What's in the PS Store (5/31/16): Neon Chrome, Oxenfree, Primal, There Came an Echo, Plague Inc, & More!

The latest update for Joe Danger (look at the Joe Danger thread for the link) said that they're nearly done and it could be out as soon as late May or early June.

Looks like we'll be seeing anotherr high priced title going on saale tomorrow, lf what is writtrn over at (playxrationlifstyle.com)
'Section 8' is supposed to be 50% off making it $14.99 (limited time of course)
lf it is true, which it likely is the idea of cutting prices on the higher priced games is a good way to gett people's attention.

i wish theyd bring back some of the other things that had been on sale again i missed out on some of the better games due to my ps3 being dead. id also like to see burnout go on sale too.

I'd get Section 8, but I'd rather have a good single player over a multiplayer... :( It looks really cool, but I prefer single player games more.
There's a ton of sci-fi shooters coming out this year, that have good looking (so far) single player campaigns, that I'll have my pick of the litter :bouncy:

Definitely jumping on section 8, $3 after gameshare, can't top that. Just hope I can find 4 other people to go in on it with. I too am hoping for burnout to go on sale as I've been looking to rebuy it since I got my new ps3.

I thought $30 for the full game for Burnout was the sale? Anyway, I just got that a few days ago and I'm enjoying it so far. Though I'm a bit confused on a few of the terms and how to do some stuff in the game (e.g. Road Rules - what is this?, and how to get to "crash mode" or whatever it's called where you try and do the most damage by crashing).

There is not crash mode in Burnout Paradise like there was in the previous Burnout games. Instead there's a different mode that I don't think is nearly as good that you get to by just clicking the analog sticks, I think.

Doesn't it have both Single and Multiplayer? I think it looks decent

Is Section 8 Shareable? Anyone know?

theres something you can do you hold 2 of the shoulder buttons and your car rolls over and you can keep rolling into car after car building up a kind of momentum meter.

in Burnout Paradise, the "Crash Mode", now called "Showtime", you can start it on any street at anytime and allows you to 'roll your car" as you hit things you can bounce (direction controled by your joysticks or motion sensor) your car and gain momentum forward allowing multiple points, buses of course add multipliers for even bigger damage totals.

I'm getting errors, like they're about to push out the update and parts of it are showing up, but it looks like....

The 'Dem Bones' pack for Batman:AA is coming to the store for people who didn't pre-order it from Gamestop.

There is a 'Spring Fever' banner with the SOE logo, but I don't know what its for.... gives an error. Could be the Midway bundle below.

By searching for 'bundle' I found both of these:

'PopCap Spring Fever Bundle' - $24.99 - Bejeweled 2, Feeding Frenzy 2, Heavy Weapon, Peggle, and Zuma
'Midway Spring Fever Bundle' - $14.99 - Championship Sprint, Gaunlet II, Joust, Mortal Kombat II, and Rampage World Tour

Also I see 'World of Outlaws Sprint Cars', some $19.99 racing game from THQ.

might get the midway bundle 15 bucks for a bunch of games that go for way more bought seperately. but is rampage really world tour or just the original version?

Who else is getting the PopCap bundle? Some of the games require four people for trophies and I'd love to get a couple nights of CAG Peggle games going. Leave your PSN if you're gettin it.

@smiggity,

Yeah you're right, there is a single player.... Man, I don't know if I should get this or not.

Anyone else have Section 8? Is it any good?

Actually I read the SP is just a small tutorial story. It does have Bot support but is mainly an Online-only shooter.. Im curious and would like some CAGs opinions as well

That's rather bizarre, they put the Insane Night Pack (2 maps), the collector's edition map, and the game stop pre-order map on the Batman AA: GOTY disc, but you still have to download the Prey in the Darkness Map pack (and the joker pack for the PS3 version). Why not just put it all on the disc?
$3.50 is really steep for a single challenge map but I guess they would have to be overpriced to make the GOTY edition not look like an even worse deal compared to Batman AA: Standard edition.

