Why does everyone like to pretend that they don't drink, swear or have sex? Someone please explain to me what the big deal is. The FCC is out of control and now players, coaches and owners in the NFL are acting like pansies. Jesus, most people swear in their everyday life (or at least hear it constantly) and everyone on the planet wants to have sex (it is why we're here, right? Admit it, you're thinking about sex right now, arent you?). Half the population has boobs yet flashing one on TV for a second is a sign the world is ending. WTF? /end of rant (for now).

Because America is spiraling down to a dark and gloomy pit of censorship and political correction?

Hadn't you noticed yet?

Yeah, this is a rant that has been going on for a LONG time now. It is just dumb...but when people call the FCC to complain, they are just as bad.

I think the biggest load of crap in that is "Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy found it racially offensive."
Give me a break.

But yea, it is getting pretty ridiculous.

That's why I just don't bother to watch tv anymore.

Why did Dungy have to complain about race. Would Dungy have cared if Nicole jumped in Manning's arms? So does that mean if it had been a hot black girl like Tyra everythings ok.
People need to stop complaining about the little things and worry about the big issues.

You said it Shiznit.

Who cares about all the americans dying overseas right now, theres a college football player saying 'F***' on my TV. Someone do something...

People really do need to step back a bit and see what the real problems are and stop with the petty nonsense.

Aww shit...the FCC black helicopter is landing in our parking lot...again...

Its because families watch football too. I was in night class monday when this happend but my uncle whom i stay with during the week watches football and his daughter is usually around. Sure adults dont mind but they do if they have children around when all of a sudden...BAM T.O. getting a T.D. off the field lol. FCC doesnt totally suck guys, if you want to watch unedited stuff you can watch a movie or channels you pay for.
Will someone please think about the children!

I woulnd't say I was 'offended' but I don't think that it was appropriate and added nothing to the football game. I have 2 small boys and I like to know what we are watching, when I sit down with them to watch a football game that is what I expect to see. If I wanted to watch desperate housewives I would.

American has become polar opposites. Overly conservative and overly liberal. We cannot find a nice happy medium to rest at. I'm sick of all the BS about not showing programs such as Saving Private Ryan on public TV. If you are offended change the fuckING channel! And if it is after 10pm your children shouldn't be up watching the TV anyhow!

I could see if the girl was actually naked and they showed it. I could see people thinking that is not appropriate for their children.

They show more skin in a JC Penny catalogue or in the flyer for any store that sells bras. No one is 'offended' by that though.
just abolish all tv and radio...make people read. make people think for themselves for the first time in their lives.
But if there was no TV what would I watch?

I don't find it offensive at all, in fact I wish I watched that part of the pre-game. But if the game was rated TV-PG or something like that, they can't show something like that. It is like watching a Disney movie and having Mickey cut off Goofys balls with a dull razor. See my point?

They didnt show anything though.

I didnt watch the game, but I am sure that there were some beer commercials or ads for some other products during the game that were worse than this was.

well the first part of my post was in jest, as the american public would never accept such a drastic change of life.

the average adult watches tv for 7 hours a day, if that was just ripped away fromt hem, what would they do? read? listen to music? spend time learning who their kids are?

tv is weak anyways...anything you can watch on broadcast television you can watch at your leasure with no commercials on dvd...

Paint Dry?

Seriously though I hate all of the pre-monday night crap that they show and it was not offensive. Lets look at it this way a girl in a 2 piece bathing suit shown from behind hugging a guy. Does that little string across the back make it not offensive?

Stuff like this occurs in cycles similar to fashion. Just look back in history the ultra conservative 50's turned into the crazy late 60's. We are probably at the conservative high tide right now pretty soon we will start moving in the other direction. This thread makes me want to read Fahrenheirt 451 again.

Still parents should be responsible for thier kids.. ok this was unexpected.. but its not like you are going to shelter your kids forever.. and a good parent could explain the situation to kid.

Instead you have sheltered kids that don't know how to handle race..sex or religion when they grow up. Let them deal with it.... You know your kid is gonna see it on TV,, no matter what.

I think the clip was really just stupid, but the fact it gets blown up.. just brings more attention to it.

Parents argue..well what am i gonna tell my kid ? What was on it ? a white chick jumping into TO's arms. Unless your kid already has an idea of sex, then they would really have no clue whats going on. And if they could figure it out, then where did they get the initial idea from ?

Everytime I see a kid on a bike wearing a helmet I cry a bit inside. THe possibility of falling off your bike and cracking your skull open is part of growing up but now all the kids wear these helmets that are 4 times the size of their head and their bodies are completly covered in bubble wrap.

Amen.

I rarely drop by and post but I have to admit. America doesn't have an identity. Political correctness and the liberals taking over the judicial system is what makes independants and moderate republicans have to stand with the ultra conservitives.

