Ya, it seems to pick up the deals pretty quickly.

Also, Chicken's Can't Fly is awesome! I understand why it's in EastX's top 5 from a few weeks ago.

Yeah, I saw this, that's awesome. I'm definitely jealous.

Also, is the Chicken's Can't Fly avatar update live? In dressing my avatar right now, I saw Chickens Can't Fly in my list of games with awards. I don't have 15 gold trophies yet, so I don't know if they are in there yet or not.
 
I'm hoping for some exclusive deals/contracts for games on WP7 to be announced next week. Maybe get some of the more popular games that have been available for iPhone and Android (Game Dev Story, Scribblenauts Remix, etc.). And it might actually be cool to get Minecraft. I'm not a big fan of it, but I would be much more likely to play if I could build stuff while running errands or waiting at the doctor's office.

But most of all, I would love to hear Microsoft say that they are ditching Metro for the Xbox. I know it won't happen, but it would make me absolutely giddy to go back to NXE (preferably circa 2009).
 
I turned my Samsung Focus on yesterday for the first time in months. I had 22 game updates waiting for me. :hot: The thing got stuck at 14 updates remaining. Gave me an error that I'd run out of memory. So, I deleted a couple games I'll never go back to and got things going again.
 
I purchased Chickens Cant Fly earlier this morning, just checked the card and I got charged twice for it.....so I paid four dollars for the game and I really don't feel like calling over 2 bucks :/

This hasn't happened to me yet, but it sounds like it's a problem MS needs to straighten out.

I'm pretty sure everyone else who had this problem hasn't had too much problem getting a refund, so you may want to call. I know I would for $2, just think you could grab Angry Birds and Max/Magic Marker for that! :)

Haha, I could indeed get two more games with that! (already have Angry Birds but I'd find something :p) At least I use a prepaid card for the phone, since last time my main debit card had a double charge I had to tell my bank what happened as well, I'll see if I can make some time later and give them a call I suppose. On the bright side Chicken's Can't fly is a great game! I spent way too much time on one level going for a gold medal though, although I saw eastx say the same thing in his review.

I'll be at E3 again this year also. I hope Beeline will be there (Capcom's mobile division). We need to slap some sense into them so they can finally release some games!
 
Monstafish is pretty decent for only $0.99. Pretty easy achievements as well, even though one is painfully boring to get.

I've read a lot of stories and WP7 in-game reviews of people being double charged. I'm fearing this will eventually happen to me as well given the track record. Do you get 2 purchase confirmation e-mails from MS or do you only find out once you check your credit card statement?

Got two confirmation e-mails in the same minute, went to check my card to make sure I did get double charged and there were 2 charges from the same minute from the Phone marketplace. I was pretty sure that's what happened since both e-mails had slightly different id numbers.

Does anyone have the Nokia Lumia 900? I'm tired of my iPhone 4 and was really interested in it. I actually really like the Windows Phone interface and I used a custom made version of it on my iPhone. My big worry though is that the screen on the Lumia is bad. I know its a step down from the iPhone 4/4S but is it really that bad? I primarily use my phone for music and web browsing.

I've always liked this franchise and while this one has so-so reviews, I'll pick it up since it's only a dollar now!

Unrelated to that, I contacted the chat support and got a call from them and did end up getting a refund on the second charge of Chickens Can't Fly!

I have an arrive, but I have played with the lumia 900. Nice phone. If you go to wpcentral.com there is a forum regarding the phone and could get some insight there too. The reviews on the phone are top notch btw.

good question. I think it depends how you transfer the game saves. I switched phones a couple times but just downloaded my purchases and did not try to transfer progress. I would like to know too. Just backup saves on CPU?

I passed on monkey all a few times...hmm. Anyone recommend?
 
You know what? Even though I saw the WPCentral article about the sale for Dragon's Blade and don't want to devote too much time gaming on the phone (got my 3DS after all, along with a little backlog on it), I'll just bite on this sale. I'll just hope I don't addicted to it lol

Thanks I actually got myself really excited and think I'll pick it up unless the iPhone 5 looks amazing. Then again iOS has gotten very boring and ultimately I don't like the interface at all, it feels like a fisher price OS to me. I was actually glad to hear that the screen looks fantastic even at a lower resolution.

Yeah, I bought it for $2 and had enough fun with it. The tilt controls are pretty stringent, you almost have to tilt to the point that you can't fully see the screen at times. But if you give it some time you'll get the hang of it. Check out the demo beforehand and see how you like it.

I was able to get 150 gamerscore out of it, the last level seems pretty impossible though, I never beat it.
 
Like Yamayama said, there is sadly no way to transfer game saves. If you're getting a new phone and losing the old one, try to finish up everything you can before making the switch!

Same here. Hate that stupid level and everyone who designed the levels. There is a tombstoning trick though, locking your phone and unlocking to restart on the level with full lives. Hope that still works after the latest patch.
 
OMG I finally got the HTC arrive and spent over TWO HOURS installing Zune crap from my pc to the phone to download games. What a pain in the fucking ass....Now that that's out of the way, I'm off to download all the free games, Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja and Chicken's Can't Fly due to Paul's recommendation! (and everyone else of course) :D

Haha yes, when I first got my Arrive seeing all of those things download seemed like it took forever! You'll definitely have fun with the games that you listed, and I hope you enjoy your new phone!

I've been having problems this week running out of space on my Focus. I've deleted probably over 10 games, and my free space in the About section of Settings does not change. Is there something I need to do to reclaim this free space?

Also, I've been playing a lot of trials and games this weekend. I took quite the break from my WP7. BulletAsylum is a bad ass game.

Did you restart the phone after you deleted before you checked the memory?

Yeah, I was hoping for a Summer of WP7 lineup. :) I think June 20th WP8 will be announced? Perhaps a focus on apps and games then? I am intrigued with the smartglass tech. I was also hoping for more connectivity between the phone and xbox. Smartglass is a huge step in that direction, but I was hoping for games that utlize both, like the future of vita and ps3 connectivity.

I am also interested to see nokia and possible pads.

I know I had restarted it a couple times the other day. I just tried again now and went from 599MB of free space to 2.07GB. I feel better now. :)

Drooling in anticipation. Dieing for some news on WP and wp8 tablets. I would assume the same marketplace? and apps will work on wp and the wp8 tablets.

I would love to see MS push a Summer of WP games like they do for arcade.

I swear MS was working on making MS points transfer to $'s instead of points and create it so you can spend the money/pts on the xbox and your phone? Maybe I misread or it was just a dream.
 
Think I'll wait for Battleship to drop in price. backlog is sizable now and since i want to change my phone but the lost of save files is a big problem.
 
Hmmmm....I got a card in the mail from my bank with an offer that if I put 10 charges on my debit card this month, they'll put $10 in my account, there's no amount restriction, hello 10 1$ apps/games?
 
Ah, mines a local Credit Union so they don't really have a lot of big rules. I don't have to order anything in a month, which is nice because there are times where I really don't buy that much stuff.
 
Deal has been live for me as well. Is it really not worth it, or are you all just jaded because its been the Dotw so many times? I ask because I'm thinking about picking it up.
 
I hated assassins creed. On screen controls make platforming a bitch.

Controls are pure garbage. Altairs voice and personality are grating.
