What was the last movie you bought, and what did you think about it?

last movie i bought was casino royale and i liked it but i havent watched it since. even at a discount price i still feel like it cost too much. i kinda prefer to just see things on tv or cable or online whenever hey just happen to be on.
Last movie I bought was The Dark Knight on Blu-Ray. It was my first time watching it and...
I wasn't impressed.

That's to bad, I loved it and continue to love it on Blu-ray, although, it was A LOT more awe inspiring on the big screen
Hard Boiled and Dark City: Directors Cut.

Teh Sechz.
how did the DVD copy of hard boiled look? I bought the collected edition of Stranglehold and It looked horrible.

The last movie I bought was The Dark Knight. I've Watched so many times that I have began to memorize quotes from the movie .

In all honesty, it looked like the VHS copy I got awhile back, but with a spit for polish. I Can't complain, since the movie still holds up though (but it's bullshit that original Cantonese is in mono).

King of California and Disturbia, used @ HV. Seen both already but enjoyed them and wanted to add them to my collection.

Iron Man special edition from Wal-Mart.

I thought it was AMAZING. Best movie of 2008, and that was all because of Robert Downey Jr. I loved it in the theatres and love it even more at home.

The Dark Knight on Blu Ray. Great movie, and happy with the disc.

Counting Gifts, I got 6 Blu Rays for Christimas:

The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Departed
Into the Wild
Eastern Promises
V for Vendetta
Batman Begins

All good movies I had seen before. Have only watched Nightmare and Eastern Promises since X-mas thouugh.
Dark Knight...meh

City of God.... fucking amazing
was that the one set in brazil or something with a kid with a camera?

Well, in 2008 I spent about $1,500 on movies ( + received various movies as gifts ) and I have to say that some were great, some were mediocre, some were bad, but the ones that always impress are the Criterion Collection movies that I have purchased. My most recent Criterions that I purchased were White Dog which was amazing and The Last Emperor (Blu-Ray) which I haven't had a chance to watch yet.

As for more mainstream Hollywood Flicks, I received The Dark Knight (Blu-Ray) recently and watched it last night....amazing as expected, but I had already seen it in theaters.

'The Girl Who Lept Through Time'

Good Anime for people who dont normally buy anime (i.e. me and other people like me who only buy Studio Ghibli stuff)

picked it up cause i like good Sci Fi time travel stories...check it out if that interests you.

cool that was an awesome movie. if you liked it check out slumdog millionare that and grantorino to me are the best movies of last year and probably this year too ( since i doubt there will be any movies coming out to top them).

30 days of night blu ray... Found a store by me that sells blurays new for $10 so i picked it up... yeah ill be trading it right back. It always amazes me that the simple notion of character development is always often forgotten.
Hellyboy 2: The Golden Army. The other Great superhero film of the summer after Dark Knight!
Yeah, that movie was great, I didn't like the first one, but the second is awesome
