Ive been interested in this one for awhile since it was Bizarre Creations behind it. I thought it was a lot of fun, graphics and music were nice and I strongly prefer 3rd person shooters over 1st person - I always do much better when I can see my character on screen. I'll definitely pick it up, but Sega games always seem to drop $20 pretty soon after release so I don't know if it's a day one purchase.

I agree completely. I haven't played a game on my ps3 for months and don't even look at the psn store anymore. I really don't need to waste my money or time on what they have to offer. the only thing that really looks interesting is echochrome and who knows when that will be out.
 
I hope so, both the Hong Kong and Japanese stores have been getting updates this past week. Only the US store hasn't been updated since (I believe) December 20th. I realize that Christmas is a bigger deal here than in Asia but come on, at least make the PSN server automatically throw up some wallpapers or something.
 
Man I hope PixelJunk Monsters comes out tomorrow! I watched the trailer and have been playing Desktop Tower Defense a bunch.

And volume wise. I am really regretting gettting GH3 over Rock Band. I also think I would like the RB guitar better, as I have short stubby fingers. When RB comes out with just the guitar, I may sell GH3, and buy RB.

Possibly more boring than NFL Head Coach? I don't get how they have umpteen different football games, and still can't put out a CFL game. Yeah, I know how popular NFL, and how huge the population is in the USA, but really how many copies did Head Coach sell?

No, it still sucks because paying over $2 for a song is just stupid (I only own GH3).
 
Ah geez, what a way to start the year. Again there is nothing I feel at all compelled to download.

From a cost perspective I guess it's a good thing.

So thank you Sony for keeping me from spending money and also for saving my time from downloading stuff for PS3.
 
Played a little bit of NFL Tour and it seems like EA Sports Big is trying to do to the NFL what they did for the NBA license. The controls are ultra-simple and the gameplay is very much trying to emulate Blitz. The field is pretty much an AFL field, walls and all, but outside. There are no kickers, as kickoffs are long throws and extra points are just an extra play. The announcers know all their NFL memes (They are who we thought they were!), too. It's not bad, but I see why it's $40 out of the gate.

They way they've treated our versions of the sports titles they've released so far, they may as well just go exclusive on Xbox 360. I bought Madden 2007 when I got my system (July 2007), and I've only played it once or twice.

I don't forsee myself ever buying another EA Sports product, and as a gamer that's hard for me to believe I'd ever admit this.

You do know that after Madden, the rest of EA Sports' games have been the same on both consoles, right?

In Canada we are getting royally screwed. GH songs are $3.50, and Rock Band songs are $2 (I think they are only $1 stateside). What a crock, the dollar is basically at par.

WTF is that garbage with Rockband getting 30 seconds to mars and not gh3. God Im so freaking tempted to go get rockband right now Im so pissed off.
 
The GH prices are BS, compared to RB. Especially when you consider the fact that prepping the songs for RB involves double the work (+voice, +drums). Yeah, I will likely wait for RB to be plentiful in stores, then sell my GH3, and pick it up... actually, as soon as they produce a blue-tooth guitar I'll pick it up (for some reason that dongle makes me as made as the GH3 song prices).

I wouldn't hold your breath for a bluetooth guitar, as awesome as that would be. The wireless adapter isn't very obtrusive, anyway.
 
NFL Tour is awful. I downloaded, played it, and deleted it, all in about 10 minutes. I was looking forward to this game too. The gameplay and graphics are terrible. I think EA may be charging too much for this game even at $39.99.

I have hopes that both games will be awesome. I don't have any worries of DMC4 being awesome, I just want a demo to tide me over until the game comes out. Haze is done by Free Radical so I'm sure it'll be fine.
