if it helps, the Japanese are getting Splatterhouse Part 2 on Tuesday, so if we don't get Mario RPG, I'm willing to accept it in its place...
So Japan is getting Splatterhouse II and we are not getting Mario RPG (probably no no Nintendo hates us this will take another 6 months if ever), fuck...

Just adds to my rage after a 5pm-12am shift and then a 10am-4pm tomrrow.

Ugh, well if Mario RPG comes out on Monday, I myself will be in a cheerful happy mood and my complaints with Nintendo will go down by 75%, lol.
I didn't think BB Deluxe had bad controls. How much time did you spend with it Doomed?
About 10 minutes. Allow my crude text art to explain:

______ = paddle

o = ball

______ o

Always happened. Never had a problem with any other breakout game, probably because arrow keys/d pad/analog stick offer much more precision. Requiring pointer control sucked the little bit of fun out of the game.
Today Europe got Pac-Attack - SNES/800 Points, Super Fantasy Zone - SEGA Genesis/800 Points, King of Monsters - Neo Geo/900 Points, Cybernoid: The Fighting Machine - Commodore 64/500 Points, and Summer Games II - Commodore 64/500 Points.
Really wish we'd start getting those C-64 games.

Oh, and to the poster who mentioned that Dr. Mario is worth 10,000 points, I disagree.

Multi-player Virus Buster, though, makes the Dr. Mario DOWNLOAD worth 10,000,000 points. ;)

Kinda surprised to see DK3 on that list , considering I thought nintendo had disowned the game.

I really want fire emblem. Although if nintendo were to release the older games out over here , it would probably be in the form of enhanced ports. I'd be happy with simply a Phantasy Star Collection GBA style release though.

Definitely in for Shining Force 2 and Samurai Shodown 2 if they get US releases. The original Shining Force still entertains me to no end.

fuck the new Mega Man game - we might be getting a new Adventure Island game. Master Higgins and bee eggs FTW!

It's been a while since I've bought anything from the VC. I think we're due for something good, to make me open my wallet.
New FF:MLAAK DLC coming this way!

Chime in a bikini = Win. also, did I just see them changing the name of an adventurer. I was just about ready to give up on MLAAK, and more cool stuff comes out. Square Enix really want my money
I got out once. They're not going to pull me back in. :nottalking:

I haven't checked since I finished the game the first time, but has any of the DLC that was due for June in America shown up yet?

Man, what I wouldn't give for a translated version of that Fire Emblem title... :)

King of the Monsters would be an acceptable compromise, though, so I can relive my fond memories of the game from all of those Nick Arcade reruns.

WII-KLY UPDATE: ONE WIIWARE GAME AND ONE VIRTUAL CONSOLE GAME ADDED TO WII SHOP CHANNEL

June 30, 2008
You want fireworks? Look no further than the Wii™ Shop Channel, where vibrant bursts of classic gaming action and fresh WiiWare™ content will help fill your living room with a flurry of ooohs and ahhhs. Puzzle-game mavens can enjoy a wild new addition to the WiiWare library, while the Virtual Console™ brings a truly classic fighting game to the fore. For an added holiday-week blast, fans of the WiiWare hit FINAL FANTASY® CRYSTAL CHRONICLES®: My Life as a King™ can enhance the action with new Add-On Content.

Nintendo adds new and classic games to the Wii Shop Channel at 9 a.m. Pacific time every Monday. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week's new games are:

WiiWare

Magnetica™ Twist (Nintendo, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone-Comic Mischief, 1,000 Wii Points): The classic puzzle game Magnetica is now available on WiiWare , putting its own unique "twist" on the puzzle-game experience. You're surrounded by marbles, marching slowly but surely down a track. Use a launcher (piloted by a Mii™ of your choice) to shoot marbles with matching colors and wipe them out before they reach the end of the track. Control couldn't be simpler, as all you need to do is twist the Wii Remote™ controller to aim and press the A button to shoot. And the game play remains as addictive and deep as you've come to expect in Nintendo's puzzle games, with five varied play modes, advanced mechanics such as the ability to lob marbles, and a never-ending supply of combos. This definitely isn't your typical game of marbles.

