What's in the PS Store (5/31/16): Neon Chrome, Oxenfree, Primal, There Came an Echo, Plague Inc, & More!

I played the first 2 episodes and its good fun, but not as good as Sam and Max the Devils Playhouse or the secret of monkey island 2.
I'm really enjoying the Driver SF multiplayer demo after being disgusted by the game at first.
Entire game. I should know, I just bought it lol.
Thanks! I should have known better. Had a "McFly" moment

Slightly off topic: Does anyone know why there isn't comic book app on the PS3's PSN, while it is available on the PSP version of the PSN? I haven't been able to access PSN on my PSP for over a year.

I enjoy browsing the game section and the video section of the PSN on my PS3. Just would like to see the comic book section since I can't connect my PSP to PSN/online/my family's wireless network.
Slightly off topic: Does anyone know why there isn't comic book app on the PS3's PSN, while it is available on the PSP version of the PSN?
Because no one wants to read comics off a TV screen.

You could use MediaGo to access the PSP's store on your PC to buy comics and transfer to your PSP from there. I think they're idea for the app was to make the PSP a portable comic reader.

Read that Dust 514, the MMOFPS from the Eve Online guys that ties into that MMO, will be a PSN game that is somewhat free-to-play. It'll potentially have a $20 cover charge that gets you the client and $20 in-game to spend on stuff and no more money's required to do anything if you're a cheapass. I thought it was going to be a retail game, but being on PSN makes more sense.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/08/23/virtua-fighter-5-final-showdown-pummels-psn-summer-2012/

A new version of Virtua Fighter 5 is coming to PSN next summer with online play and a number of new features/tweaks:
This latest version is called Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown or “VF5FS,” and it introduces a fistful of new features to this time-tested fighter, including completely rebalanced mechanics, timing, animation and a brand-new dynamic arena system. We’re also introducing two new characters to the roster: Sumo wrestler Taka-Arashi will make his big return from VF3 and karate expert Jean Kujo will join the VF series for the first time. Best of all, VF5FS now includes online play via PSN, engineered to allow fast-paced combat with little to no latency.

Yeah seemed okay. Little difficult adjust to the idea of playing point-n-click adventure games on the :ps3: though. (And this is coming from someone who played through nearly everything from Sierra back in the '80s)

I'd pick that or the Monkey Island bundle for under $10 though. Even if it doesnt come with a hint book and magic marker to 'highlite' the hints.

Thanks Frisky! I forgot about MediaGo I guess I have an incentive to finally download that application.

Also, I just tried to play Sonic Generation's demo for the first time and it won't let me. It asks me to go to the PSN store and the PSN store has it removed.

I never knew that demos could be indirectly removed from my PS3. I guess I should just delete that since I can't play it.

Edit: Seems like the comic application and my PSP requires an Internet connection in order to run, guess I can't even access the comics I already had on my PSP. Media Go seems to help.

Yeah, I got mine, but the free Section 8 arrived as a PSN message attachment and I already have the game, so that kinda sucks. I was hoping I'd just get a voucher code via email and I could give it away. Any suggestions?

Just played the warhammer demo, wow, it was a blast, especially the jump mission. Captures the feel of the rts game while also bringing a new experience to the fps genre. Didn't really have high hopes, but Relic might have a surprise hit.

The Sonic demo was only available for a few weeks and had an expiration date for how long it was playable. I don't know what Sega was hoping to accomplish by making it unplayable after a certain date.

That sucks about the comics. I recall there being an initial download to get the app, so maybe that's the hang-up?

I believe that it was confirmed that rolling back your system date would reset the timer, provided you don't connect your system to PSN after you do it.

I downloaded the Resistance 3 beta last night, stayed up to wait for it to finish installing, then had to patch it, then finally booted it up, it found me a match immediately and then proceeded to freeze my PS3 up at the loading screen for the level.

Then today, figured I'd give it another go, found that there was another new patch today (2.04) so I thought cool, that should fix it. Nope. Same result, froze at the loading screen. After 2 hard resets of attempting to play a beta, I've given up. Not worth the hassle.

