Thread name. Also say if you got an autograph by them or not. I've only met 2 famous people in my life so far.

Danny Devito (met)
Travis Barker (met and autographed)

Just met Travis today, got my Give The Drummer Some CD signed. (sweeeet!)

Who have you guys met?

I have taken a leak right next to:

Dan Lauria (The star of Lombardi and the Dad from the Wonder Years).

Henry Kissinger's brother.

I have met and got autographs from Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Sabu (I am not a big wrestling fan, but they were doing signings at my friends retail store).

James Doohan (autograph)
Reggie Miller
Jim Davis
Annie Danielewski (singer - Poe)

Only one I went specifically to meet was James, the rest I met at random in public.

Not many, but the best was Jon Karel (drummer of The Number Twelve Looks Like You, HORSE the Band, Sawtooth Grin, etc.) Our band opened up for The Number Twelve Looks Like You and In the Face of War, and I got to hang out with him for a bit. I mentioned that he's the second happiest drummer I've ever seen, right behind Akira Jimbo.

I've met Wayne Static before I even knew who he was. Heard a few songs off Wisconsin Death Kill like months later and felt like an idiot not caring more about meeting him at the time.

Ran into Weird Al Yankovic at JC Penny's years ago while he was in town for a concert at our local casino. He was buying socks! It was surreal to literally almost walk into him and pause, not knowing what to say.

Met the band Ill Nino (sp?) at a concert, and the opening band Element Eighty.

Met Alient Ant Farm at Warped Tour.

Met Jeremy Bulloch and David Prowse from Star Wars.

And I don't see him as famous because he's been in my life for over 15 years and consider him a father figure, but I'm honored and humbled to say I know Timothy Zahn.

Wayman Tisdale at a store in Indianapolis during his rookie year with the Pacers.
King Kong Bundy at an auto show.
Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett at a Toys R Us in Indy buying stuff for the baby. She was VERY pregnant at the time.
Since I moved to Tampa Bay last summer I have run into Brian Knobbs (Nasty Boys tag team) a couple of times, once at Walgreens the other at Publix. He actually wears Nasty Boy shorts out in public.
A few weeks ago we met Steve Wilkos at Clearwater Beach.

Musicians
Steven Richards of Taproot (hung out with him after a show)
multiple members of (hed) PE (met after concert near their bus)
Derek Miller and Jeff Moreira of Poison the Well (talked with them prior to a show; they are good friends with one of my friends)
Deftones (met after a concert)
Finch (at their show, there was only 10 of us so they hung out with us during sets)
Keepsake (see above)
Elias Soriano of Nonpoint (met him right as they were signed in a parking lot; he gave us a bunch of demos)

Athletes
Shaquille O'Neal (attended basketball camp of his; saw him in restaurant)
Penny Hardaway (saw at a restaurant)
Dennis Scott (meet and greet)
Nick Anderson (meet and greet)
Earthquake (saw in Daytona Beach Mall)
Buster Davis (met in college; came into our EBGames a bunch of times)
Leon Washington (met in college)
Ernie Sims (met in college)
I have met more but I just can't think of them at this point.

oh snap! I was standing like several feet from him and shook his hand during the transformers shoot in DC!

The celebrities I've met are...

Donna D'errico(From Baywatch):
Met her at an auto show when I was about 10. I have the biggest smile on my face in the photo I had taken. I still have it framed.

Roger McQuinn of The Byrds:
Met him at an autograph session my Mom took me to when I was about 12.

Jerry "The King" Lawler(WWE Hall of Fame
Wrestler, WWE Raw Commentator): Got him to sign my "Legends of Wrestling II" instruction manual in the parking lot after an indy Wrestling event. Considering he was charging for autographs during the intermission, giving it to me for free was a classy move.

R-Truth(In WWE)/Ron "The Truth" Killings, Abyss, James Storm, Trinity
(TNA Wrestlers): Got them to autograph a TNA Wrestling hat during the meet-and-greet after TNA's one-year anniversary show. I think this was when Abyss hadn't been officially named in TNA yet.

Perry Saturn
(Former WWF, WCW, & ECW Wrestler): Perhaps it was during his decline into drugs, but he really didn't seem like he gave a shit about doing anything more than what was required to get paid.

"The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels
(Former TNA X-Division & Tag Team Champion Wrestler): The first wrestler I ever met. He made a great first impression. He looked me right in the eyes and shook my hand when I approached him for an autograph. Well-spoken guy who was the polar-opposite of Saturn.

Jerry Lynn
(Former ECW World Champion Wrestler): Without a shadow of a doubt, he's my favorite of the wrestlers I've met. Must have talked to him for a good 5 minutes. Got him to sign the TNA hat I mentioned above and take a picture with me. When my Mom was getting ready to take the picture, Jerry wraps his hands around my neck and starts "strangling" me with a huge smile on his face. I reacted by sticking my tongue out and bugging out my eyes. It's easily my favorite photo. I love it.

Cool!

My sister met President Obama on the campaign trail where I live and got him to sign a picture of her son. My mom got a picture with Joe Biden when he came here too.

A few musicians like Angie Aparo, Nicole Atkins, Cotton Jones.. Gretchen Wilson came through my line at Game Crazy once. Said hey to Amy Grant at the airport (she and Vince Gill aren't really celebrities here, they're everywhere, especially at Nashville Predators game). That's all that I can think of right now.