Nothing for me this week.

Rocket Knight is also up on the JPN store for 1000 yen.

Edit: I don't like how the JPN store doesn't put everything that's new in the top button (the new release section) makes it hard to know when and if they added anything worthwhile without hunting all over the place.

It's also up on the UK store too. I downloaded the demo, but haven't tried it out yet.

Yeah, WTF, why didn't Rocket Knight come out in the US this Tuesday? I was really disappointed to see that only 360 got it.

Wierd ps3 issue! On my old fat ps3 i had downloaded 2 free psn games, flow and rag doll kung fu. I just got a slim and have been redownloading everything and now it appears i can't redownload the game flow. I redownloaded rag doll but i cant find flow in my previous downloads and when i go to the store it wants to charge me for flow. Usually when i go to redownload something at the store that i already downloaded there will be no price next to the name of the game cause you already bought it.
What the F?

It was probably a special version that replaced the normal version while it was free, so they probably took it down completely when that was over. Stuff that's up there for a limited time usually is still in the download list even when it's not accessible anymore, like Gran Turismo HD.

Yeah Flow and Rag Doll Kung Fu both were two that were only avaialble for a short while and were non-transferable between systems (ie. no game share)

After playing the UK demo, I feel the same way you do! Great game, and very fun. If it's $14.99 (like I've read it will be), then I'll hold out for a sale. $9.99 is an auto-buy though!

Argh, $15? I know it's only a $5 difference but for some reason $10 just seems like the most I want to pay for downloadable games. $5 is usually my instant-buy point.

Well, if it's a lot of fun, I may get it anyway. I just love these 2D side scrollers in HD.

Thanks for the info guys.

Well it seems like a bunch of people want the Popcap bundle, and since it expires in a few days, does someone want to start a gameshare for it?

Man, only if CAG had a thread where users could get together and discuss game sharing?!?!?!?;)

I haven't read anyone post the the fact they're giving you the Gravity Crash dynamic theme if you purchase Gravity Crash (it's still $9.99 though) temporary offer of course

I agree with you, though a lot of that has to do with all the half-off sales PSN has had recently. I have no problem at all paying $10 for a game if I feel I'll get some play out of it. $15 is a little too rich for my blood, even though the game is very fun!

It's probably too late but I'm still interested in jumping in on a Popcap game share group, PM me if you have a spot open.

Also, I would like to start a group for just the Hot Shots Golf extra costumes, and the two extra girl characters. I guess if people would be interested in getting sackboy and Karatos, I can deal with that too. Please PM me if you are interested.
Question to Section 8 owners, What is your opinon of the the ps3 single player campaign mode?
It is ridiculously short and has some terrible cliche dialogue, but if you aren't expecting much it's a fun game. Definitely worth the 3 bucks if you get it in a gameshare.

i dont now if this has been mentioned or not but theres a free wakeboarding hd dynamic theme in the european store. they also have alot of free basic themes.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010...tore-echochrome-soundtrack-with-gallery-demo/

Two echochrome soundtracks (one normal and one remixed) are coming this week for $2.99 each or $4.99 in a bundle. When you get the bundle, you also get access to the gallery demo:

What’s this “gallery demo” I speak of? Basically, we have created a special demo using 1,000 hand-selected user-created levels. There is no main menu. Instead, you see all 1000 stages on the screen, playing and rotating around. Use the analog sticks to zoom in and out and pan around. Zoom in far enough on a stage and you can jump right into it and start playing. This demo was actually featured at the Portland Art Museum “M.C. Escher Exhibit,” as well as a well-known art and cultural center in Tokyo, Japan! It’s a unique and fun way to interact with echochrome that I’m sure the fans will really enjoy.

They also mentioned that avatars are coming soon, too.

half off on street fighter 2 turbo hd edition thats a price i cant pass on since it also has mp. sucks that they didnt discount all the midway games to 1.99.
