ECW: Extreme Music
The Genbaku Onanies -
Tin Drum Years

Never heard of Genbaku Onanies before today, but gave the album a shot because it was a nickle at a thrift store. Imagine the Ramones in Japanese. I like it, actually.

Been looking for ECW: Extreme Music since 1999. Got it for $0.68 because the cover art was missing. I'LL TAKE THE DEAL, HOWIE!!!

the Beatles - Help Mono LP
George Harrison - The Concert for Bangladesh x3 LP
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours LP
Meatloaf - Bat Out of Hell LP
ZZ Top - Tres Hombres LP

Orbital- Snivilisation

Gave it one listen today. The first half seems kind of plodding without too much going on. Certainly much different than where they were on the previous album. A little too ambient without a strong backing beat in my opinion. The second half is amazing. "Kein Trink Wasser" and "Are We Here?" are masterpieces.

Maybe the first half will grow on me but if not it's still got a second half that resonates with me very strongly.

EDIT: Ambient is probably the wrong word. Just simple without much going on but you can tell that they were going for atmosphere.

Same. I Am quite positive the mail man hates me since GoHastings loves to ship their stuff from different warehouses and also because I've now made 3 different orders with about 20 different things total. So now everyday waiting for the mailman is like getting a new present that I paid for.

Is that for all CDs? If it is, holy shit, I'm putting in a huge order of stuff on my Amazon Wish List that I've been putting off buying.

Part 2 of my order literally just came in...

Combichrist: Everybody Hates You
Queens of the Stone Age: Lullabies to Paralyze
Broken Social Scene: You Forget It In People
Broken Social Scene: Feel Good Lost
Eagles of Death Metal: Death By Sexy

Off all used CD's and today's last day of the sale, so good luck finding some good stuff. Also if interested some of it qualify on music related DVD's as well for the 40% off, but basically everything is $1 shipping.

Oh, damn. Not that I have a problem buying used, but I don't like doing it over the internet. I prefer to see the case and disc if I'm buying used from a store.

So far all the CD's I've bought from GoHastings on their website have turned out fine. Only one that didn't turn out so well is Lullabies to Paralyze with cracks on the case, but CD burnt just fine onto my ITunes. So really just so far for me they turn out in good condition over bad.

I am finding some good, cheap stuff so I'll give it a whirl. Thanks.

EDIT - I just noticed, some of the albums have a couple different options of price, such as a used one being $6.99 and the same one also being $1.88. Does it matter what I choose? Obviously I want the cheaper price so I guess I'll just go with that?

Usually they have the rereleases or the foreign versions of certain albums under one album title. So just main differences, just pay attention to album listing or descriptions when looking through them.

Well, after not being sure about it, I ordered 25 CDs for $65. They had a fantastic selection of electronic stuff for so cheap, I just couldn't resist.

Red Hot Chili Peppers- I'm With You

I've listened to it when it was streaming a week ago so I knew what I was getting into. I dig this Chili Peppers sound. Raindance Maggie is the worst song on the album.
Love that album, my second favorite of theirs behind Leviathan.
Honestly, listened to it whole way through about twice now and I think slightly enjoying Remission more then Leviathan, both are great though. Only three more things from GoHastings left if they EVER GODDAMN GIVE ME A SHIPPING CONFIRMATION. For today though I got...

-3 Inches of Blood: Advance and Vanquish

And KMFDM: Beat By Beat By Beat DVD.

Some of the tracks on it are very different from their normal stuff, namely Trilobite, Ole Nessie and Trainwreck. I like all those tracks, but I still like the start to finish brutality of Leviathan more, especially having the 13 minute track Hearts Alive near the end.

Got my first part of my GoHastings order, I can't believe they package every CD separately. Like you said, bard, my mailman is gonna hate me.

Cassius - 1999
Cassius - 15 Again
Daft Punk - Alive 1997
Nine Inch Nails - Sin (Single)
Meat Beat Manifesto - Travelogue Live 05 (DVD)

I Remember the first part of my order my mailbox was literally crammed with yellow, bubblewrapped envelope. I'm sure much profanity was had that day.

Though right now I'm waiting on GoHastings to ship out two DVD's I ordered; Ministry: Adios...Putra Madres and KMFDM: WWIII Tour. I Have a feeling they're going to get cancelled though since they're rarely in stock used for them, but I can say I had a good run of stuff.

Part 2:

Goldfrapp - Number 1 EP
The Chemical Brothers - Loops of Fury EP
Daft Punk - Daft Club
Bjork - Vespertine Live
YOB - The Illusion of Motion

Well my KMFDM: WWIII DVD was cancelled. C'mon Ministry. Don't cancel on me, that's the one DVD I've wanted in my collection for awhile now. Besides that last CD from my order came in.

-Civet: Hell Hath No Fury
Fuck yes on the Yob, that album rules hard.
I also have Atma coming from Relapse and The Unreal Never Lived coming from Amazon.

Red Hot Chili Peppers--I'm With You.

Gave it a ton listen's over the weekend since I spent 9 hours or so in a car to and from the beach.

It's a solid album, but as expected a big step down from Stadium Arcadium. The new guitarist is ok, but I preferred their sound with Frusciante. But it's better than I expected it to be.

Kylesa - To Walk A Middle Course
Kylesa - Time Will Fuse It's Worth
YOB - Atma
Red Fang - Murder the Mountains (LP)
Mastodon - Remission (2xLP Purple Swirl)

That last CD I bought was Pokemon - 2.B.A. MASTER. Eleven years ago. Quite possibly the best CD ever released and really the only CD you need to own a physical copy of.

Dream Theater- A Dramatic Turn of Events
Primus- Green Naugahyde
Umphrey's McGee- Death By Stereo

If any of you are thinking about the new Dream Theater, don't buy the special edition unless you are a hardcore DT fan or collector. You get a 60 minute documentary about finding the new drummer which the record label already put out on you tube.

Anthrax - Worship Music
Primus - Green Naugahyde

Primus is my all time favorite band and I can't help but feel disappointed in this new album. It's not that it's bad, it's just that it sounds way more like Les' solo stuff. When they released the Animals EP, I absolutely loved it. It sounded like straight Primus. This new album is more like what Les has done in the last 4 years.

The guitar work isn't up to their standard, even though the guitar generally takes a back seat to the bass, but it's always been there and been awesome. The drumming is pretty boring as well and that surprises me since I know Jay can do some killer drumming like from Sausage. Maybe I need to give it a few more listens, I don't know. I wanted Primus and I got Les Claypool's Green Naugahyde.
