That's how the Hard Corps characters were priced when it came out on XBLA.
Sorry, I usually don't follow what XBLA does with most stuff unless its something I'm really interested in (and then get jealous for not having , I'm looking at you Radiant Silvergun) So I didn't know that it was universal, but still, that's just ridiculously overpriced DLC for both games.
I see Myke summed it up a little more bluntly than me...

A question, does anybody know if the demo for
Furi Furi! Ape Escape (Getchu Saru) is still up on the
JPN PSN?
I looked for 30 minutes, did a search with the Kanji and only came up with a Gameplay video, 2 jpg's, and a 300 Yen Dynamic Theme (from what I could tell). The demo came out in Jan., but since this IS the JPN store I wouldn't be shocked if it was taken down already, surprised since its a Sony game, but not shocked.
If they took it down, I'll just wait for the US/UK release and grab it then (I'm trying to get the PSN Move demos in my D/L list for when I eventually get a Move) anyway if anybody knows I'd appreciate a heads up.
From the wiki page:
The GameCube version is a direct port of the original PlayStation version with no added features other than an increased frame rate for FMV scenes, and smoother-looking character models.
I know what the wiki page says, but I'd say its more of a port of the DC / PC version. Due to the cleaner textures, better FMV quality, etc.
Similar to how Dino Crisis PC and DC share the same "DNA" and yet differ from the PS1 version. And also with RE2 on PC and DC as well, same story, cleaned up visuals/FMV and unlockables / extras right from the get go.
So if he can tolerate the low poly character models and such, go for it, but I personally own the PC version of every version (except 3 on DC) that I bought mainly because of the higher resolution character models and such. (I own RE2 on PS1 as well and the difference is quite noticeable between the two, same game, just one looks a lot nicer)
