I bought CoE I played the demo and liked it and missed the last sale. Watch it go on the PS+ or maybe it did but I am glad to throw the team a few scheckles
 
Any reason to go COE on WII u over waiting for a PS4 sale?

 I am more likely to play on PS as the WII is currently unplugged(unless there is reason it is better on Wii..)  Same liked the demo, but not in any rush to get to it.

It's $5 now and I had eshop credit. Also Off Tv gameplay. I mean just plug the WiiU in and don't hook it up to a tv. 95% of games can be played without it

Nintendo gave me 45.00 to buy stuff but it's on my 3ds. Can I use that money to buy stuff for the Wii U? 

I'd check if the money's on the Wii U too but it's not hooked up and I don't feel like hooking it up.

Well, the fact that NSMBU comes with New Super Luigi U as free DLC (essentially) means that it's going to be my top priority Wii U game now. Only Wii U game I own at the moment is Smash Bros., and I wasn't sure if I wanted to get SM3W or NSMBU first.

 
NSMBU+NSLU is a fantastic bundle but I think it's still cheaper to get a refurbished disc of it from Nintendo.

Until now though the only way to get that disc was to be lucky enough to buy a WiiU that had it bundled, get it expensive from GameStop used, or the refurbished Nintendo store, so a digital buy bundle is a good deal, ESPECIALLY if it includes the bonus videos. The bonus videos show some incredibly skilled NSMBU trick play and I think were only available on the combo disc, not even if you owned vanilla NSMBU and got NSLU as DLC.

The eShop was down for several hours when I checked it on Monday, but I guess that's not a good excuse. Feel free to dock my pay as needed, if not terminate my position as head of this thread. I'll be back later to see what the general consensus is on this issue.

So when NNID was down for maintenance last week, did that turn out to be nothing? I know everyone was speculating it meant unified accounts were inbound.
 
Nintendo investor's meeting going on. Highlights include:

- Club Nintendo replacement is being called "My Nintendo" and will work on consoles, PCs, and mobile devices using cloud sharing. Can transfer save data from mobile games to console games. Rewards confirmed for Japanese side at least.

- New mobile game called "Miitomo." You upload a Mii and they socialize with other Miis. Likely a mobile version of Tomodachi Life. Will be released in March 2016.

- Apparently Nintendo still has titles to be released this year that have not been announced.

- Amiibo functionality will be improved on the NX, hinting at future non-Smash lines.

- Nintendo is going to be "more aggressive" with their IPs next year. Upcoming mobile games will be used to enhance and advertise upcoming games. Not all mobile games will be free-to-play.

- Nintendo is going to be developing all their mobile games. DeNA is just distributing them.

Konami is concentrating solely on mobile games. Nintendo is using Mobile games to get people to buy their console games. Important difference.

EDIT: More info on My Nintendo. You can rack up points not just by buying games, but playing them as well. The Japanese graphic says that points can be used on toys, gear, and coupons. The account can be logged in via NNID, e-mail, Facebook, and more. You will be able to access the eShop easier on the Web as well. Nintendo also said it could be used in theme parks, stores, and theaters, but that is likely Japan only.

EDITx2: Also, Twilight Princess HD is all but confirmed. A brand new model of TP Link was used in a slideshow for the meeting. The model is much cleaner than the original artwork and brighter as well. Like if TP Link was made in Skyward Sword's graphical style.

Doubt that will cross over since they had a bunch of CN exclusive themes as part of their shutdown extravaganza that were super cheap points wise. Would have bought them all instead of some of the mediocre games I grabbed if we had been given the chance.

Human Resource Machine is from the makers of World of Goo and Little Inferno, which instantly piques my interest. Scores on metacritic (PC version) are solid, though it's probably not for everyone. I'll probably buy it for full price, even though Little Inferno goes on sale kinda frequently.
 
A few tidbits have been released by Nintendo about the upcoming My Nintendo system.

- NNID, Twitter, Google+, Facebook, and e-mail can all be used to log in.

- Friend lists will be tied to My Nintendo Account rather than systems.

- Games purchased via My Nintendo on the Web can be passively downloaded onto the system.

- New Nintendo Direct confirmed before year's end.
