What's in the PS Store (5/31/16): Neon Chrome, Oxenfree, Primal, There Came an Echo, Plague Inc, & More!
It's not required on PSN. I would not be surprised if it wasn't ready this week (next week most likely). I already bought it.
I know that. But Capcom always has a demo on both consoles for their downloadable games.
I know that. But Capcom always has a demo on both consoles for their downloadable games.
Wolf of Commando 3 did not on release. PSN got it a week before XBLA though. Two weeks later the demo showed up. I wonder if it has to do with sales being higher when they wait on the demo.

Pain is amusing for a few minutes, but I wasn't a huge fan. When trophies come out so there are specific challenges to accomplish I may play it again for a bit, I think I did all of the normal ones. I may get the amusement park add-on, which seems much more interesting than the original city.

PJ: Eden is amazing.
Once you get the controls down, which take a few minutes, it's like your flying.

Presentation is once again top notch though, great title screen.
Music is so good.

EDIT:Just saw the menu screen after hitting select.
Beautiful.
What is it typically? $10?

I admit I love the fact that PSN so frequently has sales on their items - something I've only seen on old XBLA titles nobody bought in the first place, and never on Wii.

There was a brief period where certain Rock Band songs were 0.99 each week.
yeah, that's one thing that XBLM needs to take notice... sure the XBLM has discounted really old ass XBLA games, but that's it and it takes forever.

Eden is neat. Any price point announced yet?
Probably $10, but I don't think it's been confirmed yet.
Figured. Still crossing my fingers for $5 though.

Haha, it won't be $5.00.

Maybe it'll be $7.99 for the first couple weeks like PJM launched at.

Seriously I'd pay $20 for this game, I'm blown away.

I really like it, but the control bugs me. I get why they did it, but with so many different actions mapping to the same button, I frequently fuck up and go sailing off somewhere I didn't intend. The good thing is I want to go back for more.

It's very old school. In an odd way, it reminds me of Mountain King and...something else that I can't remember the name of right now.

Mountain King had brilliant music too, all I can remember from it though.
Takes a little bit to get used to the controls, but once you do, you shouldn't be making silly mistakes.
I find that if I slow down a bit, and make sure I'm pointing in the right direction for my jumps, I screw up a lot less. Slow and steady wins the race!

So I bought PJM when it went on sale the other day and I have done nothing but play it when I've been home the past couple of days. I even forgot to sleep Friday night (and worked from pretty much 7 am - midnight on Saturday). I just can't stop until I get a rainbow on each level. Are there any other PSN games that are this addicting? I watched the PJE video and it made me think of Loco Rocco (which then made me throw up in my mouth). I bought LR on the PS3 when it came out because everyone raved about it on the PSP. But I quickly realized it must have been the PSPs Halo - everyone raves because it's the closest thing to quality the system has (at least at the time it came out).
So yeah, PJE doesn't exactly instill confidence in me. Maybe I should just play it and see. But back to my original question, anything as good as PJM?

I'll try it. I read the second to last page here after my post and realized that I should. I have SSD and do like that as well.

I don't think Loco Roco on the PS3 plays anything like it does on the PSP, so I'm not sure if you can talk shit about the game's quality without actually playing it yourself.

While PixelJunk Eden is similar in that both are 2D platformer with more emphasis on physics, they both play completely differently, so don't base your opinion of one on the other.
The more I play the PJE demo the more I like it. I hope that bad boy is gonna be $10 or less.
I'm crossing my fingers for a $7.99 initial release price.

I like $7.99 for PJE and I can deal with $9.99. Anything more than that however will be cause for much debate.

Well, I played PJE a couple of times last night, then went straight back to PJM. And I noticed that there is a PJM expansion for a dollar more than the sale price of the regular game.

Yay!

I spent some more time with it yesterday, and got the controls down. Just a pleasure to play, zipping around places and learning how things work. Will definitely be buying it.

Hey anybody know if Dark Mist is coming to the US store. I saw that the Hong Kong (and the Euro store too) store had it and I've been wanting to get it from the US store, but didn't hear any details.

Anybody know anything about a possible US release?
Five new additions to the PSX classics line:

Gurirurojishiku
Dice De Chocobo
Chocobo Stallion
Arkanoid Returns
Yamasa Digi Selection (slots, I think)

This brings us to a grand total of ***TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY*** PSX Classics in the Japanese store. So, you know, if you think I'm being ungrateful or sour about the US PSN Store's offerings, there's some fucking perspective for you: TEN TIMES the number of titles available in the US.
Tell me about it. (not sure if you commented on this before, but if so bare with me)

I think I was more surprised to see Squenix do a pack of games and even included the super rare and hard to get (ie. $200+ expensive Ebay-only) Rakugaki Showtime (the Treasure game that Square sued Enix over because of it's Cloud Strife clone character) I owned 2 copies ages ago (still have one)

But I mean come on, if Squenix is supporting the JPN PSN (and PS1 FF7 is rumored to be coming this winter to XBLA as well) what's the problem with the US store?

I know they have rumored that Home is the reason why we're being shafted (meaning that until home comes out and the PS1 store get's "integrated" into it we won't see a major amount of games released) That's a sham.

Even though I'm glad more people get to play the quirky little Treasure game (Einhander and Brave Fencer Musashi too were included along with Xenogears) the better but still, I mean come on, we're dyin' here. Give us something, I'd love to get my hands on Persona 1 or some of the PS1 Tales games that I'm not paying $60+ for, heck I'd even like to get Suikoden 1, since I enjoyed Suikoden 2, but again I'm not paying highway robbery prices.

Let's hope we get something good one day.

For anyone who hasn't bough PJM, now is the time for $4.99. Throw in the expansion as well for $5.99, and you've got great entertainment for just under $11.

I'd advise anyone who just bought Monsters to hold off on buying Encore because it's a waste of money if you're not good at the hard levels, which is about the level of difficulty you start off at with the expansion.

I can agree with this. Because PJM was on sale I also bought the expansion and it is a wee bit difficult.

I have been hoping as well and I haven't heard anything. I have been tempted to buy it from the japanese store a couple times but didn't.

You make a great point. However, I bought it more for my nephews than I did myself. They love it, and play co-op all the time. Myself, I'm content playing a "free" version online, but I'm a good uncle ;) !
So anyone know if Soul Calibur content will be included today? I just saw JPN PSN and they have some stuff for it.
should be cheap too...
should be cheap too...
It's fairly cheap. I think the clothing pack was 150 yen...which would be a little over 1.50 US.

The playstation blog has a new thing about Last Guy now with a video, saysing it's coming soon. Seems like a new version of pac-man.
yes! it has yet to be confirmed for a US release, but that nails it now. it's a super cheap japan title as well.
It isn't clear how cheap it will be because it looks like the version released in Japan today may only be a few of the levels.

I had thought it was going to use google maps so you could play anywhere... maybe a future update (it would be awesome if they could run it in home too, so you could see people running around trying to escape zombies).
