The Go! Sports games logo makes me think of a budget cell phone game. Shoulda focus grouped that 'un. Also, their last game was the drizzling shits, so I'm going to hold off all thought on Skydiving for awhile.

The Lost Planet demo is tiny (230MB). Yay.

Also, the JPN store has a Valentine's Day skin for Piyotama, which is free.

The only game in the entire Go! line of games that's any good is the Sudoku game and that's not a good sign since it's not even an original game. Their only saving grace is being cheap, so they can sucker people in with a cheape price than most games in the PS Store.
Do you download the Patapon demo to the PSP?
You download it to the PS3 first, then install it, start it up, and then it'll ask you to hook up a PSP to copy it over.

Strangely enough, the demo has to be tranferred over by the Japanese account you downloaded it with. If you had anything downloaded from your US account, say Ape Quest, you have to overwrite the certificate to work for the Japanese account, thus not letting you play the items you've downloaded from the US account. I haven't tried it out yet, but it looks like you can reverse that action by trying to copy over something from the US account and reverse the situation. If that confused you, the basic issue is that you have to switch off what account's downloadables you can access each time you want to switch. It seems to be an easy enough process, so it's probably not a huge deal.
Do you need the latest PSP firmware for the demo? I've been lazy about updating mine.
The Skype firmware? I don't have it and the demo works just fine, though I have the one before that, so it's somewhat recent.

Well, I copied the demo over with my JPN account and it says it can't run because the data is corrupted. I deleted it and tried it again, same error. Any ideas?

It could just be that my PSP is still 3.40 OE-A, but if it's a firmware issue, doesn't it usually tell you? Does 3.40 predate downloading games from PS3?

I don't follow custom firmware, so I don't know what you need to do.

I don't want to look up the upgrade process myself, so I guess I'll just wait till the game comes out and pick it up.

Changing subjects... the Lost Planet demo is pretty fun. I spent my first round mostly getting killed and trying to figure out what was going on, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. Looking forward to trying this out with some of you guys, although the matchmaking options are pretty limited in the demo. I'll definitely be getting the full version since I never played it on 360.

Does anyone know if the Lost Planet demo is the same as the 360 version in terms of what part you get to play? I'm still DL it though, just to see the difference, as I yet to actually buy it.

Go Sports Skydiving looks interesting, but I'm waiting for reviews. If it even remotely resembles the skydiving in Pilotwings, I'll buy it.

Lost Planet plays like I remember it.
I'll pick it up for the extra missions not on both other versions.
So glad the demo is tiny.
Patapon is AWESOME though, I need to figure out how to use the items. Anyone know?

You have to equip them before you start the mission, as you click on the group, then you can choose a weapon and armor, I believe. I don't know if you can equip anything during the demo since the end of the last mission ends the demo.

Thanks Crisis.

I'm not sure why you got that message, but I updated to 3.80 M33 from 3.52 M33 earlier this week. It was really simple if you want to do it, but I'm not sure if the firmware version is the problem.
Thanks Crisis.
It also looks like a few of the PSP games are on sale, with Wipeout Pure and SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo at $10.99 instead of $14.99 and Gangs of London at $12.99 instead of $19.99.

I thought the lost planet demo would be the campaing..ehh i didnt like the "Online" too much on this demo, took me like about 10 min. to find a room. For me lost planet is for single player, but thats just me. I wanna get the Crash games, but im waiting on those PSN cards badly.

Anyone having luck with Lost Planet? I had a lot of fun slaughtering inexperienced Japanese gamers with extreme prejudice last night. Why is the English version not working?

Did you delete the Japanese demo?

English online demo wasn't working for me :/

I found some games, tried to join EVERY SINGLE ONE and it kept giving me a "Full Room" or "Failed Connection". It said Full Room even though the slots were 6/8 or 5/8 and it only had one game setup in the US region

Same here. I think it's just broken.

Hey Myke, Echochrome is priced at 1800 yen for the PS3 version. That like $17 dollars (?). 3980 is $37 for the UMD version.

Sony hasn't come out and said what content will be on the UMD but I'm fairly sure they said the PS3 version won't have as much as the PSP.

And, remember this is for Japan so the regional prices are always going to be different.

I don't get it, I thought echochrome's camera-tilting mechanism was tied into the sixaxis controller, how/why are they doing a PSP version?

Oh good. That'll make play control less touchy. I was worried about that after the original videos.

Do rock band songs go on sale?I remember that the song "move along" and "dirty little secret" were .99 and I bought them today and they were 1.99!I should have bought them when they were for .99.

There was an article on Joystiq a few weeks back that a few songs had been released at the .99 price point, but since everything sells so well, they are basically upping the price and keeping it at 1.99. They did mention that several "lesser known" bands have the option to come out at .99, but the majority of releases will now see the 1.99 price point.

Sigh. LP still isnt working.

Its kind of making me wonder if I should get the game.. if the demo is having this many problems.. three weeks to launch..

They are going to replace the demo with a better one soon.
Been playing Crash 3, and man i recommend getting it, Its that damn good still after all these years.
Crash 3 was THE ONLY game I ever went for a 100% completion on, but I had to stop at gold because obtaining Platinums were ridiculously hard, in fact, I think I only got one...
What happen to the lost planet demo? -_-
Is it off the store already? They said they were going to take the bad one down and replace it soon with a better one.

The multiplayer demo for Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is temporarily being removed from the PlayStation Network in order to address issues that have come to light. We will be working overtime to correct the issue and expect to upload a new version to the PlayStation Network as soon as possible that accurately reflects the incredible online features of the game. For those of you who have already downloaded the demo, the servers are being taken down until the new version is ready to go. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and your interest in Lost Planet! Keep an eye out here for more info…
