Who else plays Urban Dead?

What's up, and welcome aboard, JolietJake. As The Crotch said, the UD wiki has all the info and pointers you'll need, but feel free to ask us questions.

I suggest getting the Urban Dead Toolbar if you're using Firefox. The interface is sweet, and much more appealing than without.
 
Added your profile to our wiki page. And I hope you fell asleep inside a barricaded building, Joliet - sleeping outside is suicide. Also, stay out of Ridleybank.
 
Unofrtunately no, i was outside. I'm waiting 30 minutes and hoping no one gets me. Thats what you get for not keeping an eye on your AP.

I might give it a spin and see if the two can be used together.

Long shot, but if anyone is near St Matthew's and can revive me I'll stand up, otherwise I'll just keep collecting AP and wait... no sense in wasting 10AP and getting killed again.
 
Is St. Matthews is a designated revive point? If so, you're 95% safe standing there as a zombie.

Also, I've been playing around with our wiki page like crazy. Will eventually add a "clan history" section, but we're far too new for that.

Uh, what's up with the Anemones of the CAS? Is there another definition for anemone, or is it a UD term? I'm not getting it =/
 
Damn I hate being a noob fire axe and searching for bullets that always miss sucks ass it's taking forever to level up. Now I can't get inside since all the damn buildings are over barricaded including the hospital... Missed the whole mall raid thing since the website was down and I was at work anyway so.... :D

At least my doctor is doing good at gaining exp by scanning z's and etc. Hopefully someone revived him today as he died after having all the barricades broken down yesterday.

Edit: Saw and added then added Booknerd to my contacts. Thanks if anyone here knocked down the cades to very strong. Hopefully Book can get back inside as well now.
 
I got clawed and lost some health but i'm still alive, currently held up in St Dorotheus's Church in Pimbank. I'll try making my way further north tomarrow, hope to make it to the HQ.

The closest appear to be in Yagoton so I may try and make my way there tomorrow when I get some more AP, assuming I don't get killed again.

And dead again... that was a wasted 5 hours. Going to stock up my AP and head to one of the Yagoton RPs; I'll probably be able to meet up with you guys on Sunday.

crazy xombie situation earlier at the yapp police station. place had 9 zombies at it. 8 outside 1 inside all the people inside i think were out or asleep so i went in to get exp and once i saw a zombie was in with them i closed the doors, all i could do since i cant barricade, and tried to kill some of them but for the 25 ap i used i only landed maybe 4 or 5 hits. im gonna wait till i get my ap up to 40 and either go out again to see if i can finally get my exp up to 100 so i can buy a new skill or just try and make my way to where you all are located.

those people are probably screwed bigtime i think the majority of zombies used their ap to tear down the barricades since when i was last there they were very strongly barricaded. but that time i went back the place was wide open. you really have to be careful where you hold up. guess its a good thign to see the skills of the people in the place with you that way you know some of them can barricade and repair things.
 
Okay, the barricades are back up now, obviously. They're gonna go down again today, though. See sig for details. Also, what's up with haifinnesoup? Just joined Urban Dead and my name is Crazy Dylan.
Right now I'm holed up in Coxon auto repair with two other guys.
Where should i go to meet up with some other people?

id say go with the fireman because you get an ax and it comes in pretty handy when leveling up. i had 2 characters before i did the fireman both with guns and i never got a decent hit in with the guns ever and ended up running out of bullets everytime.
 
Firemen are good, though I don't think we have anyone besides me with any sort of NecroTech experience. Make sure you guys list Cheap Ass Survivors as your group in your profile and give us a link to said profile.

EDIT: Read the UD Wiki. A lot. And the maps. We're currently on the southern edge of East Boundwood. We're split between the Bale Mall and some hospital beside it. Whatever you guys do, don't get stuck outside without AP and don't get stuck in Ridleybank. Also, you can enter any building with barricades up to Very Strong - anything heavier than that is a no-go.

I got killed over night in the church. I understand that moving as a zombie is slower or something? I need a revive point somewhere in pimbank.

We're using the .58b version of UDToolbar, just in case you're trying to use the .4x stable version. If that doesn't work, try closing your FF and trying again.

EDIT: Oh, the site's down. Guess that's what you meant. I'll go see if I have the xpi file on hand.

Are we still accumulating in East Boundwood? A move elsewhere might be good, I'm tired of the bastards near St. Matthews.

Vinetown seems good. Plenty of PDs, a mall, a hospital, a revive point.
 
So, you can't even right click and save to desktop? If you can't, I could send you the file through AIM or something.

And yeah. We're currently still using EB as our temporary HQ before setting out to find another. We just entered Bale Mall yesterday night to stock up on iems before doing so. Vinetown seems nice enough, though it'll take a couple days to get there. Are you there right now, Mike?

I have free running, so I went to the mall earlier. Got a few good items, including a portable generator.

I'm willing to move ahead of everyone if need be. We could go to Chancelwood, to Tollyton, to Vinetown, thus avoiding any overly dangerous areas.

I am in HeyTown right now, tommorow I could always try and find a good hideout if you guys are gonna try and move out.

EDIT: I know that it balances the game and makes it strategic, however I really wish they would add more AP, I really want to play more but I can't do anything until tommorow.
 
If we're going to move, we will have to decide on it quickly. I anticipated spending one more day here before moving south, as a large number of people have not been able to enter the mall yet.
 
I think I might be dead by morning. I was holed up inside a very defended PD with about 50 other guys, but we got attacked by zombies and fled with very few AP. I got to a nearby hospital and entered it with my last AP. It wasn't terribly defended though and there were zombies moving about.

Quick question: how do we go about joining the clans? I've got two built-up characters - a human and a zombie - but I've never bothered with a clan in the game before. :)

Enter "Cheap Ass Survivors" into the Group box input in your settings. Don't do this for your zombie though, only the human. Use "Cheap Ass Corpses" for the zombie.

What an odd graffiti in the mall.

My searches have got me a shotgun (nice) and a portable generator.

If we don't want to go as far as Vinetown, Shearbank looks good.
