I played the contra 4 demo, I liked aspects of it but, my biggest problem (which happened with the orignal al ot too) is that its really hard to shoot at a diagonal. I don't know if they made it that way or if my ds is not sensitive enough, but it makes it harder for me. Other than that the demo level wasn't that hard.

This is something that helps me in the game, if you hold the "R" shoulder button your player won't move and then shooting in all directions is easier.

The other games that have the tax were games with franchises behind them. (TMNT) I'm guessing Square figures they're THAT awesome.
 
So they are charging import price on Mario RPG, which is reasonable because it's freakin Mario RPG. Now if it came out 6 months from now and said here it is, import price I might be a bit mad because they waited that long, but if they released it soon at a 900 point cost I wouldn't care one bit.

Pretty sure you're looking at a Squeenix tax, not an import one. I wouldn't be surprised if they needed an extra dollar of revenue to let it go through.

Of course then they go ahead and release a bunch of PS1 games on PSN for $6. I suppose that just means they didn't expect to make enough money on those particular games to justify remakes and retail release like they do with the majority of their SNES catalog.
 
i just bought a 2000 pt card...finally something to buy for me.

im still waiting for Strong Bad Cool Games 4 attractive people to come out. Ive come late to the Wii Ware games and Lost Winds is amazing.

Of all the games available, this one seems to be one of the least desirable ones. If you are looking for a pick up and play game I recommend Block Breakers or Pop. I have played Defend your Castle for a little while and I could see paying $5 for that too, but the novelty might wear off in a week or so.
 
That is just awesome. Now I wonder what the pricing will be? I'm guessing at least 1000 points but I could see them charging more. Since it is completely 8-bit, I wish they would charge 500 like the NES titles.

I've played Dr. Mario, BB Deluxe, VIP Blackjack, and (very briefly) FFCCMLaaK. Of those, BBD has awful controls that ruin the game, and VIP BJ:lol: has choppy animations and whatnot. 700 points is too much. I'd say it's worth maybe 300-500 points. Dr. Mario is fun, but not 1000 points fun. Although I can see why people like it, it's just I don't have that much fun playing it. FFCCMLaaK was promising. Didn't play it enough to give it a fair ranking, but so far looks the most worth the full point value.

Any word on Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People (aka the only interesting unreleased WW title)? Last I heard, it was slated for sometime in July but I don't know what's up with it as a bunch of other stuff happens then too.

Dr. Mario is 10,000 points fun. I have played it more than any other Wii game I've owned ever. I have played it more than any other Wii game you've owned ever. I have played it for more hours since it's release than hours I have been actually conscious. It's that fun. 1000 points is nothing in the face of that kind of fun.

Defend Your Castle is negative fun. For 500 points, it actually takes away 2000 more points and gives you diseases. In your crotch.

What's wrong with me not liking a game? I just don't like Dr. Mario in general. And I'm not saying it's a bad game. I just don't like it.
I doubt your claim that you've played it more than any Wii game I've owned ever. Endless Ocean, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, and to a lesser extent Mario Kart all got played by me a lot.

Nothing's wrong with you not liking a game. I don't think what I had written implied that in the least. I was joking about pretty much everything in that post to emphasize how much I like Dr. Mario and dislike Defend Your Castle.

I think you must be so defensive because of your guilt about not liking Dr. Mario.

Yup. Certain people I would expect to make a multi paragraph post explaining why I should like Dr. Mario. Your post looked to me like you wanted to tell me how much I should like Dr. Mario, but rereading it, you're right, it was just saying how much you like it.

I'm almost done with my sampling of Wii Ware. Of what I've tried, LostWinds and FFCCMLaaK look the best. DYC is by far the worst. Here's what I haven't tried:
