if anyone, though this is the PC store, gets Beats, please post impressions... or else I will.
What I put in the Beats thread on the PSP forum.
I had no problem. It downloaded the first time right off the bat.

Only play the game on extreme. The other settings don't seem to fit the songs well at all. After loading up some Blood Brothers, Death from Above, At the Drive In, and a few others and playing on extreme this game is awesome for $5. By no means is it perfect, but its the first time I can play the stuff I really want to listen to in a game like this.

You can not lose a song, its just about getting a high score. The extreme setting is the only way to play. It plays like guitaroo man, but with songs you actually want to listen to.

Are there themes on the Japanese PSN? Or am I just clueless when it comes to finding them?
There's no neat organization of them at all. If you can find the PixelJunk Monsters folder, there's a theme in there, and the Mainichi Issho folder has one. You'll know you have the right one since it has a picture of the theme in the description.
Fixed it for you.
Really? I only found one, but maybe I should look again. The one I got sucks, so I may just skip it. The PixelJunk Monsters theme is really good.

There is one with a cloud background, and another with a blue background with many tiny little icons on it.

wow.. I love the Killzone theme... it's cool to see two new things introduced with the themese that just came out:

- Every time you access the XMB, the background pic changes (check the Killzone theme)

- Default sounds changed (Heavenly sword and one of the other themes which I forget).

The other theme is Ratchet and Clank Theme. I'm lovin' that one right now, the BG, icons, and changed sounds all flow nicely.

I bouth PAIN.

It is freakin' awesome.
I highly recommend.
Played two long hours last night and only meant to try it for 10 minutes.
So, any other bowling reviews? Does it use the Sixaxis motion controls at all? I'm tempted....this and PAIN may take $20 from me :)
Yes, the game lets you bowl using the motion controls. You hold the controller as if you're going to bowl (durr...) and your thumb naturally is set over the X button, which you'll use to pick the target and smoothly swing your controller to throw the ball. You'll get a hang of of in a matter of minutes. And the game is pretty fun and worth the ten bucks. The ability to play your songs is icing on the cake (why the hell do many games lack this feature? bleh).

As for Pain, it is addictively awesome and fun as hell. I love to get creative or just destroy the entire level. Farting on the hanging monkey will never get old.

I have no regrets for spending my 20 bucks on these two games. They're fun, highly addictive, and made for quick pick up and play. For those still on the fence for either one, don't be. Get em and you'll be hooked.

Thanks, I may have to bite the bullet on these two games....I guess I am in no hurry, so maybe I will wait a bit to see if a "sale" comes about....maybe an XMAS sale ;)

I didn't see that listed, but I did see three more yawners of PS1 titles, and a 5 minute preview video of Disgaea 3 in the JPN store yesterday morning.
What time (if they have one) on Thursdays do they update?
It's usually in the range of 12 PM - 3 PM Pacific Time

Maybe they'll be nice and give surprises.

It's nearly Christmas afterall!
I want a Red Ryder 200-shot carbine action Air Rifle demo!

Edit: Just noticed this about the NFS ProStreet DLC, it's all stuff you can unlock in the game, so they're just cheat codes you pay for.

$10 to unlock in-game stuff?

Wow. At least in the case of the PS3 (with a few exceptions, including Rock Band), you can copy save files from system to system to circumvent all that nonsense.
Also, Burnout is said to support the PS Eye somehow.
It takes your picture when you crash online, like a trophy pic for the person that took you down.

Fun game, and since it's online, we should get some CAGs together to fuck around online. I accidentally joined a freeburn game, which happened instantaneously, and some idiot kept following me and trying make me crash. I showed him what's what when I kept crashing myself.

The Super Stardust update is a big surprise. I wonder why I haven't heard anyone talking about it before. Split-screen is definitely a welcome addition. I found the standard multiplayer to be almost impossible. Add online co-op and I'll get it for sure.

Also, I didn't know the Burnout demo was online. Looking forward to getting that tonight.

YESSSSSSSS!
Crazy stuff.

Apparantly you can already purchase it.
First pre-order digital download?

What I heard with Burnout is if you have the PS Eye, when you win against someone online it takes their picture and shows you it.

Also you can take your picture and put it on your license, at least with the 360 version anyway. I'd assume they'd have that feature in the PS3 version.
Does anyone know if Burnout Paradise supports Logitech steering wheels? Like the G25?
The options mention wheel force feedback, so I'd guess that they should work.

Awesome news :D

...Pre-order...digital download....? Unless that gives you a couple weeks headstart on the content, that just sounds...odd...:whistle2:S

Pretty cool, glad they are changing the co-op, but still wish they would add online co-op. Probably will download it when it comes out tho.
What I heard with Burnout is if you have the PS Eye, when you win against someone online it takes their picture and shows you it.
It seems like if you have the PSEye, it will take your picture, and put it on your in-game drivers license.

Otherwise, it defaults to the icon you set for yourself on the PSNetwork.

The game is fun, but the in-game advertising is really distracting. I won't be picking it up for that reason. No in-game advertising for me, thanks.
Also you can take your picture and put it on your license, at least with the 360 version anyway. I'd assume they'd have that feature in the PS3 version.
That's true as well... DJ "Atomic" mentioned that if i'd had a camera, my driver's license would've had a better picture. :)

Fun demo... this looks to be a BIG game, too. (Not unlike the last Burnout, in terms of things and unlockables.)

Can you actually race people online or just compare stuff and screw around?

And is DJ Atomica the guy from SSX 3? They sound similar.
Started the demo. It's ok, but I'm not really liking the open world aspect though
I second that. I finally found an event, a burning run that I failed the first time. I had to drive back across the map to try the event again - who thought this was a good idea? Also, I wonder if CompUSA can withhold payment to EA for its hundred in-game billboards now that they're in liquidation mode.
