Haven't gotten together with the family yet, but I won't get anything gaming-related there anyway. A friend did get me a SF4 6-button pad, and using a few BB gift cards I had I bought myself those Turtle Beach X41 headphones, which are really nice other than the occasional *POP*ping noise I get...which is infrequent but really jarring. If it keeps up I may return them.

My fiance liked his present, but was a jerk about opening it. I gave it to him before our work shift Christmas Eve. He saw it was a gift card tin and snuck it to work so he could peek at where the gift card was for. Trick is, the tin was a ruse- I got him a First Class Combant's Cross medal from World War 2 Germany (it's dated 1939). He was too excited to pretend he hadn't looked at that point, so he just found me and thanked me for it. (Then I hit him for peeking.)

Good year. I didn't spend as much as last year (I think). Last year was a little easier though because I needed new jiu jitsu, judo and wrestling gear where this year I already had everything.

Between me, my wife and my daughter, we got about $800 in Christmas money, which we used to buy all of our Christmas gifts for each other, and on a birthday dinner for me (12/21). I got a set of collapsible metal sawhorses, some pegboard and hooks to finish up my tool room, some cologne (Polo Black), some cappucino mixes, two games from the Gamefly sale, a speed load drill and driver set, and some clothes from Kohl's. Nothing spectacular, but things I needed and that are functionally useful.

Christmas is all about the kids. All I physically got was a pair of slippers and a Wii wireless sensor bar.
We did get $200 in restaurant gift cards from the in-laws to go out later which will be nice. Along with $100 gift cards for toys r us (gone. kids toys). And $100 for Wally Mart gift cards. $50 of which we already used for groceries.
