Would you have purchased Wii Sports if it wasn't included?

I enjoy Wii Sports, and since it's only the 3rd game I've ever gotten my whole family to play in the last 20 years (the first being DDR, the second being Karaoke Revolution), I'd say it's worth it.
I don't buy this logic at all, and never have, honestly. See, there's got to be a point where your personal enjoyment must be set aside an the game must be looked at as a consumer product, where the content is evaluated clinically. I mean, for the first six months I had the 360, I played the living s*** out of Geometry Wars, but does that mean I'd pay $50--or even half that--for the game? Should Virtual Console games cost more than most of the $50 new Wii games?
Wii Sports is a new game. Plain and simple.

Virtual Console games are old games that are tweaked to run on an emulator. Geometry Wars was an unlockable extra in PGR2 - only minimal graphical updates were made. In both of those cases, there's a strong possibility that you paid $50 or so to have that game already.

As such, the fresh, new game would warrant a higher price tag than the brushed up port.

I don't know about you guys, but the bowling challenges had me on my feet for at least an hour this morning.

Agrees. The Tennis is fun, but some of those challenges are just hard :(

The challenges are *really* hard for me for some reason, even though I do pretty good in the actual games. My Wii Fitness score is appalling!! :)

I just got a 25 today :)

In a way, I wish they had like.. a calorie counter/track for the boxing matches.

Tell me with a proper diet, and 5-6 Wii Sports Boxing matches a day won't help you lose some serious weight. I'm not even making a joke!! The day after the first day I played Wii Sports.. my arms were KILLIN me!!! (LOL @ not working out normally, meh)

There's so many game ideas to come. I can't wait. There just HAS to be some sort of fitness game.

Yeah, Wii Sports Boxing seems like a really decent cardio workout. Plus it'll get you trained up for a fight with Uwe Boll in case you want to make fun of his movies in public! :)

wii sports is pretty fun with alot of people, i got to play it with all my cousins yesterday

at first i thought it was weird cuz u gotta move ur arm around but after a couple mins its FUN

I would pay full price in a heart beat, and I plan to if they bring out Wii Sports 2. The game was fun as hell from the get go, and the more I play the more depth I discover. Nintendo has created something special here, and I can't to see what else they have up their sleeve.

I wouldn't have given it a second look if it wasn't free because I don't like sports games, but now that I've played it and seen how much fun my guests have with it, I would say absolutely yes I would pay a full $50 for it, with no regrets.
