when the next year version comes out? Keep them just to have all the years? Take the crappy trade in hit for them in order to get something off the next version, give them away or what?

I personally don't care for stats...more for graphics and new features and less bugs.

The only real sports game I own is MVP Baseball 05. Whenever someone releases a baseball game that is better, I will get rid of it, but until then, I shall hold onto it.

Technically, none of the above, but I chose trade them in after the new version comes out. I usually trade them in towards the end of the sports season, getting a good amount of $$ that I can use for something else.

e) Bundle them with a system you're trying to move, because they're pretty worthless otherwise, especially if you don't like sports games to begin with. ;D

I hardly ever buy sports titles but when I do I just keep them. No point in taking pennies on the dollar for them in trade.
No "Sell them before the next edition is released" option? :whistle2:s
This would be me also. I do keep a few old sports games (NBA Street Vol. 2, High heat MLB 03/04, Madden NFL 2005 CE, MVP Baseball 05, Gran Turismo 3/4, SSX Tricky/3.)

ok because I am about to take them to estarland and get something back towards guitar hero 3. I am about to get rid of College Hoops 2k6, MLB 2k6 and a few other non sports titles because I have NBA 2k7 and MLB 2k7 which look fantastic on the 360.

I trade them in before a new edition comes out. The only yearly game I have kept is NFL 2K5, not because I thought it was better than Madden, but because it was the last of the series.

It depends.

Games like ESPN NFL 2K5, NBA Live (NBA Live fanboy here) & NHL '08 are keepers on my gameshelf.

You just lost all of your credibility, sad man...

BTW I can't fathom getting rid of any of my old sports games, I've spent way too much time with them to get rid of them for a few bucks, unless it's like one of those EB deals when it's like "trade 4, get 20%..."

Though I'm still playing College Hoops and NBA 2K8 religiously, so I'm not going to get rid of them until the next one comes out. And I always get them as soon as they're released.

I keep them, I don't buy sports games every year so I play each game for a few years. Plus they are worthless so it's not worth selling them.

I keep them and, usually, never play them again - if I get the latest version. Some games even see revisit, like Tecmo Bowl and NBA Jam.

The only sports game I buy every year is the NBA 2K series. Buy the game the day it comes out, sell it on ebay a week or so before the new edition comes out.

Games like ISS for N64 are never being sold, Winning Eleven has been dead to me.

I don't like sports games. But if I do happen to buy one, I but the one from 2 years ago. You can usually get it for $3, and chances are, it's probably the same as the newest one, just with a different cover. And then, when I'm done, I keep them.

I am more of a collector and do not trade in any games. Even if I may never play them again, I tend to hold onto them all.

I haven't bought a sports game since the Xbox 1 launch. But I don't trade in games anyway so regardless of the title, when I'm done with it the game gets loaned out to friends that want to play it and then when it makes its way back to me it will probably just end up in a storage tub in the basement.

I buy sports games every other year or 3 years, I stuff the old ones in a drawer and forget about them.

Good question, what should i do with mine, 30 out of my 40 ps2 games are old sports and 15 out of 30 are old sports games, the only sports games i need are MVP Baseball 2005 and ESPN Nfl 2k5 both for xbox, i have the latest rosters for both of them and paid about 3 bucks each. What should i do with my NHL 2002 nba live 06 nba live 2004 mlb inside pitch madden 2005 etc.

Any suggestions, i dont want to chuck them but i doubt id get any money for them, i might just hide them all inside the xbox/ps2 original boxes so they arent eye soars in my collection,

Yeah, this is pretty much me. I dont generally buy a sports game every year so I get about 2 yrs play out of them. But like most games I have, I just keep them. Trading in has been a relatively new experience for me, though, if I were smart, I *would* trade them in early. I know I haven't played my Madden '08 since around Christmas. I could have gotten 20-25 for it then and bought it back if I wanted to play. Oh well, Live and learn.
