Who else plays Urban Dead?

Sounds good, since you're the best at this Crotch perhaps you can setup which buildings we'll use as HQs for now. I should be able to make my way over there today.

Nice Wiki you got going there HotShot, so who should be our leaders? You and Crotch?

Sounds good. Can we have a leader from Saskatchewan, though?

Damnit: Your IP address has accessed this server too many times today.

:( And I have 37 action points waiting to be used up. :( Guess I'll be there tomorrow.

Zombies move like absolute shit until they get their movement upgrade. If you're close to our location, I've got a syringe for you. I can always restock on the NecroTech building just to my northeast. If not, find a revive point on the Wiki. If you run into a group of humans, "Mrh?" is widely recognized Zomb-ish for "Revive me, please."

Also, never rest outside. That is total suicide.

Oh, and shuttup Mike, you no-Grey-Cup-winning not-Saskatchewanian!

EDIT: Okay, I'm stuck in the NecroTech building for a bit on account of the 20 AP it takes to make a syringe. For any of you recently zombified, there's a revive station being run in the Southall Mansion directly south east of my position. It's a massive place - as big as four normal buildings.

im on my 3rd damn charracter ( 2 have been killed) and i took someones advice here and made the 3rd a fireman. you run out of ap too fast in this game and wtf is with every damn building being barracaded? but i finally got my first hit on a zombie with the axe. definelty a good choice.

If you check the wiki, you'll see that each district has a "Barricade Plan" that dictates which areas are to be "Extremely Strongly Barricaded", and which areas next to them are to be "Very Strongly Barricaded" (i.e. enterable by humans w/o free-running).

In addition, some maps make note of known revival points, heal points, etc.

ill check that out now then since i cant go anywhere lol. thanks for the heads up.

HotShot is correct. The hospital that he is currently in is always supposed to be at "Very Strong". this map shows you each suburb of the city (though there are other maps out there that give a detailed view of the suburb - you'll need to look at those a fair bit). The different colours show the threat level of each suburb - green is safe,

The different colours show the threat level of each suburb - green is safe, red is doom, and right now we're somewhere in between. Once we gather together we can start working on what we want to do, but I recommend working on Shuttlebank soon. It's got a good pile of zombies in it, but most of them are feral. Lots of police departments, NT buildings, and fire stations. Only one hospital, though.

How many AP should be saved up until you start moving? again, I'm on my way, but I'm low on AP and in Richmond Hills.

I'm unclear on the meaning of the question. If you're low on AP and in a safe spot, rest for the night - you get one AP every half an hour, so you'll be good to go in the morning. If you have the AP and you know you can reach some buildings with AP to spare, then go for it. But make sure you have a bit of extra just in case you run into some that are too strongly barricaded for you to enter.

Let that be a lesson to all of you, especially those of you who have multiple accounts: too many clicks = no more playing for you!

In retrospect, I probably should have warned you guys in advance.

I only have one account, but I refreshed often because I wasn't sure if it did it automatically (if someone comes into the room or something). Does it?

No, it doesn't. You need to refresh to see any new updates.

Once school starts, I'm going to try to burn 30-40 AP in a single sitting, unless we have something planned as a group. Instead of pumping out 4-5 AP whenever I can.

I added Jonathan Ingram (yukine) to my contact list. Everyone should add "Cheap Ass Survivors" to their profile in game (Settings > Group) if human, and "Cheap Ass Corpses" if undead.

Also, I have 7 First Aid Kits (FAKs) to use, some of you need to get hurt or start shooting one another. I need XP :)

Finally, ColdShotX is currently in Judgewood, smashing down a heavily barricaded Perceval Building along with 8 other zombies on scene, and 15 in the surrounding areas.

I'll try it out. I'm a cop called wooko32. It looks interesting.

Edit: I'm in Lamport Hills and will join up with you guys sometime tomorrow. Also, I found a book. what am I supposed to do with it, pass time?

Edit2: Now I found a bottle of beer and a mobile phone...

Edit 3: NM, figured it out.

Remember, if you get surrounded by zombies, just shoot an EMP into the middle of them - you might not hit them, but at least they'll all get teleported the fuck outta there.

I ended up making all the way to the Garnsey Building in Yagoton. Some rat bastard zombie infected me, though. Anyone have a FAK?

I've got 8. If you can make it to St. Matthews in East Boundwood, I can help you. I'm about 7-8 moves North/Northeast of you.