Mine did the same thing last night, but I haven't tried yet today. I was having a pretty good time too. Even though is feels a little too Call of Duty'ish

Well my friends geting the mortal kombat kollection for me but I'm more excited I just scored Outrun Online Arcade.

Neat. I really need to finish God of War 2 and sell my PSP copy of the first GoW PSP game (chains of something?).

Shock Troopers will be bought if it is a competent port. The version on the PS2 SNK collection is pants-shittingly bad.

I thought I read something about this, but I searched and couldn't find it again. I preordered Street Fighter, but forgot to preorder Deathspank and now the preorder link is gone. If I buy it tomorrow when it hits the store and buy the other thee, do I get payday for free still?

I think you had to preorder it the Thursday before the game came out, so no.

Yeah, you're still eligible for the PayDay bonus offer as long as you buy all four games by 9/19. The only thing you miss out on if you don't pre-order is the theme.

Nice, Blue Toad 1 goes free four days after I buy it for a $1. XD

And 4 Elements on PSN? Hmm. It's a great game, but I can't really see it playing well with a PS3 controller.

Bed Intruder Song for RB3! Finally! (I know it's a bit played out by now but I'm a sucker for parody songs/songs with funny lyrics).

I was ready to believe that reviewer until he mentioned the "error" in MK3 that allows you to move before FIGHT appears on screen. Myke is right. The game is fine, although multiplayer on my end has bad lag.

10 years later and I still stink at these games. I barely win on "very easy" mode.

The AI is brutal. It always has been on the arcade versions. Console ports were more manageable.

I've only messed around with the demo on 360 but it seems fine. I'll buy it after the weekend and try and remember my old Sindel combos.

My buddy shared mk kollection with me and the online is a lag fest right now. The ports themselves are very good and i actually like scanlines in this game. It felt so good ripping out that bitch sonias heart in an enduro match after she beat me like 10 times. There are a few sound issues so hopefully they patch that and the lag. It would have been nice to see your characters moves on the border of the screen but i guess they didn't think about that.

The Mortal Kombat games aren't even lagging. They're literally running at half the frame rate or a variable frame rate when played online. The person I played with had a ping of around 38. That's essentially in my freaking city or near it. Played him and it STILL played like it was only at half speed. The offline is fine, but the online is busted big time.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011...rs-10-free-games-including-plants-vs-zombies/

Here's what is coming to PS Plus for the next month, as they've changed when they're posting the info:
Before we get to what’s coming to PlayStation Plus, we wanted to let you know that starting today, we’re making a slight change to how we communicate PlayStation Plus updates. Instead of posting twice per month on what’s coming to Plus, we’re going to be making one post that gives an overview of all the content that’s hitting Plus in that particular month. So today’s post will cover content coming in September, and the next post will hit in the first Monday of October. Of course, with every week’s Store Update post, you’ll know what’s going on the Store for Plus on that week.

Now to the good stuff! We’ve got some great content this month coming free to Plus subscribers including PopCap’s Plants vs. Zombies, the furious shoot-em-up Astro Tripper, and the final game in the SEGA Genesis Collection, Altered Beast. The value of all three of these titles adds up to more than a $24 savings, which doesn’t include the additional minis and PSone Classics you’ll get this month too. This month also marks a special occasion as we’re celebrating the Resident Evil 15th Anniversary with PSone Classics: Resident Evil Director’s Cut, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3, all free to PlayStation Plus subscribers starting 9/20, for 2 weeks only. In other PSone Classic news, Jet Moto will also be free starting tomorrow, 9/6.

On the discount side of things, Resident Evil 4 (releasing 9/20 on PSN) and Resident Evil Code Veronica (releasing on 9/27 on PSN) will be 50% off for Plus subscribers as part of the RE 15th Anniversary special. We’ll also offer for 1 week an additional 50% off select LucasArts PSP content on sale for PSN . Check the list below for all the titles in this lineup as well as the other discounts.

There’s tons more including new Full Game Trials, free themes and avatars; all will be coming on the dates noted below for September. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and enjoy!
