What's in the PS Store (5/31/16): Neon Chrome, Oxenfree, Primal, There Came an Echo, Plague Inc, & More!
You'd think so, but as I was looking around for answers to my question as to who owns the IP's, unless they were developed solely by Hudson or owned by them then Konami would have to go back and get legal permission to put them on the PSN again.

Really good link to the history of the TG-16
http://www.1up.com/features/20-years-turbografx-16-retrospective?pager.offset=0

It would have made more sense for Konami to let Hudson's US arm operate until all current projects had been put to pasture then close them down as they had planned. So now they'll have to do it internally with Konami US taking over any projects that Hudson was working on, that is if they can even be bothered, since the JPN branches of both companies are still alive and well, but won't meddle in the affairs of what their US subsidiary does.

Ugh, seems like we may never see them. Thanks for the info, it was interesting!

I too have every one of these that I want. Dammit. All very good games though! Here's to hoping they put the others on sale soon too.
Of course, this isn’t the end of the awards ceremony! The celebration continues as the award-winning titles will be featured during the first week of our Spring Fever event, kicking off tomorrow, with the winning games discounted 30% in the PlayStation Store and available for a 50% discount to PlayStation Plus subscribers.
so am i reading this wrong when I assume the other games will be popping up in spring fever at (presumably a lesser) discount? B/c I really want Pac-Man but it was in the list and if it's going to drop in price I'll wait.

I read that as the other N titles on the list are going to be a part of the Spring Fever sale and will be discounted appropriately. I imagine that you'd get at least 30% off as a regular member, 50% off for plus. I highly doubt you'll see much more of a discount than that though.

Well i was reading the comments and I was wrong.

Sorry but the other nominees won’t be on Sale during Spring Fever. Only the PSN GCA 2011 winners will. That said, you will able to find a couple other good games on sale each week of Spring Fever (ending 4/12). Those won’t be the PSN GCA 2011 nominees though. Stay tuned to know Spring Fever full line up of games very soon…
Oh well at least i have no reason not to buy Pac-Man now.

Pac-Man's worth the $10 in my opinion. I'm loving it. It's 400 points until today on XBOX Live if that's an option for anyone.
Ugh, seems like we may never see them. Thanks for the info, it was interesting!
Yeah your welcome, glad you enjoyed what you read. Never say never, but the chances are looking slimmer than ever, and the JPN PSN is looking more appealing for those who are interested and slim on options.

Just sayin'. ;)
I don't see anything there that suggests the other games will also be getting sales. The winners go on sale starting tomorrow.
The reason this came up is Rey or Ro (the PSN representative) made a comment alluding to this, and this is where the confusion originally started that ALL of the titles would be on sale during Spring Fever in the intervening weeks. Now we know that they must have changed their minds and decided not to do that, otherwise why bother to vote (as I said in my original comment to this reasoning)

That being said, I was hoping for Death Spank as well, as I skipped the sequel because I didn't like it as much as the first one (the setting more than anything) and would have dropped a tenner on it. At least Dead Nation won, that's the other one I wanted to win. Woulda took Pac-Man as well (since my nephew wanted to get it) but oh well.

And not to begrudge people who like Castle Crashers, but what do they see in that game, I found the demo tedious and nothing more than a Flash-based looking button masher, played it once went "Meh" and deleted it. I didn't understand why it got so much Hype when it first appeared on XBLA and then when it was ported over to PSN. I still don't get why people are interested in it, I guess it's the multiplayer component, which would be lost on me...anyway.

there's something to be said about doing "more of the same" well. Unlike straight ports of games like TMNT or X-Men which were designed for quarters and what all and have obvious weaknesses I think Castle Crashers works not because it does anything particularly innovative or unique but it does all the things of it's genre well. That coupled with some modern humor makes it appeal to many of us. Playing it with people is really fun.

Want to pick up GOW when it drops, but I've been trying to add funds using my CC and it refuses to take any of them. I read your address can cause problems if its not identical with what your CC company has(including caps), but I've double checked all my info and still cannot get it to work. Pretty annoying, I guess they don't want my money. I might pick up a PSN card from the store if I get a chance.

If you live in an apartment. You need to add that in the first address line, then in the second one add your street address. Not sure why it's that way, but if that's the problem, hope that help, if not, it's easier to get a psn card.

I remember really liking that PSX Hercules game way back when it came out - it's basically the successor to the awesome Aladdin/Jungle Book sidescrollers on the Genesis.

Toy Story 2 was also pretty good but not sure if that will hold up.

I loved it too. Pick Mileena, get the pit stage and really close go down, down, down, square ;)

Hercules does look fun.