Update: Damnit, out of boredom, I ran to your location, and someone else already healed you. fuck. Oh well, I added you to my friend's list. Do the same to me, and then you go and get injured so I can heal you. I'll run back to St. Matthew's later today.

~HotShotX

Sorry, I was stuck going to school. I'll run to St. Matthew's once I've accumulated the turns.

Well there's 2 Zombies outside the hospital, so I don't know if I can go inside.

Edit: Oh crap, went to the wrong hospital! Now I'm asleep outside....wish me luck.

Edit 2: I'm dead. Just made another character and will try again to reach the hospital. It's booko32

Alright, booko32 made it to the hospital. Yay.

Added: yukine, Mike23, aTOH. Don't know if all the people in the hospital are CAGs or not.

Added you and Mike. Just go through the thread and add all of us, we should probably compile a list for reference.

I was thinking we could use the Firefox extension Peekko, just instead of using it at the Urban Dead site we can use it here on CAG. If you don't know what Peekko is, it's basically an IRC client that allows you to turn any site into a channel. It'd be easier to plan out attacks and what have you that way instead of having to make a post here and so on.

You didn't need to make another character, just find a revive point somewhere in the city and someone will revive you from zombiehood.

As for joining the group. Go into Settings, and type Cheap Ass Survivors into the Group input.

That's true, but I kinda screwed up my first character anyway.

I went ahead and compiled a list of our members, we currently have 11 members including myself:

CAG Username - Urban Dead Username

HotShotX - HotShotX
rodeojones903 - Pahn
$hady - Shady DeVille, ScaryBigwords
jer7583 - PotbellyPunch
aTOH - jayTOH
doctorfaustus - Booknerd
Mike23 - MikeF3223
The Crotch - Timur Leng
suko_32 - booko32
yukine - Jonathan Ingram
getmeoutofjoliet - Dick Weiner

Sorry if I missed you, I also updated the CAS wiki: http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Cheap_Ass_Survivors

I'll try to keep everything up-to-date, but I'd rather someone else take over the Cheap Ass Corpses wiki and the zombie side of things in general. I have no intention of playing a zombie yet.

well if you see a guy names Lokizz dont kill me or anything lol. so far though alot of the folks in the game are helpful ive been healed by 2 diff people although i swear this chick in there was looking to kill me before i lucked out and ducked into a police station.

There are some PKers out there, yes, and even PKer groups. PKing groups can be a big threat on account of their ability to bypass barricades and use heavy weapons like shotguns, but on the plus side, they're a little easier to fight than zombies. Killing a PKer is usually a pretty strong deterrent on account of it turning them into a zombie.
So, to get revived I have to wait at a revive point and hope that someone will find and revive me?
It's not as bad as you think. Most revive points are visited very often by multiple people each day. And of course, I can use syringes and all other NecroTech machinery.

Lol, so far I've been killed and turned into a zombie overnight, clawed at by a fellow zombie, and have not spoken to any other character.
Plus, it's going to take me days to get to the base.

Hang in there, once we get everyone up to speed, we can tear out a piece of our own territory and set up shop.

Yukine, thanks for compiling the CAG list, I'll update the Wiki page. $hady, I'm only going to put one of your chars on the wiki page, to help keep you off the multi radar :) I currently have Shady Deville listed, let me know if you'd like that changed.

Can someone here do up a good image for us? The CAGcast picture just doesn't feel right. I'm thinking have Wombat in full WLA gear, and put a rifle in Cheapy's hand instead of a microphone. Oh, and give him stubble.

Also, I'm working on cleaning up the wiki a bit right now.

EDIT: Nevermind. HotShot's working on it, I think. I'll see what he does then I'll pop in.

Done for now, I added a memberlist, and no, I don't have any photoediting skills for the CAS logo.

I think CheapyD and Wombat in some "Urban Survival" gear would be pretty pimp.

CheapyD: Stubble, maybe a Flak Jacket, & Shotgun
Wombat: WLA Gear and Pistol

Represent.

EDIT:
c1pher GG said "Anyone who's down with Cheapy D is good with me, welcome HotShotX"

Heh, yeah, looks like we're a bit known.

I just signed up, joined the CAG Survivors in the settings, and fell asleep in Heytown. Any tips on what to do next, or meet up with some CAG's? I want in!

Use the wiki to get brought up to speed on game mechanics, etc.:

http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Main_Page

Aside from that, we are 3 districts northwest of you, in East Boundwood, at St. Matthew's Hospital. Save up some AP, and get to running. :)