As it stands these days Democrats are Socialist and before someone goes and tries to flame me look up the definition of a socialist (Communist) and compare them to what you see to day in the stances and policies in the left. Once things have gotten out of hand socialism will have to be cleaned up and transformed into a Communist state. There is no other way to fix it unless you rebel and remake the entire system or turn communist.

Republicans feel an obligation to enforce some sort of moral line even if it is a line drawn in the sand. There are many other issues they don't agree on but I do think that sex is a natural thing and shouldn't be pulled under the rug but it shouldn't be exploited either. We as a society right now because we exploit it. (Mostly do to the conservative enviroment that both sides both directly and indrectly create)

You want to see change. You want to see the middle. Get rid of the socialists and ignore the far right, be vocal about the natural things of life and the need to control everything.

By the way you know the Govenment's only power was meant to make war not much else. I believe it was Alexander Hamilton that said the powers we have given the federal government are few and finite. Finite my ass. Look how socialist we have already become. What doesn't the socialst dictate? States should dictate what their citizens should do and not do. That should happen through your elected officals and people that represent YOU not someone from MAS. or TEXAS. That way if you don't like what they enforce you can move to a different one. That is the way it was meant to be. We are nolonger the United States of America. We are America. State government is a Joke. They have control of next to nothing.

Man ... I am bound to get burned off of this lol.
Seriously the whole thing is our politians faults (Both sides) Our founding fathers would piss their pants if they could see us now.

i have to disagree with this, bike helmets saves many lives every year, your statement is like saying seat belts are bad because everyone should get in a wreck.

ill admit other bike saftey gear (elbow/knee pads, ect.) it just overboard but helmets definetly are a good thing...that being said, i bike everywhere i dont own a helmet, so wht do i know?

I wear a helmet all the time and I don't even have a bike. So who knows how many times I've cheated death by doing this.

I, for one, simply cannot stand the suggestion of a woman wanting to have sex with a man when I'm trying to enjoy some nice big sweaty men grappling and beatiing each other with my kids. Look, it's real simple:
burly men can touch, rub, and beat other burly men (atheletes)
sexy ladies can touch, rub, and beat other sexy ladies (cheerleaders, beer commercials)
Sexy ladies and burly men MUST NOT INTERACT IN ANY WAY!
Sincerely,
America

I agree.

as for the bike helmets...i UNDERSTAND the use, and the fear for the childrens lives...but theres only so much padding you can put on until your not cycling anymore, your just rolling. I personnaly do not use a helmet(unless legally forced to...fuckers) because i feel that i have enough competence to not get myself killed, and if i do, it was my time.

when riding a bike, its not about the competene of getting yourself killed, thats just being cocky. you have to be trusting enough that every person in every car isnt going to kill you.

people dont often pay attention to bikers if they are in a hurry, i cant even count the number of times ive come a half second from being slammed by a car, or had to swerve into oncomming traffic to avoid being hit.

yeah my brakes dont work either.

The funny thing is that for all the people who complain about this being shown while kids are watching, none have complained when they show the cheerleaders bouncing up and down with next to nothing on.

sex is everywhere you look: billboards, commercials, radio, the news, etc... It's all about how you raise your kids if they grow up to do the right thing.

Lawyers, if little jimmie fell of his bike and cracked his head a thousand lawyers would popup to sue the bike maker and whoever owned the property he hurt himself on.

I was more offended by the fact that in the last Ravens game Ray Lewis pants kept falling off his ass. Why no anger at the sight of Ray Lewis' ass crack? I guess the FCC has no problem with big ugly man-ass.

It's contradictial if you only want to promote sex for one kind of thing, and by doing that you have to take the "good" with the "bad". I've seen way too many guys become repulsed at the thought of another guy naked, but they don't complain about the opposite sex. Women are forced to endure it whether they like it or not, since it's fucking everywhere. We are all humans so I don't see the big fucking deal at seeing another human being naked whether they are MALE or FEMALE for either sex. Fortunately for guys though, males don't like to be displayed as nude nearly as much as women since it's "bad", so even so they have to endure barely any if any at all.

Ok, then your in denial that when its Helmet Vs. Car, helmet wins. If your getting hit by a fucking car, you deserve it (well...that was harsh...).

EDIT BEFORE EVEN POSTING: I dont mean YOU you, i mean people who arnt careful enough to watch out for cars...yeah, those people

i agree you have to be alert at all times of what car are or may be doing...no one in pgh uses turn signals.

i never said a helmet would save your life everytime, but if you land on your head, it increases your odds quite a bit. other pads do nothing but protect you from cuts from falling and stuff like that, but helmets actully to provide protection.

I have no problem with any nudity whatsoever but the reason women are figured more prominently than men as far as sex goes is simple: It all comes down to the balls. I mean just take a look at them... there's the flapping skin, the hair, the sweaty testicle broth, etc. Who wants to see that?
