Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

I have to laugh at that since I've seen it relatively recently at Walmart and Target for $30.
That was an official MSRP drop that happened in July for the 1-year anniversary and was reflected with GS & AZ remaining new inventory, but as stock has depleted at GS/AZ, the price has risen as the game is officially OoP by EA b/c of the player likeness lawsuits, and there is still demand for a college football game. Look at the price of the horrible MLB 2K13 just because it's the 360's final baseball game, and NCAA Basketball 10 that I mentioned before.

Kinda surprised the download is even still available. Don't be surprised if that game suddenly disappears one day.

If you can still find one of those $30 WM/Target sealed copies, it's an easy $60 minus fees profit flip selling it on Amazon. Sure it's close to the same price on EBay.

Anyone recommend $5 Magic on Xbone?

Edit-Read some scathing reviews about it and how it forces you toward microtransactions. No thank you.

Off topicish kind of funny story, just wanted to share.
I went to gamestop during their 40% off sale andbon a ton of games for under $1 with the idea of using them as presents for Christmas stockings or simply reselling them at yard sales. Among the things I got, I got 3 copies of Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, an old FPS from 2006 that I never got around to playing, but had great reviews. I get home and I plan on playing one of the copies of GRAW. I Was in a hurry so I didn't check if they were complete or anything and I was only paying 62 cents so I didn't really care. I open the first case (a platinum hits version) And everything is there. The disc is the platinum version of the game and everything. Nice and complete. I open up the second case, which is the standard case. It's also complete, but no GRAW. Instead, they had accidentally given me the case for GRAW2. GRAW2 is another one I had almost gotten but I had decided to try the first one as GRAW2 was slightly more expensive. But oh well, I got it cheaper so no harm done. I open the third case. It's complete, but no GRAW or GRAW2. Yep, the third case had Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. I thought it was hilarious that they only gave me one copy of the correct game and ended up ripping themselves off.

TLDR; Gamestop fucked up and I got the whole Ghost Recon Trilogy for less than $2

Now, on with the sales!

I like Magic 2015. The deck-building interface is utterly stupid, but just as a game of Magic, it's as good as all the past ones. Unless you have to have Two Headed Giant mode, which they took out for no reason.

Interested in Sanctum 2, can anyone speak to their experience with the game? I remember hearing about some bugs or some such that was hindering peoples experience. Also, if you have a minute, could you let me know how you like or disliked the game and if it's a pretty solid value for the sale price.

Thanks very much in advance!
Sanctum 2 is fun, but it's too hard. Single-player, it gets hopeless after a while. Multiplayer, you'll have fun but even then, it can be tough. I wish the difficulty had been balanced more fairly.

The whole amount? That's awesome. I thought they would've given you a partial refund, but that's cool.
If they refund you on a downloadable game, it has to be the whole amount. They generally revoke your license when they do the refund.

Dashboard (360) says that the Lord of the Rings Lego games are the sale for today.  LOTR movies and other stuffs on sale also, so it seems the rest are persistent deals.

This happened similarly to me..I was looking for the original blublaze fighting game, and got it. When I got home, I got the most recent blublaze game, but not the original. Happy accident!! :)

Anyone recommend $5 Magic on Xbone?

Edit-Read some scathing reviews about it and how it forces you toward microtransactions. No thank you.
They released an update for the 360 version, and the Xbone version released with the update already applied, that made it so you can get all the cards without microtransactions. They thankfully fixed what all those scathing reviews were talking about.

If you enjoy Magic, then I recommend it. I like in 2015 that you are fully able to make any deck you want with the available cards (each battle you win unlocks more cards to build from), where as in previous games, you were limited to the pre-designed decks.

Is the Titanfall Deluxe edition for the 360 crossbuy with the XB1 digital version? I think that was true a while back but don't know if that was a limited time promotion or if it's something still going on.

