Probably a silly question but do you need the full Peggle game to access Peggle Nights? I bought Peggle on my lady's account on my Xbox but I want to buy Nights on an extra account that is on my Xbox and also my nephews Xbox. Would be nice if my nephew could play Peggle Nights alone on his Xbox.
You need the main game to play Nights.

I blind bought CoJ: Gunslinger when it was on sale last week and just started playing it

wow this game is awesome.  The main menu music is pretty epic, loving the spaghetti Western/Morricone influences in it.

for $3.74 I feel like I got a steal.

Was Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 delisted already? I just checked the 360 dash and the xbox.com listing and the full game is on neither (only the DLC). I have the disc version of the game already, but wanted a digital copy for $5.  :whistle2:(

It was supposed to be the 26th from what i'd heard but I wouldn't put it past em to get that wrong. Make sure you check the xbox.com store also, as it is likely to be delisted there last.

Came here to say that i'm glad that i bought Castle of Illusion. It's much better than what most of the critics say. Platforming could be a bit more precise, but it's no game breaking bad or something. Nice atmosphere and the art style is better than let's say Ducktales one.

So happy with all these recent sales. Got every XBLA from my wishlist (Runner2, Ducktales, Castle of Illusion). ^^

Gunslinger was pleasant surprise. It's more fun to play than most of the new full price fps games around.

A public announcement for those interested in Duck Tales:

Remember this game also came out on disc. The retail version has 1000 GS vs the 400 GS you get with the arcade version. For those who care.
Since the retail version has 1000 GS (i.e., the system recognizes it as a full retail title), does installing it to the HDD still play off the DVD like other XBLA on disc games, or does it actually play off the HDD after it validates the disc?

On the Xbox dashboard, Eternal Sonata is showing up as 50% for this Weekly Gold deals. If you actually click to buy it, it shows up as $3.74 which is 75% off. I am thinking that it's like that price error that occurred with Skulls of the Shogun a while back. So, the price for Eternal Sonata may jump up to $7.49 any moment.

EDIT : Moon Diver doesn't even show up for me in the Weekly Gold deals page. I'm assuming this is also a price error as well.(?)

If I ever devolve into this way of thinking and caring about GS, somebody please put a bullet in my head. But then again I'm in my upper 30's with a wife and two small children. Not knocking anybody who might do such a thing, but I cannot fathom making something like that such a high priority to where I would pass on a much better price for the exact same game.
Upper 30's. Check

Wife. Check

Two small children. Check

Bullet in the head. Nope

Anyway, not to start a long discussion here, but I really don't like the attitude some people have about other people valuing GS. To each his own, and the holier-then-thou comments show nothing but narrow mindedness and ignorance. You enjoy your games the way you want and others have the right to do so as well.

Achievements are not the most important aspect of playing these games (as evident by my 57K GS), but I do enjoy it when an achievement pops up on the screen. It gives a sense of accomplishment. Also, I feel it adds to the gaming experience because it gives you goals that -if you choose to- can strive to get. Not unlike challenges and missions that many games provide.

For the record, my comment about Duck tales was meant to inform people of the existence of another version. I personally have a full HD and have a preference for physical media. So if I choose to forgo this deal due to my own circumstances, then that does not mean there is something wrong with the way I think. That's if I even cared about Ducktales in the first place. I am not planning on picking up either version.

So grow up and think before you make these types of comments please. Oh, and have a merry Christmas.

Is Eternal Sonata really good? I played the demo and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Is Fight Night Champion worth $5? the last one I played was Round 4 and it was a lot of fun but this one looks like it just took a dark and gritty look.

Eternal Sonata is worth $8 or so I'd say so it's a nice deal,

Anyone know if a USB Hard Drive is good enough to play XBLA/GoD/Installed games from or is it primarily just for backing up save files?
Depends on the speed of the drive itself. Also they still only allow it to be formatted for about 16 usable GB, which SUCKS for external HDDs. If you have one fast enough however, they seem to work fine for arcade titles in my experience, but not so well for anything with a lot of loading screens or FMVs.

I Have no problems playing it off a USB flash drive so I want to say you should be fine. Only problem I have with flash drives is it's slow as balls to download from Live to it, but it maybe different for your hard drive.

It's 32GB. It's been this way for I think over a year now.

Yes, it does. It's usually pretty easy to get into a Team Deathmatch game during normal hours. A lot of people still play that mode. The other modes, Fumigation (Domination), Psych Warfare (Capture the Flag) and Bounty Hunter (Team Deathmatch with coins) are so sparsely-populated these days that it's hard to get a match going with randoms.

The trial version gives you 60 minutes of playtime so download the trial and check it out for yourself.
Thanks for the info. I'll check out the demo.

If you liked Round 4 then Champion is worth $5, but besides the new story mode the game doesn't feel like that much of a stepup in comparison to the upgrade that Round 4 was from 3. Still worth $5, though.

Well bought DuckTales since that was my main want. Got wolf among us since it's free.

Considering FN:champion and I am alive.

Seeing as they are week long sales I might hold off to make any further decisions.

Is there a "best version" for Tale of Two Sons? Wasn't sure if one version had more or less content than the others If all things are equal I'll just get the 360 version

Is there any specific USB flash drive you bought or not? Debating if there are any differences between USB Flash Drives for using with an Xbox 360. Running low on the 120 GB HDD I currently have

To my knowledge they are all the same content wise. Of course the PC version runs at higher resolutions/frame rates, but that's sort of a given. If you are just going between PS3/360 it shouldn't matter.

I've mostly been using Sandisk, PNY, Cruzer and Kingston. They're all USB 2.0 though so I don't know if there will be a major difference or not in using 3.0 or whatever in terms of speed. Though I've yet to have one that didn't work or whatever, so really as far as I know all USB flash drives should be compatible.

I've played FN 3,4, and Champion. FN4 is the worst of all. It felt sluggish and counters were OP as hell. I recommend Champion, especially for $5.

Fair warning though. Some of the fights in Champion mode are a fuck ing pain in the ass. The game has frozen a couple times too. It happens for a couple seconds, then the game continues.

cant seem to find this information, but is brothers: tale of two sons, playable on xbox live coop?
According to XBox Live there is no co op since you're switching from brother to brother.
seems like this game was meant to be played with 2 player. for instance, my brother and I could have played it. missed opportunity. i'll still get it though
You don't switch between brothers; each is controlled independently via the two sticks.

I wouldn't call not having co-op as a missed opportunity as it's effective for the story that it's controlled that way.

So what's the verdict on Gotham City Imposters? Heard a few things here and there, but most people saying something generic like, "If you like this sort of thing, you'll like this." Anybody try it personally and like or dislike?

You can still play it like that - he takes one stick and you take one stick. That's similar to how Space Channel 5 does co-op. But check this out - invite a girl over and play it together, then after the ending,
when she's bawling her eyes out
, you're in like Flynn.

Dislike here. It's a generic PvP shooter like Counterstrike only not done as well. Everyone will be higher-level than you too, which means they have better skills and perks, making you cannon fodder.

I tried the trial and thought it was a decent TF2 style game. Hard to justify buying it though when the community is likely shrinking and it's F2P on PC. Just my 2¢.

All episodes for just $10 is excellent deal. Didn't expected a season pass sale that soon.

Dang, I wish Foul Play was slightly less expensive. With a backlog filled with the likes of Castle crashers, Charlie murder, and both Shanks, I cannot bring myself to buy another beat em up at this price. Then again I paid $10 for SoulCalibur2, so I guess it's not a valid excuse.
