Who else plays Urban Dead?
No, I'm outside. It's Extremely Heavily Barricaded. I've hit the barricades with my axe and it says "It creaked" or "You smashed the barricade". I have 10 AP left...
Get inside St Matthew's Hospital, if you can.

Also, isn't free running supposed to get us inside easily, if were already inside an adjacent building?

~HotShotX

Free running allows you to move between adjacent buildings regardless of barricades.

Don't bother trying to take the 'cades down from the outside until you get higher accuracy/numbers. Just get inside for now.

It's Heavily Barricades. Can I take the barricades out with my axe?

EDIT: I think I got it down to Very Strongly Barricades or someone else did because I was able to get in and fall asleep.
Technique, which character will be your main? I'd like to have your most used character on the roster on the wiki.
Hopefully Morgan Backus.

Ok, just checking. I think it'd be a good idea not to join the group with alternate characters (I know you havent, just for future reference.)

I'm outside of the hospital again... I was going to start attacking the mall and then I read knives don't work so I'm useless.

Let Crotch handle the cades, just save up your AP (you only need 1 or 2 for tonight)

I got stuck outside, because some asshole is overbarricading everything. I'm dead, but I don't think I was ever infected?

We'll see. 2 AP points till I can stand up.

all this over barricading crap really does screw the game up.more than anythign that will lead to your death because youre stuck trying to find somewhere to go and everything is closed. i know i can attack barricades with my axe but at the same time i dont know how many hits it takes to get them down to enterable level. but so far ive been pretty lucky.still wish i had more ap and exp though i want to get a new ability. btw whats the best ability to get when you reach the point where you can finally get one?
Not only is having alts together very much Bad Form (it's called "Zerging" in the game), you are actually penalized for it. Your attacks, searches, etc. are less succesful if you're too close to one of your own alts.

We're not allying up with anyone, right? A person from the MCDU offered, but I'm not quite sure what our group goal was.

EDIT: I have 9 AP and no items, so I'm down for the move right now.

Opps, I think I might of accidentally attacked you or Ivan Hood with my axe, LOL. It missed luckily though so it's alright. I forgot to select barricades when attacking...

EDIT: Do you mind changing my main to Morgan Reese because my other one is way too far away?

Sorry, can't take the barricades down. I wasted too damn much just trying to find an entry point. Tomorrow at this time, alright?

What's the MCDU?

EDIT: Malton Civil Defense Unit. We'd have to talk it over, but I don't particularly feel like associating us with them.

Yeah, I'm not particularly interested in forming alliances right now. CAG currently has enough talent to operate on its own for the time being.

Also, as Crotch mentioned, tomorrow at 10PM EST will be the entry time for the mall. Be online then.

I'm gonna stockpile some AP before I stand up. Can I get in Southall Mansion? I'll need healing, but I do have one FAK. I also purchased Free Running.

Last time I passed by (this morning), the doors were wide open. Unfortunately, the area around it was pretty barren. No players or zombies, and no trails.

If that's the mansion that I'm thinking of, then it's always unbarricaded.
What items should I have checked in my Settings if I'm a Fireman?
Here's a detailed list of notable things - though not all are worth keeping. This list is made specifically for firefighters. Some things are universal (flak jacket, etc.), but some things are specific to that class.

Knives. Not really useful, since you have an axe and axe training. Knives are mostly used by humans trying to destroy generators (see: death cultists, GKers). So far, that doesn't include us.

Crowbars. Their accuracy is not reduced against barricades, so they can be good in an emergency. However, their weight-to-usefulness ratio is not so good, as they suck as weapons. Get if you really want.

Pipe. Crappy weapons, but it allows unskilled survivors to make barricades. Another emergency thing, as I'm the only one that can build barricades right now.

Pistols & clips. A good firearm, but the fire axe is your best bet early on. Still, it never hurts to have these + bullets on hand. I carry four, and seven clips.

Shotguns & shells. Twice the damage of pistols, a million times the complications. They only hold two shells, and their reload rate is abysmal. Find ammo can also be a real pain. I carry seven, and no extra shells.

First Aid Kits. AKA "FAKs" or "Medkits". Certain skills definitely improve your ability to use them, but it's always good to have them.

