Aha, i thought i was the only one with a game.com i dont know where it went but the only game i played was doom on it.

There are some systems that you acquire just for your collection. That is to say, you have very little interest in actually playing them, you just want them to own a piece of gaming history.

Two of those systems that I own are the Atari Jaguar and the Virtual Boy. The Atari Jaguar has very few good games. Aliens vs. Predator is the usual go-to selection. Aside from that very few titles for that system hold up. The Virtual Boy was a wonderfully inventive idea. And some of the games for it are actually pretty fun and hold up well. But the $@(~!()&! thing just hurts too much to play for any length of time. I'm not kidding, it will feel like your eyes are on fire if you try to use it for more than 45 minutes. I almost wish Nintendo would come out with a new version of the Virtual Boy that doesn't hurt like hell.

I'll consider hardware that can play games:
32-X
3DO (Panasonic)
Dreamcast
Game Boy
Game Boy Color
Game Boy Advance
Game Boy Player (for GC)
Game Gear
GameCube
Gizmondo
NES
Nintendo 64
Nintendo DS
Nintendo DS lite
N-Gage
N-Gage QD
N-Gage QD (silver ltd. ed.)
PC (quad core)
PlayStation 2 (fat)
PlayStation 3 (60GB, backwards compatible)
Power Base Converter (Genesis's Master System player)
PSP 1000 series
Sega CD series 2
Sega Genesis series 1
Super Game Boy (for SNES)
Super Nintendo
Wii
Xbox
Xbox 360 debug
Xbox 360 elite

My 360 plays 80% of my xbox games, my PS3 is fully backwards compatable, my Wii can obviously play my gamecube games, and I can emulate anything PS2 or below on my PC or PSX/N64 and below on my PSP if I really wanted to. Which I don't, because pirating is wrong and my last gen backlog is still absurd.

My modest collection of working systems:

Nes
Snes
N64
Gamecube
Gameboy
Gameboy Advanced

Sega Genesis (2)--with Sega Master System adaptor
Saturn
Dreamcast (2)

Playstation 2-old school version with the big ass brick hard drive bolted to the back (got rid of PS1 because all my games are backwards compatible)
Xbox

Desktop PC (yes, I use it to play games too)

I'm a generation behind because I'm a cheapass. My next console I'd really like to get is a Wii. I'm up in the air about a Xbox 360 or a PS3 right now...alot of the games I've wanted to play have been ported over to PC. (PC is packed with cheap games too). Honestly, I might get another higher end desktop before I purchase any more consoles though.
