What's in the PS Store (5/31/16): Neon Chrome, Oxenfree, Primal, There Came an Echo, Plague Inc, & More!

I played the demo of Super Puzzle Fighter a couple nights ago and enjoyed it. I'd definately d/l it for $5 or so. Same with that Marvel Pinball game. $10 seems like too much though. How do I get discounts/deals for these games?

It's just Mega Man 1 according to the link you posted and The Drop from yesterday.

At any rate, we are happy to announce that the Japanese port of Rockman Complete Works: Mega Man 1 is out this week on the PlayStation Network for $5.99!

A MMX collection id be interested in but I always thought the original MM games were overrated.

wow, go for mass effect 2 at amazon and you get everything for 37 after credit bonus, that seems like the way to go. digital distribution is only gonna work if they can get these games alot cheaper...
What are the odds of that game getting localized to the US? It looks kinda cool but I don't want to play it in Japanese.
Well, it's being developed for the Xbox 360 as well, so I'd say the chances are significantly higher than if it was a PS3 exclusive. I mean, they're certainly not developing it for the Japanese Xbox 360 audience, are they?
What are the odds of that game getting localized to the US? It looks kinda cool but I don't want to play it in Japanese.
Atlus USA does a good job of localizing almost every game that their Japanese counterparts make, so this will be coming over. Especially because it's their first PS3/Xbox 360 game and they'll want to give it the best chance to make the money back by bringing it to the regions that have way more of those systems than Japan.
http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/17/catherine-and-gal-gun-demos-available-in-japan-this-month/

Catherine demo coming next Thursday for those with Japanese PSN accounts.
Thanks for the heads up, also thanks to MXPowar for the info on Catherine, didn't know it was multiplatform, I honestly thought it was an exclusive.
It's just Mega Man 1 according to the link you posted and The Drop from yesterday.
Yeah I checked a few spots to clarify the info.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/search/index.html?platform=6&game=Rockman&s=s

http://www.capcom-unity.com/jgonzo/...sn:_mega_man_(rockman_complete_works_edition)

The unity post updated with new information, these are the exact same versions that were released in America in the MM Anniversary Collection, (according to the blog post) so unless you just gotta have'em in Japanese or a copy of the originals and prefer them not on disc, then stick with the PS2/GC/Xbox version.

Otherwise pretty slim pickin's this week for me, I grabbed Scott Pilgrim this past week if you love 8/16-bit games, River City Ransom, and a fun mindless brawler then buy it, played 3 player at my nephews and they had lots of fun since they both grew up in the NES era.

Thing I wanna know is why PSN sent me the email for this weeks update last week? I knew about the PSN+ sale a week early...weird.
Well, it's being developed for the Xbox 360 as well, so I'd say the chances are significantly higher than if it was a PS3 exclusive. I mean, they're certainly not developing it for the Japanese Xbox 360 audience, are they?
Ah, I didn't think of it that way, but that's a good point.

For those who might be interested, it's got different cover art for each platform:
Mass Effect 2 is available now in the PS Store for $59.99. The rest of the update will happen at around the usual time.
Man talk about overpriced! $60! Its a year old game being sold digitally.

Full priced digital downloads shouldn't be a surprise. You pay for the "convenience". :p I'm sure it'll go on sale sometime down the line, and do a permadrop even later than that.
Man talk about overpriced! $60! Its a year old game being sold digitally.
It has all of the DLC included, so it's basically a Game of the Year edition for the PS3. $30 Game + $30 of DLC = $60
Man talk about overpriced! $60! Its a year old game being sold digitally.
It's also got every piece of downloadable add on content with it.

I still think it should be cheaper than retail, given that there is no disc associated with it, but whatever.
So what's the word on Modern Combat: Domination?

Decent enough to warrant its cheap price?
I haven't heard much, but I'm strangely looking forward to it. It would have to be pretty terrible to not even be worth $8, which is totally within the realm of possibility. Thankfully, there's a demo.

Still waiting for the full update, but Modern Combat: Domination (and demo) and the Mass Effect 2 DLC packs are there if you search. Presumably other stuff is there too, but I didn't dig around too much.

i didnt even hear about modern combat until today. the trailer looks good, but no reviews anywhere. for 8 bucks, i might bite also.

Great update. Downloading Mega Man and Scott Pilgrim right now.

BTW, if you're a Playstation Plus member you can get Mega Man for $3.00.

Is TV Show King worth a dollar?

Holy sh*t, just had to come here and say this is a a great update! I cannot believe they have ME 2 up there, and that its 12gb!! WOW!! Not too mention a release date game on sale for PS+ like with Dead Nation..wish every week could be like this, but I'll settle for one good one every month. I'm DL-ing Modern Combat now, have the Move controllers ready!

it's...well, it's a gameloft game. they don't do any original work, and this is a $7.50, stripped down and plagiarized online-only (for the demo) COD experience.

I played it for 30 minutes or so. I thought "yeah, well, it *is* $7.50."

By the end, I thought that, even at $7.50, my money would be better spent playing something else. It's junk food, honestly: tasty but empty.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011...ayer-open-beta-coming-to-psn-on-february-2nd/

The Killzone 3 beta opens up on February 2nd. I've played quite a bit of it and they got rid of the weighty controls and the locked classes, so it's a greatly improved multiplayer experience.

Can anyone comment on the quality of any of the Neo Geo titles in the PS store? I'm considering Metal Slug and KoF94, but I want perfect arcade ports. I can't find a review of these titles anywhere however...

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/01/23/the-drop-week-of-jan-24th-2011-new-releases/

This week's The Drop:
PlayStation Portable

Lord of Arcana (Also on PSN) — This world is called Horodyn, so named for its first king. At the edge of a village surrounded by a huge forest lies the powerful stone Arcana, the source of all order in the world. It is said that only one with power can acquire Arcana. Slayers annihilate hordes of monsters so that they could lay their hands on Arcana. What power does it hold? And to what destiny is one with Arcana bound?

Defeat tough enemies and obtain new items and skills with up to three friends, or take on a variety of quests in single-player mode in this multiplayer action game from Square Enix. With its simple and intuitive controls, even those unaccustomed to action games can jump right into the fast-paced world of Lord of Arcana. (PS Blog Coverage: Lord of Arcana: Delivering Brutality on the Go)

PlayStation Network

Dead Space: Extraction (Demo Available) $14.99 — Dead Space Extraction tells the story of a handful of space colonists desperately struggling to escape from a horrific infection on the Aegis VII mining colony deep in the furthest regions of space.

The game introduces a new heroine to the fiction and as the crew fall victim to a mysterious contagion aboard the ship, it becomes clear that protecting her may be their only hope for survival. Dead Space Extraction introduces all new characters, weapons, enemies, puzzles and co-operative multiplayer gameplay.

Bulletstorm (Demo) – Bulletstorm brings new furor to first-person shooter action thanks to its signature ‘kill with skill’ gameplay. The game tells the story of a futuristic confederation protected by an elite band of mercenaries: Dead Echo. When Dead Echo members Grayson Hunt and Ishi Sato learn they’ve been working for the wrong side, they’re betrayed by their commander and exiled to the far reaches of the galaxy.

In Bulletstorm, Grayson and Ishi find themselves surrounded by hordes of mutants and flesh eating gangs in an abandoned paradise. They have two objectives: get off the planet alive, and exact revenge on the man who sent them there. (PS Blog Coverage: BulletStorm PS3 Interview: Me and CliffyB)