How is Max at that price? I'm sure people commented about it when it went free for the xbone but can't go back 80 pages to look for it. :whistle2:k

Is there a difference between the Titanfall Deluxe GoD and the disc version, other than not being able to install from the disc of course?

Been waiting for Powerstar Golf to come down to a reasonable price. Might also bite on Capcom's D&D, Code Veronica and Max. I ordered a $25 Xbox card from Best Buy over a week ago. I hope it arrives soon. I've got a backlog to inflate!

I'm in for the Mordor SP, glad I got the game when it was $30. Now I wait on the rest of the daily deals.

DR3 is the only game I want from Capcom until they make a sweet new Mega Man X game..an RPG would be cool.

PvZ:GW is well worth your money, they do have micro transactions, but don't bother with buying anymore than $10 bucks worth & buy that when you first start if anything. You'll be able to unlock a few characters and get some plants.

Also, use the Sunflower, until you get the Power Flower. The Sunflower class is by far my favorite.

I see Costume Quest 2 is $10.04.  I never played the first game.  Opinions on both games?

Both really great if you like classic turn-based RPGs and humor. I enjoyed the second one a little less than the first though.
Thanks. Sounds like I should check them out. I do love me some turn-based RPGs. My biggest complaint with games last and current gen is the lack of turn-based RPGs. I'm one of those old school FF geeks that enjoys level-grinding and such.

I had thought that the only paid content in the XB1 release was unlock packs for the cards (instead of taking the time to earn them) and the expansion. I know the 360 version got huge backlash because of that and I know they definitely went back and tuned that down a bit. Loading up the X1 version now to try out and I'll see how it is and report back.

Edit- The free physical booster offer ended yesterday... Should have started it up yesterday I guess. :wall:

SWEET! I will have to pick it up later this evening.

I really enjoyed the first one, but the dlc was pretty uninspired and boring. I have my hopes up for the sequel.

Also I didn't know this is a 1000GS game. So now there are 3 1K GS XBLA games, right? Costume Quest 2, Guacamele, and Telltale's Game of Thrones. Any more I am missing?

Are those reviews from the XB1 version? A lot of that was supposed to be changed from the 360 version.
So far the only thing I've seen at all about additional purchases is a menu option that lets you buy the expansion (good), the card unlocks (lazy), and foil conversions (no idea why anyone would spend money on this). Some nice changes from previous versions though also some simple oversights that past versions had. Seems like the last couple years where it's a good representation of the game even if it's not perfect.

Peggle 2 has 1000gs I believe.

Meh, a bunch of games I'm not highly interested in for prices Best Buy and other physical retailers beat handily during Black Friday...I'll pass.

Speaking on Peggle 2. Is the 360 ever going to get some DLC for that ?

Also re-playing Res Evil Code Veronica for the first time since Dreamcast now and I still really enjoy it, tank controls and all!!

That's a shame. I was going to pick up Magic 2015 for $5, but if I am going to be harassed with micro transactions then I would rather just stay far away.

Damn RE Revelations  looks good but that price though suckks

i dont see this going to 5 or under but maybe at 7.49 i would get it

Not really hoping  for any specific sales but i wouldnt mind a sale on random arcade games for under like 3 bucks

I... really?

There's a main menu "Store" option and that's the only thing I've encountered. Other than the expansion it's all completely optional and I haven't seen any other prompts for it. If that's being harassed all the time I'm not sure how you play any video games these days.

Edit- It also will take you to the store from the card collection if you select a card you don't have. Selecting it shows how to get it in game then pressing A again will take you to the store or B will close the message telling you how to get it in game. X will take you to buy foils but I don't know why anyone would ever do that. Hardly harassment.

That ally AI also made you want to torture the game designers?
Yes. First time I beat the game I would have given it a rating of 2/10. After playing co-op, it goes up to at least 6/10. Not great, but you'll have fun for a few hours, especially if you know some Resident Evil history.

I really hope Jackbox goes on sale for $15
