What kind of game is Yakuza 3?

That's a pretty decent haul from uncle hank, dude! Your nephew is lucky!
It's a story driven beat em up in an open world with light RPG elements. I honestly really love the series. Bought all of them on release day actually...

And JSP is talking about RDRedemption.
Yeah, he's lucky. I let him play all of my shit too. Easy babysitting. He mashed through Shank in one sitting last time he was here. I've only played the first level. lol
Red Dead Redemption, hankle.
All I've seen of RDR was the 10 minutes I watched my friend play it. Might pick it up sometime for cheap.

Aww, sold out of Yakuza 3? I wanted it too.

Speaking of RDR I bought mine on BF but am having trouble getting into it. I'm kind of bored actually....does it get exciting at any point?

The beginning is sort of slow with all the FOLLOW BONNIE AT LOW SPEEDS ACROSS THE MAP missions, I thought it picked up a lot more when you start getting missions from Irish/the old guy/the salesman guy and get to actually do stuff.

Then again, I thought it got kind of slow again in Mexico because the characters aren't as fun and the story just stalls until the very end.

I got Rune Factory 3 to play on my flights tomorrow, I've never played any of the other games in the series, but I liked Harvest Moon when I was a kid and I enjoy fantasy/rpgs so I have a feeling I'll enjoy it.

Did you get past all the stupid ranching shit?

I JUST saw Scooter (from the Tester) walk past my car, I tried to say "waddup" but he had his headphones on. He walks home at night in LA - ballsy. I was going to let him know that me and Cheska are BFFL's

are there any other games out there like Wario Ware DIY that teach programming basics? looking for some easy to use tools for some workshops I'll be doing next year.

I got past the part where
She gets kidnapped and I save her
I think I haven't played it since then.

There is an RPG Maker for the PC, I've never used it though. You could also consider exploring game Moding, like for Neverwinter Nights or Dragon Age, though again I haven't used them so I don't know how close it would be to "Programming," I'm sure they probably let you use simple scripts though.

RPG Maker.

Agreed, I just got out of there and I hope it gets better again. It was pretty, but the characters sucked, story went nowhere until the end of the segment, and there were so many cliffs and annoying geography everywhere that I just started fast-traveling to get to missions.
Yeah whoknows, you're past most of the bullshit. That's her last mission, she randomly disappears.
She doesn't show up in the game again?

I'm on mission fortysomething of fifty-seven and she hasn't been mentioned since that mission.

Just wait til the last few... ugh.

I thought the ending was great though.

Yeah, I was thinking RPG maker, but Im looking for stuff that people who know no shit about programming or maybe even computers.

So far DIY does it best. Only other thing I can think of that's close is Little Big Planet.
Should I not finish the game then? If it's not worth it I'd rather just sell it or whatever.
It plays differently than GTA4, but it's still a Rockstar story. So if you hate GTA4, I'm not sure why you even bothered to buy RDR. :p

For you, the best bet would be to sell it, most likely. I like Rockstar games, liked GTA4 enough to finish it twice (ps3 and 360), and had no interest in RDR since I don't like the wild west. Yet, I ended up having a lot of fun with it. So if you're the opposite, it probably won't win you over.

Yeah, I had so much fun just riding around and doing every side-mission/stranger encounter that popped up. Hunting is really fun too, and I hate real-life hunting.
I still don't know if you're a boy or a girl and I hate it.
I'll find out when I'm talking to icebeast while playing blazblue ... then never tell you.

Why?

Probably brought on by years of HEY MAN WANNA SEE THIS DEER I SHOT IN THE FACE CUT IN HALF AND THEN STUCK MY DICK IN WHILE SPITTIN TOBACCO AT MY SISTER in Rural PA.
RDR is way better than GTAIV.
I actually liked GTAIV better even though I pretty much hate every other GTA game. I enjoyed RDR but never got sucked into it as much as GTAIV. Probably because I always found riding horses to be tedious, whereas I had a lot of fun spawning fast cars in GTA to drive around in.

The story and main character are much better in RDR though.
hunting was my fave thing in RDR honestly, and as weird as it sounds, also the flower picking
I'm not surprised you like picking daisies like a woman.

See the thing is you're wrong, GTAIV was horrible and the cars were bullshit and the city was full of dull.

Same here actually. I can't stand hunting in real life, but it was a fun challenge in the game. And I would always stop to pick the flowers when I saw them for some reason, even though I didn't care about the quest or whatever it was that related to the flowers.
See the thing is you're wrong, GTAIV was horrible and the cars were bullshit and the city was full of dull.
I thought that for a while, but it eventually grew on me for some reason. I managed to perfect the driving in the game in the 50+ hours I spent, so I would get some of the fastest cars and just have fun speeding through traffic, around cuves, etc. And the city was full of interesting stuff if you specifically look for it. The random encounters especially had some interesting characters.

Edit: Now that I think about it, GTAIV was kind of my "chill" game. I would just sit back on the couch, drive around in the game while listening to the in-game radio and enjoying the scenery. I don't know why I did this because I almost never enjoy doing that in games.
I can almost taste B+ on SSF4. Not that it matters or anything :whistle2:#
Really? When I taste SSFIV, I usually rank it as an F.
