good news all you square fans:

Pretty sure I posted the exact words from that interview a little while ago in here.
I didn't like them then, and I don't like them now. Square basically thinks releasing a game on the VC = insta-credibility destruction for the physical copies of a game.
Which is really stupid when you consider Chrono Trigger has only been released twice, the second one being chock full of speed issues.
What they are saying is that they'd rather remake and re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-release on various systems where they can charge thirty bucks a pop, if not forty. Which basically means the DS and PSP a this point, and inevitably the DS2/PSP2.
It's really not all that encouraging when you think about it. If you're going to hold off on Chrono Trigger and the like from VC/PSN/XBL, then playcate me with a modern sequel or a remake or
something.
Yes, I realize it's kind of odd to ask for a remake of a game I own and could dig out and still play today. I mean at this point I'm basically fine with them releasing an old game in a new format with a few tweaks and updates. Just GIVE IT TO ME ALREADY. And bonus points - I'll even buy the digital copy for another eight bucks! That's two sales in one, Square. Seeing as how Nintendo has a hard-on to keep the VC games "true to their nature," they won't allow anything to change - it's just a pure ROM. But I'd still buy it regardless of if there's a 2D update of Chrono Trigger, a 3D update of Chrono Trigger, a Chrono Trigger rhythm game....

Please, quit deluding yourself into thinking that I care enough to be so out to get you. I haven't attacked any of your posts in months, and I didn't start here.
If I asked everyone who believed this to raise their hands, anyone with any semblance of paying attention around here and knowing what was going on would actually try to get theirs as
down as possible. We could provide shovels so people could dig holes in an effort to not raise them as much as possible.
You come in after one of my posts, in a 2000+ post thread, to make a snide remark. That's quite a lottery for me to win, don't you think? You could come in at any time and make a valid post, but you choose not to. And then when you do, it's not even really on topic. It's just another smarmy tangent coupled with a small attempt to not quite look so conspicuous.
I didn't even start in on the comments about it - others did before me. Your denial doesn't work when people here are experienced enough to understand history, know how to use message boards, and are familiar with terminology like "annoying" and "troll."
Hell, you even acknowledge you start the attacks by proudly proclaiming you haven't done it in months. For a fun history lesson, go look up any posts you've made with my name in them. You'll find the first attack on the second page - it shouldn't take you long, in some thread about a dude selling his game collection (which I thought happened a lot longer ago, but it was somewhat recent in the grand scheme of things). And then come back and try to tell me I was the one who started everything from the get-go.
So I'm going to ask you calmly and quietly - if you don't have anything good to add in here, then leave. If you want to discuss Wiiware/VC games, then we welcome that too. But this current nonsense isn't required, given the good-hearted nature the core of this thread shares.