Bush Jr, Obama, Aaron Lewis, Evan Longoria auto, BJ Upton auto, Carl Crawford auto, Willie Nelson, Stephen King, Jerry Springer, Henry Lee Lucas( yes that Henry Lee Lucas) and my favorie so far Brian Johnson.

I met Cannibal Corpse a while back. They were all pretty nice guys. They all autographed the concert promo mag I have, which is framed and hanging on my wall.
My best friend's dad took a piss next to Lionel Ritchie. True story!
Was he all like, "Hello, is it me you're looking for?"

Bill Walsh - 3 time Super Bowl Championship coach with 49ers. Met him in Dallas airport terminal while we were both waiting for same flight.

Thurman Thomas - Buffalo Bills running back during their 4 trips to super bowl.

Megadeth band members - Dave Mustaine, Marty Friedman, Dave Elleson, and Nick Menza. Met them backstage.

Greg "The Shark" Norman - Met him in Denver hotel gym while working out.

I met UFC fighter Matt Hughes at a National Farm Show last year. He was awesome, signed a photo for me and talked to me for a minute. Other than that just a few members of metal bands. At Ozzfest one year I met the members of Static X and got their autographs (they seemed completely fried at that point lol). At that same Ozzfest I also got an auto from Hatebreed lead singer Jamey Jasta. He was awesome, willing to chat and stuff. At the event I was wearing a Chicago Bears hat (event was outside Chicago) and he commented on it. When Hatebreed performed later he told everyone to "mosh" like there were Packer fans in there haha!

Smashing Pumpkins during the Machina era. Disturbed. Staind before they sucked. Plus a bunch of other slightly more obscure bands after shows.

I've met Utah senator Orrin Hatch many times because I grew up with his grand kids. Also met former U.S. presidential candidate Howard Dean.

When I was in high school, the student teacher for my marketing class knew Charles Barkley, who was playing for the Suns at the time, and got him to come in and talk to our class. It was weird, because we were only allowed to ask him questions about the business side of sports.

I met Bruce Campbell at a book signing, so I have my copy of his first book signed "Stay Groovy!". Great guy, who is very appreciative of his fans.

Not sure if this counts, but I'm 99% sure I was browsing the PC game section of a local GameStop next to Robin Wilson of the Gin Blossoms. I didn't want to bother him and end up drawing too much attention to him, so I didn't say anything.

Edit: Don't know how I forgot this, but I've also met Tom Arnold. His younger brother was my boss at the place I worked at in 2006, and he came in to visit once. My friend and I made sure to walk by his office door in a very obvious manner, and he invited us in to meet Tom. Nice guy. Quick handshake, then back to soul-crushing job...

the most famous... we'll i've met joe rogan, dana white, bruce buffer -- i actually sat in a booth at a club with them after ufc 43 and 44. vanilla ice, the undertaker, Rob van dam, some other wrestlers and ufc fighters, but those are the most famous.

Hmm...

Marina Sirtis (Troi from Star Trek: TNG) when I was a kid at a mini Star Trek Convention.
Norm Coleman (former MN Senator) when he was mayor of St. Paul on a flight from New York to MN.
Rob Zombie and Sheri Moon (his wife) at a DVD signing event for House of 1000 Corpses.
HHH and Chyna at a signing event over 10 years ago.
Stone Cold Steve Austin at a photo session at Mall of America.

Pretty sure that's everyone famous that I've met. By far Rob Zombie was the coolest to meet. At the point we got up to meet him he was almost an hour past the scheduled event with many more in line behind us. I thanked him for staying late and he even joked around about it saying he didn't even realize he was staying late and he'd be packing up as soon as we left (he stayed).

Surprisingly Norm Coleman, at that time, was a pretty interesting guy to talk to as well. He even recognized my dad who he had met at an insurance conference a couple years prior. As mayor of St. Paul meeting new people every day to be able to recognize someone you met years prior is pretty impressive.

Stone Cold was kind of a dick with little patience but even celebrities have bad days so you can always chalk it up to that. HHH and Chyna were kind of interesting to meet mainly because, especially so with Chyna, they seemed a little bit shy.
Was he all like, "Hello, is it me you're looking for?"
I'd really be impressed if he had been dancing on the ceiling.

I met Yao Ming a couple of years back in Houston when I went there to see the Houston Rockets play. I was staying in the same hotel he was living at the time

After years of going to conventions, political meetings, appearances, and the like I'm sure I met a bunch. But only a few stand out off the top of my head.

Chris Farley: I was living in Madison, WI we got wind of a rumor Farley was in a local theater for a local premiere of Black Sheep.

We got over to the theatre, and sat outside to try and catch a glimpse of him. He ended up going outside for a smoke, and was very nice to us.

Teddy Long: I was watching WWF during the Attitude era, and my brother would always try to go to live events when they came to town. I told him if he ever got really good seats, I'd go with. He ended up getting 4th row seats on the floor center ring for a SD show in March, 2000. It was in earshot of the ring for heckling!

Teddy was serving as a ref in those days, and was reffing either a dark match, or a weekend 'scrub' show. The arena was dead quiet when I got up and yelled: 'Hey Teddy, where's Butch Reed?!?'

He looked around, saw I had said it, and gave me a 'Shooter' gesture

So I didn't actually meet him in person, but it stands out in my mind.

Liz Taylor (I was in an elevador with her but I didn't say anything because there were a lot of bodyguards between us)
Tom Araya/ Kerry King of Slayer
Kurt Vonnegut
Henry Rollins
John Malkovich
Dave Attell
Mary Lou Retton

There may be more though. I can't remember.
