Who else plays Urban Dead?

Barricades are only one above Very Strong, so one shot will knock them down to a point where we can all walk in. Also worth noting: if you head straight southwest from the Bale Mall, there are plenty of VSB buildings surrounded by zombies.

I have a crowbar and 7 AP, I'll give it a quick shot.

Edit: No luck, and I need to stop wasting AP :)

On my way to St Eutychian's right now.

EDIT: I don't know if anyone has said this, but when I was coming into the hospital I saw that there were 8 zombies at Hallet.
Explain. What did you do?
I was a private, went to the "one low groaning sound one block south"

And it turned out to be a huge following of zombies moving together.

Needless to say it wasnt fun -_-V
just started out... can you only upgrade when you get 100 points?.. and how long do you guys wait until you play again?
yeah with every 100 exp you get you can buy a new skill. its up to you when you play but overall you have to wait to build your ap up you get 2 every hour. your best bet is to wait till you get your ap full , find a good place to level up at ( decently barricaded safehouse with zombies near enough to kill but not too near) and get your exp up. once you get the hang of things its not too difficult a game just annoying with how many misses you get per every bit of exp you gain.

Now that we have St. Eutychian's Hospital, a usual day for a CAS member would be best utilized in the following manner:

10 AP to move, exit and reenter buildings, heal, etc.
40 AP to attack the zombies right outside. (+1 XP per damage dealt, +10 XP per kill)

On other days we may need someone to hunt for fuel, but the auto shop is 2 blocks away and easily accessible. With the Hallett, Hospital, and AutoShop barricaded properly, someone with Freerunning could get all the fuel we need without risk of injury.

I updated the Wiki with a more thorough history of our origins on UD (we still need someone to write the origins of the CAG forums themselves).

I'll probably still be zombified when i get there so please make sure not to kill my rotting ass. A revive would be nice for anyone who can.

It sucks moving as a zombie, effectively cuts your AP in half since it's 2 AP for every move.

I'm at the hospital. I attacked a zed at Pirrie Way and it is down to 14hp, so finishing it off should be easy. I also have a can of fuel I've been lugging around since the beginning.

Also, is there a way to give items to other players? I ask because I have an extra knife.

Get to outside the hospital, and ask "Mrh?" a time or two. It's universally recognized as "Revive me".

There is no way to give items to other players.

I knocked him down to 4 HP, and I think you meant Pirrie Park.

Someone finish him!!!

I finished him off, but there's another one.

Crotch, looks like we've gotten our official welcome to Darvall and a bit of a notice that Hallett is available.

I'm not entirely up for joining any alliances full time, but I think it'd be best at least to say that while we want to work alone for now, we're certainly friendly to other survivor groups that need shelter, assistance, etc.

~HotShotX

Feel free to attack the horde of zombies between the mall and our current location. Just make sure you have the AP to enter the hospital.

Ice2Dragon: Groaning indicates two things: there are zombies there, and there are humans there. The louder the groan, the more humans. In your case, it was a low groan, so the number of humans was minimal. Groans are generally used to rally feral zombies to attack buildings.

EDIT: Interesting, HotShot. That's the most tempting offer so far, though anything that keeps us locked in to one suburb worries me. We will have to think of a more permanent roll for the clan as we get higher in levels, though. Do we defend a specific suburb/area? Do we go around busting sieges? Do we target PKing clans?

That's why I want to say we're "survivor friendly", but we bear no alliance. I'm all for taking up residence here to get our group up to speed, and we can stay as long as the zombies hold out (Darvall is a pretty infested area).

My suggestions are as follows (and by no means do we ever need to consider this permanent):

1. We take up Hallett as HQ.
2. We assist other survivors/groups but by no means are we "obligated" to do so.
3. We seek the battle (Clear Seiges, Go Zombie Hunting)
4. Protect the Innocent (Anti-PK group).
5. Always work freelance.
6. If #1-#5 cannot be fulfilled where we are, we move.

As survivors, I'd want to take on the "hero" role for this game, and we have a decently enough sized group to be effective at it. I'd always prefer to work to our own schedule, and not the allegiances of others. We're survivor friendly, but not the group that will do whatever another group/alliance tells us to do. We don't want your help, but we will aid others in their time of need.

We can always use Cheap Ass Corpses to establish other goals if we feel the need to but CAS cannot do so due to conflicts.

