Not a great update for me (already have SSHD, K&L demo), but I love that they added the PSP games from the PC Store, so that those without PCs or us lazy gamers can buy this stuff easily and transfer it easily. May buy beats now since I wasn't interested in going through all the crap that the PC Store required.

What's the deal with the SSHD update? I didn't see a patch or anything, so I'm downloading the demo and of course it's going as slow as possible.

Edit: Nevermind, it turns out the demo is the patch. I installed it and no demo appeared, so I loaded the full game and it has the online store option, enhanced leaderboards, etc. It looks like it wasn't keeping track of the session time for older games though. Too bad.

Speaking of updates does anyone know when pixeljunk monsters and dark mist are coming out for the U.S.

I was thinking of getting the JP version since I have 1000 yen left, though if a local release is coming... I'd rather get it in a language I can fully understand

anyway thanks

It's supposed to be coming here later this month.

I don't see anything in the SSHD demo's description about an update. I see a mention of custom soundtrack, but that's it. It also mentions upgrading from the demo version to the full version of the game (probably what's already out) for $9.99.

Maybe I'll d/l Kane and Lynch this week. I just got done downloading NFL Tour, which I thought sucked royally. It's nice to see the PSP games in the store though.

Also maybe I'm just behind the times, but everytime I see the pricing for DLC each week, I'm shocked. I just can't seem to justify buying a couple more cars for 6 bucks.
I'm pretty certain Pixeljunk Monsters is coming out here. Haven't heard anything about Dark Mist, though.
PixelJunk Monsters comes out next week, according to the Official PS Site release date list.

Those who are wondering why you have to re-downloaded SSHD and there's no prompting you to download an update, it's because the game was created before the newer patch system was implemented on PS3 (which newer games use).

Just tried the first planet in SSHD and it seems like there are a bunch of little changes, like the saucer boss's shots now have little trails behind them, and your ship has sort of a gold glow. (Was that always there?) Also, I thought rumble in this had the potential to be weird and disruptive, but it's pretty well done. Plus when you go into weapon overdrive, it rumbles with every shot.

I'd definitely get SSHD over Everyday Shooter. ED is fun, but (and no disrespect to Jonathan Mak) totally overrated. And come on, you can only fire in 8 directions! I'd get it the next time it's on sale, if you're curious.

IMO, at first I thought Everyday Shooter was overrated and didn't find it all special, but after playing it for a while, I've grown to love it. I don't like the game as much as SSHD or even Blast Factor in ways, but I still had a lot of fun with it.

I actually hear the full version of Nucleus is better than the demo (which wasn't too good), but I'm waiting for a sale on it (lol, I buy way too much stuff off of PSN).

If there's any PSN game that disappointed me (or I find overrated), is flOw and somewhat LocoRoco (despite loving the PSP one).

Why is that bad?

Love the Guns N Roses trailer for Burnout Paradise.

Pretty sure PJ Monsters is next week.

There's a Dark Mist trailer in the EU store, hopefully come over soon.

I just bought Nucleus as I needed a new twin stick fix.
Pretty neat game actually.
I like that the levels are pretty varied and you have different objectives.

Nothing of note except for the aforementioned Motorstorm DLC. One download, two tracks, 500 Yen.

But, unlike this "once a week" crap in the US, JPN got two (count 'em two!) Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan demos on Monday/Tuesday.

IGN has PixelJunk Monsters dated on Jan 31st, which is a Thursday... But also the last day of the month so it could just be a place holder as they expect it to be released some time in Jan.

I'd put my money on the latter rather than the former. We've got three more updates, so there's time to guess when it'll be out.
I couldn't get the geisha to give me a massage.
Massage? I was hoping that I was building to a blow-jay. Oh well, I guess I didn't miss too much.
Ape Quest is a riot. I don't think I'll be spending $20 to get all the parts but the free prologue is definitely worth a try.
it's such an odd mix... it's like mario party and an RPG.
It's due out "sometime this month".
Hmm. The link you provided said:

It's called the Double Track Back, it includes "Eagle's Nest" and "Diamondback Speedway" and it's coming Jan. 10.

Maybe next week. Is anyone even still playing? I stopped for Uncharted among others but wouldn't mind going back when the new tracks are released.
Ape Quest is a riot. I don't think I'll be spending $20 to get all the parts but the free prologue is definitely worth a try.
I'll probably get it eventually. Big Ape Escape and RPG fan here. :) I enjoyed the battles, although I had some problems figuring out the mini-games. I was kind of glad to see a badminton game.
So is the dmc4 demo coming out thursday or am I getting my hopes up?
Getting your hopes up, but don't worry you aren't alone ;)

Two Motorstorm tracks are coming tomorrow for $2.99 (for both).

...$15 for Stranglehold content? I'd rather pay money for an "unlock key" DLC. Cripes.

As a Home beta tester I've been less than pleased with it so far. Though they are finally adding some of the stuff they keep talking about. You can finally put your own pictures in the picture frames in your house.

Oddly, I've researched the fuck outa Home, and yeah it's lacking but it's the exact type of game I want. In all games that have home customization, I totally forget the main game and work on my home design, so Home will make me very happy.

I saw something in the forums about dmc4 demo coming the 31th, and I think to myself whats the point of that just a few days before the game. Doesn't mean I still would't get the demo, but you understand where I'm going with this...

Yeah, I'm hoping once everyone else gets it, it'll get a lot better. It would be cool to have like a CAG party at someone's house.
what time does psn usually update?
USUALLY around 12-1 PM, BUT sometimes it stretches out to 2-3 PM Pacific time.
Arc the Lad III and Intelligent Qube Final hit the JPN PSN store today.
I want Arc the Lad games on the US store, that is, if Sony can pry the rights from Vic Ireland's cold, (presumably) dead hands.