Flak Jackets. Not found in malls, but they protect you from PKers. They reduce damage from firearms by 20%.

Flare Gun. Emergency weapon (do not fire into the air) only. Probably not worth it.

Radio receiver/transmitter. Not really worth it.

Generator. Heavy, but needed to power buildings. Powered buildings are easier to search, and certain ones have other advantages. We can probably ignore these for now.

Fuel. Needed to keep generators going. Doesn't hurt to have some on hand.

Phones. Nearly useless.

Binoculars. Semi-useful. If used in tall buildings, you can see what zombies are doing up to four blocks away.

Syringes. Most of you guys can't use them. Needed to bring players back from the dead. I have two on me.

DNA Scanner. Often used in tandem with syringes, as it can be used to avoid "rotters" who can not be revived with syringes.

Spray can. Leaves messages on the wall. Fairly useful, but not everyone needs them.

Oh! I am a zombie. Brains, and such. If I go into Southall, I'll be revived?

EDIT: It's been going on 5 hours with no revive. Do I have to request it?

Also, Adam Carolla tried to PK me.

damn you really need to check this stuff off and on. damn zombies broke down the barricades at the yapp street police station and luckily the attacked other people before being driven off. and even luckier for me they must have ran out of ap attacking the place because 7 of them were still outside so i got in some xp ( up to about 73 or 75 exp) and i killed a zombie.

then i booked it to a better barricaded fire station nearby where hopefully ill be safe. if youre in that area and have ap to waste theres still 6 zombies in front of the station and another at another building nearby. definetly a good place to level up at.

Well, that hospital PK this morning really ruined my day (in UD, that is). I stood up, got killed waiting for a revive, and now I have just enough AP to stand (took a headshot). I guess I will hold off until the next raid--sorry guys.
Shit. I can do the hospital or the revive, but not both.
We don't need to be in the Hospital to enter the mall, we have to be in the NE mall space while Crotch knocks down the barricade. I opt for that.

Everyone come to the userplane.com chat room (CAS) so we can coordinate this properly.

~HotShotX

You're dead outside the hospital, Ivan? When Geno gets up, I'll come by and revive you two.

EDIT: Maybe. I dunno what the hell is going on at this point.

There's 3 of us in the chat waiting to enter the mall. We want in.

~HotShotX

Fine, fine. I'll head to the mall right now.

EDIT: fucking hell! Shit, shit, shit. Wasted AP trying to solicit help from people. Accuracy nerf meant that I couldn't take the barricades right down. You guys only need one or two hits to take it from the outside, so go at it. Guns and knives don't work. Damage done is irrelevant - a hit is a hit, so go for accurate attacks.

I know this is a double post, but...

THE MALL BARRICADES ARE DOWN FAR ENOUGH THAT YOU CAN WALK IN! IT'S THE NORTH-EAST CORNER! GOGOGOGOGO!

Awesome raid, I now possess the following:

Mobile Phone
Cricket Bat
Shotgun (0)
First Aid Kit (6)
Portable Generator (2)
Spray Paint (2)
Crowbar (2)
Flare Gun (2)
Knife
Toolbox
Fireaxe

~HotShotX

Not bad, not great. Don't really need gennies, but they're good in emergencies. Heavy, though.

How are the rest of you doing? And how much AP have you guys used?

EDIT: Kickass, HotShot.

EDIT2: Forgot about toolboxes. Hang on to that one.

EDIT3: Spray gun? Is that spray paint?

I think I had the worst luck of the group. Think I had 40 AP before smashing the cades, and 30 to search around. I got

Toolbox
Portable Generator
Mobile Phone
Kitchen Knife
Spray Can
Pistol

It's not really luck. I'm a Consumer, so I get to pick the store I raid. Hence, I spent 30 AP in the Hardware Store.

Lots of generators. Odd.

For the record, you guys have a 25% chance of picking up an item here. It would be higher if you had certain skills, and lower if there was no power in this place.

Those of you with the "Shopping" skill should check the Wiki to see what's in each store.

Hi, Joliet. Check the map in the wiki and work your way up to Bale Mall where we've massed. Read any article on the wiki that catches your eye. Make sure you list your group as "Cheap Ass Survivors" and give us your profile link so we can add you to the wiki.
