to devote some solid time to them. To take part in some Christ centered teaching, and other tasks.

I'm not looking to teach anyone, just to learn and grow with someone in a mutual way. For anybody has things that I myself can offer, and I'd love to learn more about these things.

So if your interested in meeting a few days a week , hanging out, and submerging yourself in the Word Of God . Let me know

Call me at 739-xxxx , or send me a private email if your not sure at xxxxxt@gmxxx ;

Peace&Grace

What a coincidence. The number by where I live is 739 as well.

What the fuck did you do, Strell? You got CoffeeEdge to go off the deep end again.

Edit: Wow. He came back an hour after writing the first three lines to write the last part.

Because the Calc AP test is one of the most difficult AP tests, and we had a class specifically for it (Honors Math or something like that), and I was not in it. And on top of that, you needed to score at least a 4 on it to get credit from my university. Similarly, I took AP Chem and only got a 3 on it and still had to take a science class here. Because of my major (film), I didn't need to take anything more difficult.

Rate beer hasn't updated the site to reflect that Moerlein's IP was bought and brought back to Cincinnati in the past 2-3 years.

http://www.christianmoerlein.com/

Moerlein was great for many years, and became terrible in the late 80's/early 90's, and is just this year really experiencing a renaissance. I bet if I looked at ownership, you'd find that Lion bought the IP/brewing rights in the late 80's.

They aren't *perfect* beers (they have another new style, OTR Pale Ale, which is damned good, but underhopped and somewhat malty compared to what one thinks of a "pale ale," and this is all much to the consternation of beer nerds. This isn't bad beer, I assure you.
What?
He wants to spend a few nights of the week with me. :[

I guess I shouldve said hitting on me, but he wants to learn and grow together with me mutually. :[

We need to get a pool going on how long it takes Coffee Edge to get banned.

I like how he thought I was quoting him because I agreed with him, and not because I didn't want him to be able to delete/edit his post.
