Ya, I'm getting worked on the leaderboards, hope to change that.

My friend IRL who has a Windows Phone must be good at this game, he's at the top of both my leaderboards.
How far off are my scores from his?
How far off are my scores from his?
He's at 162216, I see you at 159945 for Run.

Rescue doesn't look like he's played. You're the only on on my leaderboard who's beaten that one.

He's at 52455 for Endless, I have you at 50692.

Is Gravity Guy worth it? Not sure if I wanna bite and the completionist in me is not liking the achievements. But I usually get good games despite the achievements lol so I would like some input.

I'm loving it. There's a couple achievements that are probably a completionists worst nightmare, but it's well worth $2.

You definitely would need to not care about the Achievements. And the game is just damn hard, though you have unlimited retries, which somewhat alleviates it. You should read my review (also linked in the OP of course) and, like Gently said, see how the demo treats ya.

I'm getting repeatedly stuck on Rescue as well. I'll try and get through it, but we'll see.

Good job completing it Outinthedark. I'm impressed, you've got quite a gamerscore as well.
I'd agree that your Zombies review was very good.
That's my favorite phone game, ever.

I'm trying to increase my Twitter readership, so I would appreciate it if everyone who uses Twitter would follow me! @segacon is my username there - don't know how I didn't end up with @eastx. If you follow me, please tell me your username here and I'll reciprocate.

I seem to find you everywhere eastx, I'll follow you on twitter it's johnoralex here and there. I never post on twitter though I only use it for information. As far as gravity guy goes it is my favorite game on windows phone so you should all get it if you don't have have it. I actually just completed the achievements tonight so they are possible with a lot of practice. Now I need to work on my endless score.

Done and done. I wonder what mine it ;)

I think I tried Orbital when it first came out and didn't like it.

I really need to pick my Focus up again. I haven't played a game on it in a couple months I bet.

Thanks guys, not seeing anything on my phone yet.

I'll check out the demo for Orbital again. I tried it before and didn't understand how to play.

Thanks for the review Paul, at least I understand what I'm trying to do now. I'll check out the demo later today and see if I can put my newfound understanding into action.

Also, this was funny. Bravo!:

"Each orb also starts with a number inside: 3 or 5, depending on the mode. Every time an orb is struck by their brethren, it cries a little inside and learns to distrust others. No wait, that’s my childhood."

BLASPHEMY!

Carcassonne is one of my favorite games. We have a monthly game night with friends and I love it when this game comes up. I will definitely pick up a WP7 version of the game.

Maybe I would like it more if I had someone to play with. If I go online I get destroyed because I'm still fairly new at it. And playing the AI felt really boring.

I tried the demo of Orbital and had no idea what was going on. Then I actually read the instructions, and now I'm having a lot of fun. Well worth the $2.

On the topic of Orbital, I can say that I do like it significantly more than EastX. It does have some addictive qualities and I can see me playing it for a while to get most the achievements and beat some high scores.

I do feel like it doesn't give quite enough control to the player, and I do recall losing more than a couple matches on shots that I don't feel were bad shots. I also don't particularly love the fact that you MUST rely on the multiplier during Supernova mode, because I feel like that multiplier is a little bit random. I haven't developed any strategies to harness the multiplier to my advantage, other than trying to litter the playing field with small orbs.

My feelings and thoughts exactly. I bought it because I enjoyed the demo. It is fun but the random bad bounce equals game over despite the shot should have been good. I am still unsure about the multiplier and it does appear random.

For 2 dollars I won't complain, too much. The 2.00 price point for a WP7 live game is about what I am comfortable paying regardless of quality. The only thing that would stop me from purchasing a title for 2 dollars is if the achievements are broken or a major bug.

That's how I feel too. As far as I can remember the only $2 game I skipped was Cro-Mag Rally. I also skipped Brain Challenge and Earthworm Jim HD at $3

I got 200/200 on Splinter Cell. It's pretty fun and easy except for a couple of annoying levels (helicopter and boat) late in the game. Definitely play on the highest difficulty if you get it so you won't have to replay for the Achievement.

Following up on Wednesday's news, here's my Gerbil Physics exclusive preview.
It's a fun game. I have the board game as well and it is so much better with friends.
I've never heard of it (WP7 or Board game version) until now. Sounds interesting.
Toy Soldiers: Boot Camp wages war on Xbox Live for Windows Phone - Please let us know here how you feel about the controls after playing the game.
I'll check out the demo and see what I think, but I wasn't planning on buying it.

And The Sims is deal of the week again!?!??!?!?! It becomes an easy pass for the 3rd time. Considering I spent $0 on XBLA, PSN, and WP7 this week, I think I'm gonna break down and buy House of the Dead: Overkill for $20.

EDIT: The swipe controls seemed to work ok (but not pinpoint accurate) for the game I was playing (shooting smoke clouds, airplanes, and missles) but the other 2 controls (tilt and d-pad) both seemed like they wouldn't really work at all. Demo didn't do anything to make me feel like it was worth $3 either.

Im guessing no one is purchasing Sims 3 when its on sale? I'm STILL not throwing $5 at a WP7 game, especially after trying the demo for this. Saving money this week!

I paid $5 for Puzzle Quest and Castlevania Puzzle. I actually haven't put all that much time into either of them, but I think they were both ok purchases for $5.

Sims, on the other hand, is laughable. I would MAYBE consider it if it got really good reviews, but this version apparently isn't very good at all.

Ah, very true. Forgot that Castlevania Puzzle was on sale for $5, and I loved that game so much that I recommended it to a few friends. Didn't even try Puzzle Quest yet even though it had good reviews from what I saw. But I heard so many bad things about Sims, yet I still went ahead and played the demo and just couldn't get into it. Clicking on tiny things in the game just to turn them on with my big fingers doesn't help either.

Yeah, plus reading the reviews it mentioned something strange about the way the game saves, or does not save. No buy for me. It is too bad because Sims could be a decent on the go type of game.

Next week DOTW gods give me Plants V. Zombies or de blob.

In its defense, they fixed the saving issues in the January update.
