What does your username mean?

During a rather... Embarassing stage of my childhood (puberty...) I was the only kid who's voice refused to drop. Add that to the fact that I was one of the only black kids at the school, and... Well, I got teased alot.

Then, at nerd-camp one year, while I was squeaking out my jubilation at pwning everyone in Age of Empires II, some genious decided that I sounded like a mouse. The name stuck. Despite the fact that now I'm 6'4" and in no way resemble a mouse, I keep it for nostalgia's sake.

Whoknows?

Actually I couldn't think of a name, and since I didn't feel like using the name I use for everything else (mmmpepsi), so I had no idea what I wanted it to be and then It said to pick a username so I just put whoknows. I was actually kind of suprised no one else used it.

People used to always mishear my name as "cow" so when it came time to give myself a nickname on ICQ i called myself Milk-Man, not realizing how stupidly common it apparently is. many forums already have a milk-man or milkman so i remembered a comic book i used to read when i was little called Spider-Ham, which was a spoof on spider-man where he was a pig named peter porker so i just changed the Man to Ham.

oops i didnt even realize my nnick is milkyman.. milkham is my xbox live name... milkyman just came from sticking a letter in between milk and man.

Karma Police is a radiohead song...nuff said

karmapolice620 was my old name before cheapy generously changed it because my old girlfriend and I are no longer together so our anniversary was no longer wanted as part of my name.

OK, back in the bad old high school days, I was with some friends watching an adult movie. I believe it was called "The Book". Anyway, a couple of "cavewomen" dressed in animal skins started getting it on, so I commented, "Ah, the Stoneage." That got a lot of laughs. Then, when I was at school in Indiana, I located one of those friends who was at school in Texas. He got me to meet him on a MUD and told me to sign in using a name he'd recognize. 13 odd years later, here we are.

I'm not too keen on the whole porn origin, but that's been my online name of choice almost since I started.

Sorry for quoting myself, somehow (see below).

That girl in your sig is hot. She even has that soft, fluffy, pillow breast look without the weight. I hate boney women.

My name is Sara D.

"Sadie" is a nickname for "Sara"...and "Dee" is just another way to spell the abbreviated "D" at the end.

I've used this nick for the longest time. It's from 2 books by Hermann Hesse - Siddhartha and Steppenwolf. My initial is H, like Hermann Hesse, and some people actually just call me "H."

Okay, okay, enough twisting my arm. I'll tell you.

When I was in my early teens, my best friend and I tried so damn hard to start up a band. Our favorite choice for a name was Imodium, but we figured we most likely wouldn't be able to use it if we actually "made it," but we kept it for a while anyway. When I got my first computer, we were setting up AOL (ah, waaay back in the day) and I, of course, wanted to use Imodium. Taken of course, so the guy what sold us the PC suggested I nix the 'I' and thus, modium was born. I've always loved it, it's unique, very rarely ever taken, fairly easy to remember. On a side note, the band never really took off,. So it goes.

When i was a junior in high school i was going out with the girl who would never let me see her topless, so it became sort of an obession to see them. She got pissed at me all the time about trying to sneak a peak and told me i had a "one track mind"

When i was registering for CAG i couldn't think of anything and my buddy was on the couch talking about that girl that i dated and this story came to mind so i picked that name.

also im pale

therefore my great ninja brethren gave me the nickname AlbinoNinja, and if anyone were to call me otherwise they would make that man commit seppuku

My name crazytalk had come from The Simpsons when the indian guy is talking to Bart
"I bought these fireworks from one of your workers!"
"Thats crazytalk!"

I added the x in but I've had this name for a while as I had a moderately successful bloggish site that my school chums read. Got around 630 hits before shaq-fuing yahoo changed my password.

old programming/scripting name... when I mean old I mean old.. back when DALnet was THE network ;)

say who remembers BBS? heh

I was terribly addicted to JCrew clothes in my foolish youth so when I tried to sign up for my 1st email account I was trying to get jcrew but of course it's taken so I came up w/ this phonetic version. Shallow? Yes =P
My other screen name on other sites I go to is phunkeybuddha. Long story short - nightclub w/ the same name but different spelling where I had my 1st one night stand inspired the name.

Been magikman since the bbs days. Ran a board in college out of my dorm room initially. Did a little couriering back in the days when a 28.8 modem was hot stuff.
Michaeljordan23 (his number), 72 (95-96 bulls, winningest team in nba history), 45 (wore one season) etc. is always taken, so I can't have michael jordan and a meaningful number in the name without constantly having different names. alonzomourning23, out of the probably hundreds of things I've signed up for, has been taken a grand total of once. Alonzo Mourning is a center in the NBA, used to be one of the best in the league, but he has had kidney problems and has gone downhill. 23 Is jordans number, jordan is my favorite player, mourning my second. Though I screwed up on ebay and merged alonzomourning23 into another account, instead of the other way around, so I have alonzomourning45 on ebay.
Mine's very similiar.

Jebus is because back in high school I used to say jebus instead jesus.

Lucifer because ,also back in high school, a lot of people who did'nt know me thought I worshiped satan (mainly because I used to wear an inverted cross necklace).

Mc I threw in there because without it the name would suck.

Reality's Fringe. At the edge of what's real. It's profound, fucking PROFOUND, man!.........

It is a phrase from the Old Country. It means "the cattle are dying."

When I got my first modem in 1981 I chose the handle Nathan Brazil for a fictional character who was literally sysop of the Universe. I used that for over 20 years.

Even though I recall you giving a different origin for your name (if I'm not mistaken, your name is E. Pobirs), I much prefer this version.

Zionoverfire- picked it out as an email address during my big matrix crazy in highschooll. I've haven't anyone else with it yet and it sure beat some name like hotguy^__^76543.

If you recognize the reference you may be an old person.
