SWEEEET. I hope they continue their AL bias, the wankers. ;)

BTW, guys, Home suuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. Don't get your hopes high.
But it'll suck for free .;)

Also, the beta lacks integration and lots of people (It's still a private beta at the moment).

It's the all in one integration I'm looking for that Home should bring.
Not really Home itself, though I'm sure I'll play around with it for a bit, since like Rich mentions, it's free shit.

Oh, get off it. It sucks. The arcade sucks, my apartment sucks (rent is cheap, though), the theater sucks (oh, look! Rampart is playing!), the customization is not something I'm interested in, and it's a fancy-ass front end that will be irrelevant the very second in-game XMB is implemented.

Also, the trophy room silliness is just fuckin' dumb. It's an attempt to rip off Cheesemints and gamerscores, but it's buried so deep in this dumbass Sims Online social world front-end that it isn't immediately accessible and difficult to compare. Meanwhile, you can click on my gamertag on this very page and go and see the meager accomplishments I've had on my 360.

Home will be a failure.

According to the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine GTA 1, GTA 2 and Street Fighter Alpha are all coming to PSN very soon.

(Just figured I would add this since I just saw it in the gaming news)

Ha ha , true .

Speaking of the Sims rip-off-ness of it , I hope they add the ability to neglect my avatar enough so he shits his pants and burns down my apartment complex .
Home is rumored for next week due to the GDC. People expect the floodgates to be open once Sony announces a ton of interesting stuff during the conference.
There is that same fuck rumor every time there is a gaming convention.

I wonder what happened with the LP demo. Everyone used to make a big deal about how serious Sony was about their review process, how did it come out so bad then? Wonder if they started allowing companies more responsibility so things get out more timely and this happened.

Also cool to see more devs actually doing in-game soundtracks on their own.

Home would be a cool surprise. It's been "coming soon" for so long it's dropped off my anticipation list. I don't have huge expectations that it'll be some revolutionary new service, but I'm definitely a sucker for customizing stuff, as ACWW taught me. And it's free, so I can't complain.

I'll be getting myself some GTA 2, that game was pretty damn good for a top down experience. Thankfully they corrected the controls in 2 from the crap they had in the original GTA.

Is that PSP demo folder new? I only remember a full PSP games folder that contained all demos and full games. There's a bunch of demos in there for:

Patapon
MLB 08
SOCOM: Tactical Strike
Harvey Birdman
Puzzle Guzzle
Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow

Twisted Metal: Head On's been added to the PSP Games folder for $15.
anyone notice the lost planet demo is back up? it still doesnt work.
Works fine for me. Granted I only tried one game. No voice chat though.
Works fine for me. Granted I only tried one game. No voice chat though.
It has voice chat if the matchmaker sets it as the option.

I had a punk little kid laughing as he kept destroying me with a shotgun.

I forgot how much I hated the controls, even with inverting the Y-axis.

it was a ok update this week. Since Sony is picking up steam, NPD sales and stuff show it outsold the ps2,360 etc etc, sony should be smart on releasing home in may. With GTA IV in april, NOTHING that i can find in may, and MGS4 possibly shooting for june(according some gamestop stores) i can see sony winning this year.

Thanks for the great updates. :applause:

It saves me gaming time instead of searching thru the PS network to see what is new. Keep it flowing...

I don't usually buy baseball games, and haven't bought them in years. I played a few games of EA's version on 360 a year or so ago, and remembered why. But I d/l'd 'the show', can was really impressed. The graphics look great, and I loved the mechanics.... except for pitching.

I'd pick this game up if I had any friends (locally who would play it with me.) Where i live now, basesball/fastball are not very popular at all. I don't see myself playing a season by myself.

Can someone explain that crazy power metre?

I don't believe EA's ever made a baseball game for the 360, just PS2 and maybe Xbox for their last two college baseball games. It was probably the 2K baseball game if it was on the 360.

Do you mean the pitching meter? It's fairly simple once you get the hang of it. After you pick the pitch and location, you hold down the button to start the meter and if you let it fill up, the pitch will have full power behind it, and it'll go back down towards a bar. If you hit the button on the bar perfectly, the pitch will hit the location perfectly, if not, you will have let it go of the ball too early or too late and the pitch misses accordingly. If you hit the location perfectly a few times, the bar will get bigger and become easier to hit, while if you keep missing it, it'll eventually disappear and require you to get a good location consistently to get back into the right rhythm of that pitch.

Right Frisky? It also makes it tougher to hit the location bar on the follow through.

I don't know for sure, but that's probably true.

Anyone know how to purchase stuff off the UK PSN store?
I can't resist not having Bust-A-Groove anymore.

Maybe I'll just go to ebay.
But I want to play now. :(

EDIT: WTF, it sells for 60-70 on ebay?
Ah man.

Yeah, must have been the 2k one. my (only) baseball fan friend and I played it a couple times. I'd pick up the The Show for sho' if he still lived here, but unfortunately how now lives on exact opposite side of country.

Thanks for the pitching tips. I noticed that some pitches don't seem to have the 'white line' after it starts coming back down. For those, do I just stop it close to the bottom? I can't believe there was no tutorial or tip on this.

For the JP and HK stores, online shops sell the prepaid cards for the respective store. I've never seen prepaid European cards. It sucks that it's not on the US store, it got a domestic release, I wonder if it had the same publisher.

No, there should be a hot zone where the line was where you need to hit that larger area consistently to get the line to come back.

It's a standard mechanic in baseball for several years now, so it's expected for people to have experienced it by now. I imagine it'll be there in the full game.

Are you guys running low on space with all these game demos? My 60G is getting under 20G of remaining space.

I would love to have ALL the demos on my HD. I deleted some demos and the space free didn't go up much. I wonder if the Demos leave some files behind after you delete?

No, don't buy the disc! It doesn't work on the PS3.

It boots, it runs, but the timing is off and the game is unplayable. I would love access to a Euro account, because I have to believe the version they're selling is fixed.

I've tried Bust A Groove with a wired controller, via remote play, and with a Sixaxis. Equally broken on all. Bust a Groove 2 is marginally better in that it is sometimes briefly playable, but it has the same issues.