Mortal Kombat has gone back to basics, in a very, very good way. Shame about Johnny Cage's douchebag tattoo. Is it too late to remove that from the game?

What's the story on the Dragon Age II DLC? Is that stuff to prevent you from buying the game used (i.e., download vouchers are in the game if you buy new) - or are they already releasing DLC the day of release, much like they did w/ Dead Space 2?

I had the Hercules game back in the day on the PS1 and had a blast with it, really good movie game.

Thanks for the heads up FT - I've been waiting for a sale on Flow (I missed the first one). Edit: Crap, nevermind. I was thinking of Flower. Wish that would go on sale. :whistle2:(

I also picked up Shift Extended for $2. Seems like a unique little puzzle game. I hope it gets harder though. I beat the first 20 levels in just a few minutes.

You might want to try Stacking for a challenging (and very funny) puzzle game.

Also, on the subject of Disney games, why didn't they release Aladdin: Nasira's Revenge? That was a decent game (better than Bug's Life, imo.)

It's probably the same reason I don't GET Borderlands, and some of the "humor" that's been in some of these games that's suppose to be funny makes me groan, I guess I don't like cheap laughs as much as I used too.
This.
Umm......which part, I was replying to like three different things...;)
I certainly hope that the 30%/50% PS+ trend will not become the norm for PSN sales.
They're baiting the hook, trying to entice more people to sign up, you should know that by now. That's why Stacking was free, why the Genesis games for the next 4 months are free, games are discounted 30-50%, and other stuff.

So I wouldn't be shocked if that's the new "norm" as you say for sales, but yeah would be nicer to get 50% across the board, but don't be shocked if it becomes common place from here on in.

I see Squenix, still can't decide what to call Necromachina, since Ro is referring back to its original name Moon Diver, it's nice to see that all that is left is only Rush N Attack then all of the games I've been waiting for will be out.

I see I'm not the only one who thinks that.

Wow...must be me, but the selctions for this years Spring Fever (on this list anyway) just...suck. I bought 2-3 things last year, and this year, other than Dead Nation, I might (big IF there) get Eat Them, but I already own War of the Monsters and I'm not a huge Rampage fan either, even though I do like King of the Monsters 1/2, so I'll think about that one.

Anybody have any recommendations for this game?

Yeah, here considering what I just said above, this confuses me too.

Frisky, can you shed any light on what the heck Ro is talking about, if the sales end next week for what's on sale this week, why would the prices/sales reflect a 50% off sales price for every one...or is Ro ONLY talking about the award winners, if so then I'll be pissed for spending $3 more, but still that comment makes like no sense at all, or why'd they do that to people who bought thinking it's the cheapest it'd be period...

Is Ro talking about the sales from 3/15 on...if so then it does make more sense, just not explained very well, that the award winners get this special treatment, then from next week onward until the end of Spring Fever sales will be 50% off for everyone for the sale items, if so then it's starting to be a lot clearer.

Still, bad wording by Ro, I gotta say that, wonder why we were confused by the award nominees all being part of the Spring Fever sale, this person needs to learn how to clarify their statements better...

Man long post...

They announced a week or so ago that the game's name is officially Moon Diver. Considering they announced it a few weeks before it's release, they have to remind however many people knew it as Necromachina, though I don't recall ever hearing about the game before it's name was changed.

Eat Them is fine for what it is, but the way the story mode is handled isn't great. They just show a list of events that you need to beat and then you get a store event before going back to a group of events in that area to get to the next story event.

I'm looking forward to Slam Bolt Scrappers and Ghostbusters, as far as Spring Fever games are concerned.

I guess I'll translate since this is confusing people. He's saying that the rest of the Spring Fever deals (listed above) are 50% off rather than the 30%/50% split they have for the Gamers' Choice winners depending on whether you're a PS+ member or not.

2. Plants vs. Zombies
3. Tetris (guessing the PS3 version)
4. Pac-Man Championship Edition DX
5. Mortal Kombat II

It wasn't that hard when I played through the XBLA version by myself. It may depend upon which knight you use, as some have better powers for crowd control than others like the ice knight's ability to freeze enemies.

Perhaps, but I just react badly when a company takes something which used to be free, and moves it into the pay column. I am not upset that cloud save game is only for PS+ because plus subscriptions probably drove/funded its development. Straight 50% becoming 60%/50, I wouldn't care as being PS+ gives you an added bonus, but the prospect of 50% becoming 50%/30% just rubs me the wrong way.
Tetris doesn't appear to be on sale. Has it been announced but isn't until another week?

Unrelated: really, really enjoying Explodemon.
That's because the rest of the sales don't begin until next week since the Gamers' Choice winners are on sale this week.
