Yep. They just obviously don't tie into nerd points so you can't show them off to your friends.

And a quick 8.6 from IGN. 3.0 for graphics.

I don't mind about achievements, not like I'd like to show them off anyway.

Me: Hey guess which achievement I just picked up in Megaman 9 last night?
Friend: It can't be as good as the achievement that I got with my girlfriend.
Me: :(
It's official:

I wonder what this means for VC titles on that day?
Anyone else remember what happened the last time we were promised a release date the weekend before the VC update? :nottalking:

That said...Mega Man is an instant buy as soon as it comes out. :D
I do. Strong Bad 2 came out. :p
I forgot, and I know I asked this back when MLaaK was just released, but can you gift DLC? I'm thinking you can't.
I'm going to guess how they do the DLC. If you buy the DLC from the Shop Channel, then probably. Since MLaaK DLC can only be purchased in game, you couldn't.

Since we only have 1 WiiWare title with DLC, we won't know until we see more :)

Oh yeah.

Given that the Wii Shop channel doesn't seem to have a convenient spot to put the DLC, I've got a hunch they'll be using the MLaaK model.
$2 for proto man?

Gaw-dammit.

No way.
Given that I've got 200 points left from the 1000 I bought for Super Mario RPG, I see Proto Man in my future. :)

I'm getting pretty excited for Mega Man 9. I love MM games even though I'm hardly ever able to finish them. I'll probably pick up the Proto Man DLC, has any other DLC been mentioned?

Hmm...I'll probably grab MM9 on 360 simply for the fact that I want the achievements. That and I still have to beat SMG and Wario soon.

I was thinking that as well, but have you seen the achievements? Impossible... unless you're some sort of Mega Man guru.
I can't believe they are charging $2 for a character, I hate DLC so much sometimes.
It's horrible. I just want a complete game. I've been playing Mega Man 2 and it's nice to know that it just has a beginning and and an ending, and eight bad guys.

WiiWare

Mega Man™ 9 (CAPCOM, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone-Mild Cartoon Violence, 1,000 Wii Points): Mega Man fans, the wait is over! The classic Blue Bomber that debuted in 1987 is back with the ninth installment in the classic series. It's a new adventure for Mega Man done in an 8-bit style-graphics, music and gameplay are all like you remember them.

PLÄTTCHEN twist 'n' paint (Bplus, 1-8 players, Rated E for Everyone, 1,000 Wii Points):PLÄTTCHEN twist 'n' paint is a crazy, challenging puzzle shooter that delivers more than 100 hours of fun, supporting up to eight players simultaneously. Guard the birth of ZeLeLi and free them from the menace of the evil black Shadow Plättchen. Play as one of the countless FantasyMEs and fight as an astronaut, butterfly, car or football against sharks, cowboys, asteroids and skulls in numerous, fabulous fantasy Worlds. Use items and multipliers in combos to fight yourself to the top of the high scores and find the perfect way to solve a level. Go wild in three completely different game modes of PLÄTTCHEN twist 'n' paint with more than 300 levels. Twist cooperatively with your friends or compete through many multiplayer modes.

Virtual Console

Super Dodge Ball™ (NES™, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone-Mild Cartoon Violence, 500 Wii Points): In Super Dodge Ball, you take control of the USA Dodge Ball team and travel the world in an effort to become the best dodge ballers around. Step onto playing fields in countries all over the globe and use a combination of normal and super shots to help take down your opponents. But be careful, as some destinations have surfaces that can affect your footing. Manage the team as you think best, and swap out characters with other players that better fit your playing style. Two players can enjoy a head-to-head game or play a spirited round of Bean Ball, a six-character free-for-all. Three difficulty levels are available (Easy, Medium, and Hard); which one you choose will depend on your skill and courage. Do you have what it takes to lead Team USA to the ultimate prize and win the world championship of dodge ball?

Vectorman™ (Sega Genesis, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone-Animated Violence, 800 Wii Points): In the year 2049, mankind is forced to abandon an over polluted Earth and seek out other planets for colonization while the mechanized Orbots stay behind to clean up the mess. When the Orbot leader, WarHead, starts blowing a few circuits and causes a war among the mechanical brethren, a sludge pilot named Vectorman is the only one willing to step up and fight him. You'll morph into a speeding train, a power drill, a mechanical fish and a mighty dune buggy in this action-packed adventure. Equip yourself with weapons, pick up morphs and power-ups to defeat WarHead, and restore peace on Earth.

Holy shit four games

You know what game I suddenly really want? EVO. But it's an Square-Enix title, so I may as well also assume they'll be releasing Chrono Trigger DS for $9.99.

I don't think I'll mind dropping an extra $2 for Protoman in a couple of weeks. Between charge shots and sliding (neither of which MegaMan can do in this game), it'll have a big effect on the way I play the game. I was playing MM2 on Saturday and really missed the charge shots on the mega-buster. In the few screenshots I've seen, I noticed in one of them that there was a space just big enough to slide through, which means Protoman will open up some areas, paths, or items. Besides, by the time he comes out, I'll probably have played though it once or twice and be excited to try something new.

Oh, and a big "YAY!" for Super Dodgeball. Definitely one of my favorites from the NES.

Is it confirmed Mega Man can't slide in 9? He's been able to slide in every game since 3. I think charge shots have also been a staple since 3 or 4. I would have thought Proto Man would have like a shield dash sort of move instead of the slide like in Power Battles.

Yep, no charge, no slide ala Mega Man 1 and 2. Prepare to swear.

Well fuck!

After thinking for a sec, now I'm going to assume they took those abilities from Mega so Proto plays differently and you have to pay $2 to slide under those parts unknown.

Well shit. This is one of the best VC Mondays in quite sometime.

I won't bite on MM9 just yet because, and I'm sad to admit, the only original MM game I've actually beaten is 8, so I'll take the next few days and run the gauntlet through them in MM Anniversary Collection.

No idea. I'm downloading it once it goes live, so I'll tell you.

Although, SBCG4AP Ep 1 is being moved to a SD card as a precaution >_>

Wow, I took a good day to take off from work!
I gotta look up Vectorman. I remember it, but I don't remember anything about it...

I think Mega Man 9 and Dodgeball will be mine.

I'm interested in everything this week! I think I will actually go for the "other" WiiWare game first, since I'm still enjoying Mega Man 2.

I have heard Mega Man 9 takes up 8 blocks. Also I have heard it uses a Password System. If it uses a Password system, it is clearly the best new downloadable game ever.
Mega Man 9 is 66 blocks
Sweet. I won't have to delete anything then. That was actually much smaller than I was expecting.

I did too. But I got to Concrete Man. Okay, that level was awesome, but evil. I got through the level on my last life
The 3rd Elephant is the devil. So I had to get up close and spam as fast as possible.
So good though.
