We're just getting supplies and leaving. If you don't have the "shopping" skill. you'll have a 25% chance of getting an item. If you have it, the chance is the same, but you can narrow your search significantly. I'll be back tomorrow to get in and bring down the barricades for you guys. We can spend our AP getting gear - fire axes, knives, medical kits, GPS units, binoculars, pistols, shotguns, clips, shells, spray paint, crowbars, and generators are all useful items. We'll still want to get fuel cans, flak jackets, syringes, and DNA scanners, but we'll have to look elsewhere for those. You can ignore everything else.
Melee weapons are great things to have - knives are accurate, axes (best melee weapon) are powerful, and crowbars get an accuracy bonus Vs barricades. Guns only really come into play once you get enough EXP to get some accuracy-related skills. Spray paint is for mass messaging. GPS units help movement. Binoculars let you see far away when in certain buildings. Generators are just plain crucial, but need fuel.
