Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Kingdoms of Amalur is on sale for $6.59. Great game at a great price.

Dragon Age II is $5.

Seems like it might be an EA-RPG sale.

BF 4 Assault shortcut is $4.68, not Gold.

I love reading your post each week :)

Just bought Red Johnson since it was on sale. I couldn't download it because my HDD was full so I deleted stuff, went to my download history......and now it's trying to charge me again.

*sigh* I really hate dealing with customer support.

If you don't have Kingdoms Of Amalur yet, do yourself a favor and buy it. It's one of the most amazing open-world action-RPG experiences around, thanks to a fascinating world, lovely colours, a lovely combat system (that is closer to God Of War than to, say, Dragon Age), plus it's got tons of content: easily taking up 100 hours or more to complete everything. It's fairly easy too, and 1000G is definitely feasible difficulty-wise, it's only a bit time consuming. Same goes for its DLCs which are worth the money, although only one of the two seem to be on sale right now. I suggest trying out the demo, see how you like the combat system after a little bit of getting used to it: if you're into it, buy the game, to me it was worth a lot more than these 6 bucks.

Game's so bad even your download history is too ashamed to admit you bought it.

Not surprised that this meets your standards of graphics and P's.

Looks legit. Will probably be the first XB1 game sold at Family Dollar, Dollar General, and Dollar Tree though. I'll wait.

Why the hell did you put up a screenshot of the show? Wouldn't it have made more sense to put one of the game because there is no fucking way the game can look that good.
Well you won't believe it but that's action packed gameplay right there. I'm assuming the player is the guy without the hobo beard? Not sure why they made that an option though.

Game description: Hunt, Race and Prank to Become a Robertson! Take on the role of Willie’s son John Luke as he learns how to become one of the Robertson Duckmen! Interact with Willie, Uncle Si, Jase and the rest of the family from the hit TV show. Go duck hunting, varmint shooting, off-roading and play office pranks in the Robertson’s hometown of West Monroe, LA. Will you learn the way of the beards? • Call in ducks to your blind using a variety of calls and then fire away. • Hunt Louisiana wildlife including squirrels, frogs and fish for Miss Kay to cook her famous dishes. • Join Jase in duck call room antics as you sneak around the warehouse to trick Willie. • Race against Willie in an airboat as you drive across the Robertson family swampland. • Uncover Uncle Si’s bizarre “treasures” with a metal detector. • Track down pesky beavers with Phil to stop their damns from ruining the duck ponds. • Play through 3 game modes including the main story, duck shooting galleries and airboat racing.
I don't know what you people are going on about I've been waiting for a beaver tracking simulator for well over a decade. Well worth the $50 IMHO

All true. I love this game. I am, however, stuck in the dead kel dlc. I finished all the quests in it but now I don't know how to leave the island. I haven't played it in a long while because of this. I know there's someone I have to talk to, just can't find 'em.

Seems like the sales just like randomly stopped

Figured they would be more but i guess these arent horrible

it gives me another week to build up mi bing points atleast

360's Marketplace seems very glitchy tonight (lists of games coming up empty) ... so I'd wager the Xbox Ops Center (XOC) is a little busy tonight, and price changes are a lower priority. :)

I haven't played the game but from what I've read online once you finish all of the quests you're supposed to talk to someone named Rast Brattigan who should be by the pier and then you can leave.

Trying to build Inquisition hype? What are the dlcs for DA2 that are actually worth it? I would guess Exiled Prince isn't one of them since it's on sale.

Legacy is far and away the best DLC. Its classic Dragon Age all the way. I personally liked all of them but if you had to get just one, let it be that one.

Awesome. Is the only way to avoid the MotA corruption bug is to not play both this and the Legacy dlc in the same file before the endgame? There was some other bizarre stuff about deleting all items from dlc but are these meant to be played before the endgame or after, as I'm assuming there is a postgame to finish up quests or just muck around?

Really? The artwork seems directly imported from WoW, the "lovely" combat system is rather dry and unsatisfying, the pacing is that of an MMO so it takes five times as long to do anything as it should - yes, you're right, it easily takes 100 hours to complete everything, but it could have been more satisfying if it had taken 20. Not to mention how easy it is on the most difficult setting. I've literally never died in the game, and only stumbled across the fact that it was possible to die from an online discussion. I honestly thought that it was a plot/gameplay point that it was impossible to die. Apparently a new difficulty setting was coming in a patch before the developers died of shame. How was it missing from the initial release?!

At least on PC you can throw on a difficulty mod and enjoy some challenge.

A 5-6/10 game. By no means horrible, ticking just enough boxes to get by. But up against last week's Dark Souls / The Witcher 2 RPGathon (or even Lego Batman 2), it simply doesn't compare. 100 hours here is a cost, not a benefit.

Just playing Devil's Advocate, of course. ;)

I'm glad someone feels this way. I put 60 hours into the PS3 version because of plus. I was still waiting for this insanely good combat everyone kept saying it had. after playing the witcher 2 and dragon age origins, Kingdoms is a turd that just sucks away time from playing better games.

Thanks for providing such a well thought out and insightful comment. I haven't played the game (although my son enjoyed it) so I can't comment on your opinion, but I appreciate when people take the time to articulate points and provide well reasoned information and viewpoints.

I thought it was pretty bad too. Especially because unlike you, I encounted some cheap and random deaths. I remember in one quest I fought and beat a boss, collected his loot and then walked on at about 80% health....before suddenly dying. I then was expected to redo the entire boss fight that I had already beaten. Sorry, but If a game is gonna be that shitty it's not worth wasting your time.

FYI the developers didn't "die of shame;" they were an unfortunate victim of the 38 Studios collapse as that was their owner who originally saved them from closure in 2009/10 when THQ was cutting studios to stay afloat.

They were close to a deal with either EA or 2K for a sequel before the Gov. Of Rhode Island decided to make the 38 Studios state loan a political issue & the publishers walked away leading to 38 Studios going bankrupt.