Virtual Console

FATAL FURY 2 (NEOGEO, 1-2 players, Rated T for Teen-Animated Blood, Violence, 900 Wii Points): Released in 1992 by SNK, FATAL FURY 2 is the second installment in the renowned fighting-game series. In addition to Terry, Andy and Joe, who appeared in the original game, another five distinctive fighters gather from around the world to compete for the championship title. Also newly added are stage-specific hazards and the ability to perform desperation attacks when a character's strength is low. These particularly deadly techniques create the chance for a come-from-behind victory achieved with a single strike. Moreover, the innovative two-line battle, which proved popular in the previous version, also has been radically enhanced. Pressing the weak-attack and strong-attack buttons simultaneously enables players to move their fighters to another line themselves, or to launch an attack that pushes opponents back to another line. This game mechanic, unique to this title in the series, allows the player to take advantage of the depth of the screen and create even more exciting bouts. Can you prove yourself the king of fighters again?

When's the wedding?

I hated Magnetica on the DS and that even had a pretty tight control scheme. As much as I love puzzle games, this one (Zuma or whatever) jsut doesn't comepl me to keep playing. No thank you for me today.
Shining Force 2 = Bitchin'Yeah, FE1 is getting remade for the DS right now.
Didn't know about that , but it doesn't surprise me. Now we just gotta wait for the other 5 or 6 FE games after that.:bomb:

I'd be game for a new adventure island as well. I'd like it if they first finished releasing the rest of the old adventure island games though , might as well finish off wonder boy too while there at it.

Oh and Nick Arcade was awesome. I so want to watch that show again.

I got you guys a wedding present.

I like how they show you can make chocolate or vanilla cakes. And how they make unbuttoned jeans out of frosting.

This thread is getting way too erotic.

Good evening my loves. :whee:
The OP has been updated.

I did not play My Life as a King recently, so if someone wants to check what the new DLC is and how much.. I'll add it.

This weeks DS Demos: (ending 7/06/08)
Crosswords DS - Word Search Demo
PICTOIMAGE
Carnival Games
The Incredible Hulk
Kung Fu Panda

I downloaded Magnetica. It's 84 blocks. That's very awesome. :) I'll give impressions later!

/double post & doesn't care

PICTOIMAGE, (the DS Demo) is retarded. It's like a "Win, Lose, or Draw" for idiots. Like.. don't get me wrong, it's not bad! It's just kinda retarded. Def one of them games you pick up when it's in a $10 or less bin.

Carnival Games (DS Demo), was surprisingly amusing. They only give you 3 games to play, but still. I really enjoyed the Wii Version...this might get picked up for DS. Of course, at an extremely discounted price as well. I think it's just a straight up port of the Wii version..

Magnetica Twist is def a good time. The 84 blocks def balances out the 1000 point pricing. I guess that's the good and bad of these first party WiiWare titles. They seem to be pricey, but low on blocks. :bomb:
It's really fun. If you liked Zuma, you will really enjoy this. The twisting, where it does take some time to get used to, def adds something to the experience. I haven't tried the 2 player or multiplayer modes yet, and I'd imagine that would be a ton of fun.

It could have def used an online mode. At the VERY least, offered us an online leader board.
So far, I'm gonna say 8/10. It's not ZOMG GREAAAT!..but it's really not a bad game at all. Then again, I really enjoy Zuma..so this may be why I like it so much.
Do SNES usb adapters work with VC? If it can support keyboards, it can support these, right?
Somebody answer my question

Every game has a list of what controllers it can support. Do any of them have USB support?

I don't think Nintendo remembers that they put USB ports on the Wii.

All the units in-house probably have a piece of paper taped over them with the words THIS DOES NOT EXIST, or THERE IS NOTHING BACK HERE, or something similar.

They probably do the same for the SD card slot too.

I always wondered what they were supposed to be used for. The only thing I remember using the ports was a cooling fan which actually did more harm than good from what I heard.

They did patch in support for keyboards, which was really random. And mics plug in there.
