What happened to CheapyD's YouTube account?

He finally got around to making a video of him using his stylish Japanese toilet, ball wash and all. The masses where not pleased.

UPDATE: It wasn't Atari, but http://www.atarigames.com who made the claim. This is just a fan site, not the real Atari. I'm sure they do not own the rights to these videos. Just because the videos were watermarked with their URL does not give them a copyright claim.
I don't even want the videos, I just want my account back.

I had three commercials from the 80s on there. It seems http://www.atarigames.com (a fan site) made a false copyright claim and had me suspended with no warning. I've written a few emails to YouTube. I don't know if they will do any good, but I will keep trying to get my shit back.

These are the videos that got me booted:
Atari Kangaroo Dealer Promo Video
K.C . Munchkin on the Odyssey 2
Bally Arcade Commercial

If anyone has any pull with youtube, feel free to try and help me out.

Lame. They should be glad someone is spreading Atari nostalgia. It's worth more than whatever tripe's being released by whoever owns their name this week.
That reeks of bullshit!
And a lot of completely unnecessary work for me to get my shit back.

Wow this is complete crap. I hate it when this happens. What makes it worse is that it wasn't even atari making the claim, but atari toadies....is there a lower life form on this planet? Atari is the gaming world's village bicycle. Cheapy if you get a human contact at youtube, please share the address and I and many others will write letters of support, protest, whatever is needed to prove the point that cheapyd brings traffic to youtube, and was not violating copyright. I don't mean the crazy "I KILZ YoR FAmiLiz!1!11" type of letter either. We'll save those for Circuit City, or another podcast that talks too much smack.
That's a bad idea. Besides, I don't think anyone would even notice.
Those 84 registered users would have no idea what hit them.

I dont think anyone should hack anyone's site. However Cheapyd can move his videos to another hosting company where they would be happy to get the vistors who come to see his videos. Like Revver
we shouldn't advocate hacking people site.
We? You were the one who said to do it.

That sucks Cheapy. Here is my dumb little buddy getting knocked out cold!

I left a post on their general forum. Entitled: Copyright and Cheapy D

This is directed to the powers that be that control the Atarigames.com realm and concerning the vintage Atari games commercials on Cheapy D's account that were pulled from YouTube:

Why wasn't there an attempt to contact the YouTube user directly to have your videos removed before going through YouTube indirectly and having Cheapy D of the popular Cheapass Gamer site and CAGcast podcasts suspended (note: added that last bit to see if it would actually show up in your google alerts)? He would have complied. Now, an account with over 80 original and entertaining videos with over 3000 subscribers is now lost to the gaming community. The owner currently has no wish to rebuild from scratch. Contacting YouTube about copyright infringement should have been and should always be the last resort. In the future, I sincerely hope that you all show some restraint, professional courtesy and do the right thing by making an attempt to settle matters privately before using lawyers (the use of legal documents such as the copyright infringement forms provided by YouTube.)

I've submitted the proper counter-claim to YouTube.
Hopefully my videos will be back less than 2 weeks.
