What's in the PS Store (5/31/16): Neon Chrome, Oxenfree, Primal, There Came an Echo, Plague Inc, & More!
I thought the first half was really good. Captured the feeling of the games really well until the 2nd half and the
witchcraft BS
.
the first half was cool and the part where
pyramid head skinned that chick alive
was amazing. but yeah the film kinda fell apart at the end and i didnt like the ending at all that said it is one of the better videogame based movies. still as a movie on its own its very lacking.
Where for art thou Suikoden II?!
Seriously. I know they want to put popular games on, like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, etc, which is fine, but they should also try putting on stuff that costs WAY too much via Amazon/Half.com/eBay/wherever, like Suikoden II, Valkyrie Profile (though it's available on PSP), Tomba; that kind of stuff.

ehh...tough call. it's not bad, it's just not really inviting. the challenges it offers for high scores and trophies are way fuckin' off the charts too hard for what the game is.

it's also very repetitive.
Update's still not official? I think they're just making Smiggity sweat since the Socom DLC is due. :D
Store is updated for me now. Not a heck of a lot, but I had forgotten the MGS: Peace Walker demo was going to be available.

It also looks like Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman is on sale for $10. Is this a new thing this week? I might be interested in starting a gameshare for it.

I forgot about so many of the releases in which I had mild interest: Brutal Legend DLC, Army of Two demo, and well, not a heck of a lot else for me (I know there's a GT5 demo, enjoy all you racing fans). There are a LOT of new demos this week. GT5, GH: Van Halen, Army of Two, Peace Walker, Diner Dash, TV Show King, and Puzzlegeddon.

$10 on FF8. SE tax has been implemented.
Where for art thou Suikoden II?!
Yeah, been waiting for that one ever since I bought the first one and got all 108 stars on it. >_>

I'll be grabbing Brutal Legend DLC, maybe a Burn Zombie Burn for $5, Portable Ops for PSP, GT5 demo... and the new MGS PSP demo if it did come out...

EDIT - which Frisky's list shows. Sweet.

Was something going on with PSN Store last night? It took me literally 7 hours just to download FF8 and the Peace Walker demo to my PSP. I've downloaded plenty of stuff in the past and never seen it move so slowly.

Probably depends when you did it. With the sheer amount of demos last night, I'm betting their servers were getting slammed. I know the Japan/EU servers were taking damn near an hour for 200MB due to so many downloading the GT5 demo.

It took me a LONG time to download/install a few of those demos as well, and I chalked it up to that.

GT5 flew for me. Same with Final Fantasy VIII.

The GoW3 demo on the other hand, is taking fucking ages. The game is going to come out before I play the demo.
Minis are supposed to be working on PS3 now, though one of the two I tried didn't work (Alien Havoc, which sucks anyway).
Pinball Fantasies was also a no go...

I do know you have to redownload them, but I tried deleting and redownloading a couple times last night with no results.

As I recall, there was a GH: Aerosmith demo as well. I think we should've known they were desperate the minute they started to give away GH: Van Halen for FREE when you bought GH5. :p

It's worth noting that the SOCOM DLC is on a 3-day initial discount.

For a limited time, the Cold Front pack will be available for only $9.99. Be sure and download the pack from the PlayStation Store this weekend to lock in the low introductory price. After Sunday, December 20 the price will move to $14.99.

(From http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/12/socom-confrontation-cold-front-dlc-available-tomorrow/)

Regarding minis, I heard that only a couple work on the PS3 initially, but after some date, they'll all work but you'll have to re-download them.

EDIT: I just read that the 17th was that date, so maybe you just need to re-download?
Anyone try puzzlegeddon? Seems pretty fun, but is the puzzle mechanic decent? I would totally be up for 6 player action.
I tried the demo for a bit.. it's kinda interesting, but I'm still confused on how the battle part works. I think every time you clear blocks you get ammo to fight with... gonna mess with it more tonight.

I tried out the Puzzlegeddon demo and was just confused by what was going on even after I read through the instructions, so I'd rather stick with the other solid puzzle games I have (Lumines, Trash Panic, etc).

Does anybody here want a ModNation Racers theme? I've got an extra code, so it's free to the first non-noob CAG I know that PM's me. It's gone.

Edit: If you're even slightly interested in the GH Van Halen theme that's free, get it now since it treats the download like a purchase, unlike every other free theme, so they might be charging for it soon.

are all army of 2 games so slow? that demo was a chore to try out not just in playing but finding someone to play with. i do like the masks though.

This kind of reminds me of how crappy Sega's support for PSN has been, but I've pulled prices from the OP to get approximations on what these prices should be when they go live tomorrow.
Is there a bundle for all the VC add-on content? I'm not dropping $9 on all three, but if there's a bundle for $5-7, I may consider.
I doubt it. $9 is better than $15, though you'll have plenty of time to mull it over.

I just wanted to post to anyone on the fence that TV Show King is good. The only part I don't like is the "Flashlight" rounds, where you use motion controls to select options... why they hell did they reverse left and right? Anyways a good blend of twists, trivia, and speed. Well worth $6.99 (CAD).

If you are one of those poor suckers that paid $15.99 (CAD) for Jeopardy, then this will feel like a steal of a deal. Oh god, and can't even think of Jeopardy without ranting how shitty that game is. Sony should really pull it, as it almost turned me off every buying another PSN game. Super short animation loops, no variations. Didn't even bother to have Trebeks voice. Basically they just milked the license.

The only one you won't like is the Ultra Hard difficulty. It's...really hard. But you do get really cool weapons if you beat them. But the other 2 I can definitely recommend (Especially Behind Her Blue Flame).

BTW, the Hong Kong Store has 4 Premium Avatar packs available for $1 (equivalent) each.

Europe got a great update today.

Noteworthy, Hustle Kings and the introduction of Premium Avatars. Bunch of Sackboys for about 40 cents USD each. (hong kong got some too i believe)

Today.

I just know Battle Fantasia is coming, and the LBP water pack.
Hoping for some other Christmas surprises. Europe got Vagrant Story.

Vagrant Story here would be very nice.

FYI, any item you want can usually be had up to 1 hour in advance by searching for it in PS Store. It has worked twice for me now, once for Socom maps and once for LBP add-on back in the summer I think. Its worth a shot if you really want something

If anyone is brave enough to buy the Heavy Rain dynamic theme, please let us know how it is