The CDF (Crossman Defense Force) patrols what's known as "Saint's Row" (the 3 Hospitals of Durvall). I suggest our relationship with any survivor groups in Durvall to be "survivor-friendly", but by no means an allegiance to any group.

We will fight with you against the undead if we seek a battle, but we will not join you in hunting other groups, or hunt your PK kill list, etc.

Long story short, I want CAS to be the group that does all the "good guy" work without all the obligation.

Works for me. I just have two requests:

First, we don't fight the Philosophe Knights, or any group similar to them. The Knights are a PKing clan who only attack those who they catch breaking their specific rules (in this case, looting museums). Such groups are no threat to us so long as we don't threaten them.

Second, I'd rather we not engage the Church of the Resurrection, my zombie clan. This generally means keeping the fuck out of any and all churches, 'cause that's their/our main target. The CotR isn't too close by any means, but it's shambling in our general direction at the moment.

EDIT: Newspapers just give you a bit of backstory. Books have a % chance of giving you 1 (2 if you're a scientist) EXP when read.

That's fine. I'm post on the CDF forums and let them know our intentions.

EDIT: I've made our intro on their forums, I'll let you know of any interesting replies.

EDIT2:
Welcome to the area. Darvall certainly has lots o' chances to level up. Its good to have another survivor group in the area.

If you need anything from CDF, just drop us a line.

St. Eutychian's Hospital, then? Comparing maps, it seems I'll need 29-30 AP to make it there from where I am and I've got..whaddya know, 30 AP right now. I think I'll make a mad dash there in a few minutes and then start stockpiling AP once I'm safe inside.

Psst, HotShotX, you have me confused with CSidegamer on the Wiki. ;)

I think we might want to get more people with free running before we start getting an EHB building, but if you want to begin the move, feel free. Anyone else ready for it?

EDIT: My mistake, Modium. It's fixed now.

Hmm, well I see 3 options with this:

1. We enter the building and set up shop, and barricades stay at VSB, but I want to avoid the zombies from getting in, so cades stay up at EHB...with anyone outside camping in St. Eutychian's, which kind of defeats the purpose of of having an HQ.

2. We enter the building and set up shop, keep cades at VSB, and hold it as best as we can with zed outside.

3. We hold off until more members have free running, so that the HQ is always at EHB. (We could still enter and set up shop though, I just need cades lowered because I don't have FR).

EDIT: I say "set up shop" too much. This thread needs more good ole fashioned fuckin' cursing.

~HotShotX
I was thinking we'd do number three, though I was sure that you had free running. Damn. Want me to lower the barricades?
Please do. Once I'm in let's get the cades back to EHB if possible, or should we leave them down at VSB?

~HotShotX

You want cursing, you got it. Some fucking asshole killed me, again. How the dead can die is beyond me, but now i have to wait before i can stand up again. At this rate i'll get to you guys sometime next year.
I am also in. I refilled the generator.
Awesome, thanks.

I'm in, should we re-cade back to EHB or leave them as VSB?
I don't know. We definitely don't want the zombies to get in overnight and ruin the place.
Recade to EHB if you can, I'll sleep in the hospital for the night. CAS members can get entry once they have free running. It's too dangerous here to have anything short of EHB.

~HotShotX

I'll leave it open for a little bit. The generator should attract a few zombies to us.

EDIT: It's at Very Heavy right now. I used my last bit of AP to move back to the hospital.

Sounds good, everyone stock up AP tonight to start killing some zeds tomorrow morning/evening.

~HotShotX

I finally got a pistol and some ammo from the mall this morning, and I almost have enough AP to make a dash to the new hospital. I should be there by tomorrow morning.
PKers Alliance in the Mall. Wouldn't sleep in the room with this guy:

Look at his Wiki page (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Pathetic_Bill)

It's crazy how big the Urban Dead Wiki is. Just look how detailed everything is. The game seems simple to me yet it's Wiki page could probably provide hours and hours of reading.

Budge - see: signature for constant updates. We're in St. Euchy-something's hospital. It's right beside the building mentioned in the signature. Check the maps for details.

I'm holding down the fort at Hallett. I'll be able to save a lot of AP tomorrow (school + sleep), so I'll be down for killing zombies tomorrow.

If anyone is interested in starting (or already have) undead characters and getting Cheap Ass Corpses going, ColdShotX is level 3 and hunting for BRA!NZZZ!!!1 outside of Bale Mall in East Boundwood.
